Wierd Sprint Notification Text Message

I recieved a "registration" text message on my blackberry over the weekend from sprint stating that "your handheld has been registered with the wireless network".
I thought this was an interesting message because I've been on the sprint wireless network for over a year with the same device. When I called sprint, all they could tell me was that the wireless software had been upgraded. But now I'm noticing slower navigation speeds on the bb.
Has anyone else been notified by sprint of this change?

You would normally get that message when you register the host routing table under the Advance Options on your device. You may of had one sitting in the queue from the network waiting to update to your device.

Since I've updated my phone to Ios7, I am not recieving any push notifications for my text messages. I am getting the notifications for every other app, every social network, but not for my text messages. I have gone through all the steps with the notification center, everything is on and in order. Please help I don't know what else to do.

Did you try pulling up the control center and make sure that the do not disturb is off? That worked for me. Didn't know how it got turned on.

Sprint Missing Texts -- Something Odd

My wife has an iPhone 4s on Sprint, which she got after upgrading from a Blackberry. She has been not getting multiple texts from me and a few other iPhone 4 friends for some reason.
I've been watching Sprint forums to see if anyone else was having the same problems (they are) but I noticed something very odd tonight.
I have her in my contacts with her name, cell number, home number and her email filled out. When I send a text message to her cell number, it says delivered on my phone, but she never gets the message. If I send a text message to her email address, it shows delivered on my phone and she gets the message. We checked with a few other friends that have been messaging her and they have been sending her messages to her phone number, but they too have never arrived. Only when we send her a text message to her email address does it show up in her texts.
Any ideas?

What is the content of the texts?
For example, you can use characters in text messages that are not in the official SMS protocol (mostly international/type-related characters like the ellipsis, "…")
I've found that if any of those characters are present in an SMS, it will make the "sent" sound but at least in the case of Sprint those text messages will never actually be delivered.

Email to Text Message Notification

I'm trying to set up a text message notification for an "emergency" email account as my company is closed between Christmas and New Year's Day and I'm running into an issue with sending messages to Sprint customers, which is really weird.
I can successfully send the stock message that I have to customers @txt.att.net and @vtext.com for AT&T and Verizon customers, but when I try to send a message to @messaging.sprintpcs.com my message status says that everything went successfully, but the text is never received. Now to pile on the weird... I can create a plain new email message and copy and paste the Sprint text message address from the same rule that I'm trying to create and the message successfully goes to the phone. So to recap, email to text by a rule doesn't work, but email to text by a stand-alone message goes through without a problem. Everything seems to be tied to the email to text being generated automatically and on the Sprint network only. Sprint is pointing me to something with how the message is getting sent from GroupWise because a manual message will successfully go through but not the automatic ones. Has anyone ever heard of something like this?

Hmmm that's strange TopDiver. Let's get to the bottom of this. Have you checked the notification settings on the device? To verify the notification setting on the device click on menu>settings>sound>notification sound, then test device notifications.

Not found in Contacts - erorr message when composing SMS text message after Software Update 1.07 Sprint Centro

Hardware: Palm Centro
Wireless: Sprint
PC OS: Windows XP Pro
After installing the "Software Update 1.07 (Windows installer) for Centro for Sprint" (Article ID: 6012 - http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/6012_en.html) starting from http://sprint.com/downloads, I noticed the stock Palm Messaging application that comes with the device did not work as it did prior to the update.
I was able to fix it. Here's what the problem was and what I did to correct it.
"Not found in Contacts" message appeared when composing and addressing a new SMS text message.
In the Contacts app, Options>Preferences, I simply reordered the contacts from "Last Name, First Name" to "Company, Last Name", and saved the change.
I then immediately went back into the same preference, and changed the setting back from "Company, Last Name" to "Last Name, First Name", and saved that change.
Going back to the Messaging application, when composing a new message, now the Contacts database is linked again. Whew!

LG G3 Text message repeat notification.

Can anyone help me? The online guru couldn't! I set up my LG G3 text message notification to repeat every 5 minutes, this quickly became annoying, so I wanted to revert to a single notification. However, try as I might, I just couldn't find the menu in settings again! I tried to google it, to no avail, so I'm appealing to you, the great knowledgeable public.........thank you in advance!

Open up the message app and look in the notification settings from there.

Text message notification missing

My granddaughter has an iPhone (iPhone 4). She is not receiving any notice of an incoming text message although she is receiving the messages fine.. There is no badge by the text message icon showing the number of unread messages or any other indication of aa unread message being present. Under Settings/Notification Center/Messages the Badge App icon is turned on. In Settings/Messages all options are also turned on. What is she doing wrong? Help Please. Needless to say she both sending and receiving messages okay.

Agunats that is very strange! Did you happen to notice if these are messages from other iPhones (iMessages) or from other device types (texts)? You seem pretty familiar with the phone. Question on text message notifications with imessage open vs closed with iOS7

Before the upgrade to iOS7.1 when I received a text message my phone would vibrate both when the application was closed to nofify me of the message and when the application is open (I am looking at the text message) and then when another text would come through with the application still open the phone would vibrate again. Now that I have upgraded to iOS7.1 when the application for text messages is open and someone continues to text me while I am reading the other texts the phone barely (hardly able to feel it at all) vibrates. The problem is that if I leave the application open and am not looking at the phone then I don't realize texts are coming through. Anyway to fix this? I have power cycled the phone, checked all settings (that I can find) and turned off notifications and then back on again and still nothing.
Ideas?
Didn't have this issue before the upgrade.. Phone would vibrate the same with application open or closed. Would like that again.

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.
Unless you've iPhone 4S (looks similar to iPhone 4)

How can I disable Notification Centre in IOS5 and go back to getting the big blue text message notifications?

I have Iphone 4S on iOS 5
I flicked the button in settings to set up Notification Centre, but now I want to disable Notification Centre as the text notification is nowhere near as good as the old 'big blue' text received box.
1- where do I find button to DISABLE Notification Centre? (I can't find one)
2- how do I revert back to the old big blue box text notification?

I've tried literally every option available in "Notifications" to get back the big blue box, but it seems that every option I choose nothing really changes.
The messages continue to come up with the small box, green Message icon, and the name and Text Message beneath.
Is there no other way, or some sort of trick, to get the blue box back?

You choose whether to see text messages in Notification Center or not. If you elect to see them, they will display the phone number (unless they are from a contact in your contacts list).
You can choose not to see them at Settings > Notification Center > Messages.
