Wifi/3G Flicker after updating to 6.1.2

Updated from 6.0 to 6.1.2 prior to updating I always had fantastic Wifi at my primary location, never had a problem. Upon updating my wifi is not constant and my connection is constantly flickering between 3G and Wifi. Any suggestions?
- I already tried resetting my network connections on my phone.

  • Wifi grayed out after update. Restored phone as new. How do I get data from iCloud without wifi?

My wifi was grayed out and my battery drains drastically after updating to 6.1.3.
I have tried all possible solutions to get my wifi back. However, nothing seems to work. I am now trying to (at least) get my battery back to normal. I read in other posts that restoring the iPhone as a new phone > drain battery > full charge might help.
I did the restore as new phone and do not want to restore from back up. I just like to manually back up some (not all) data I've lost and keep my phone like this, like new. How do i back up my messages and photos from iCloud if my phone wont connect to wifi?
    Any ideas?
Is there another way to get my photos and messages back aside from doing an iCloud backup?

You can't view or extract backed up data at iCloud.com. AFAIK, without a WiFi connection, there is no way to retrieve your data. You'd need another iPhone to restore your iCloud backup to in order to retrieve it. Of couse this would require either doing an out of warranty replacement for your existing phone, ot borrowing a phone from someone, erasing it, then setting it up using your Apple ID.
You could make an appointment at an Apple store to see what the genius bar can offer you.

  • Why doesn't Wifi Sync work after updating ITUNE?

Hello, I updated my Itune to 11.1.4.62 version.
After updating, WIFI sync doesn't work anymore. I have to connect the cable to my laptop to sync it. Before this upgrade it was working fine.
    Now, I have Iphone 5. I run Windows 7.
I did all the recommended trouble shooting.
I disconnected the model and router and reconnected again.
On Summary page the Wifi Sync is CHECKED
I ran the diagnostic, but obviously it says iphone is not detected.
    I reseted my iphone.
    It still doesn't work.
How can I solve this matter and why does Apple have so many irrtating problems like this?

The passcode screen shows as usual but when I enter the passcode it says the passcode is invalid. This is the same passcode I have had for over a year, so I am sure I entered it correctly.  I stopped trying before the phone was disabled though.
I've seen other similar posts but they mostly say connect it to my computer, start itunes, then restore. I haven't synced with itunes in a long time, not sure restoring it would be a good idea.  I back up to iCloud much more frequently but can't remember for sure when I last did that either.  I'm afraid of losing stuff in the process of restoring it.

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

  • WiFi indicator gone after update!?!

Anyone else found that they can connect to WiFi but that the indicator is not displayed?
This is very annoying when in a WiFi hotspot and you do not know from main screen if you are connected or not...
You also never know when you have dropped out of range etc etc.. 3G indicator stays on continuously...
    Anyone Else?

    Sorted.
Had to go through settings and hard reset the network settings and reconfigure the wifi connection again.
Only thing I did after updating OS is to begin my BTOpenzone connection so I will do that again and see if it is that which caused the crash..
Actaully, I was not getting WiFi at all even though in settings network it told me I was connected and even showed a valid IP address.
    Thanks peeps.

  • I am facing problem with wifi and cellular after update  Apple iOS 8.0.2

How can we resolve the issue with wifi and cellular reception after update the iOS 8.2 on iPhone 5s 32 GB

    Try some basic troubleshooting:
    (A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    (B) Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
    (C) Setup as new (data will be lost if you do not have backup)
    Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

  • No wifi or bluetooth after update

My wifi and bluetooth are greyed out (insettings) and not functioning after update.
I have done a full restore, uninstalled and reinstalled itunes, cleared network settings, cleared all settings...yadda, yadda....
My wifi network is working fine for other computers in the house, so it has to be an update issue....
How many others with this problem?

Hummmm....I bet the line at the store will he huge after a update like this....
I'm gonna hold out for someone with magic voodoo powers to give me a fix before I brave that....patience has never been my strong point, though...

  • Wifi greyed out after update

I updated my iphone last night to 7.0.2 and now my wifi is greyed out and the blue tooth just spins. I have tried all the suggestions and it still doesn't work. It can't be a phone problem when it was working perfectly before the update. My phone is not under warranty any more and I shouldn't have to replace it when it worked before the update.

    Hello Staki_85,
Thank you for the details of the issues you are experiencing after upgrading to iOS 7.0.2.
I found an article with steps to take when you cannot enable Wi-Fi on your iPhone:
    Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Verify that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset >Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings
Ensure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
If your issue is still unresolved, perform a software restore in iTunes.
    Additional Information
If you are still unable to turn Wi-Fi on, please contact Apple for support and service options.
If you are able to turn Wi-Fi on but are experiencing other issues with Wi-Fi, please see this article.

  • Wifi calling broken after update to ios 8.1

    Hi,
after I updated my iPhone 6 to ios 8.1 IO cannot enable the wifi calling option anymore. I'm getting the T-mobile icon and and error message "Sorry, your request could not be completed. Please try again later."
Could somebody please help me with this?
    Thanks
    Fred

I read theT Mobile reply.  It sort of gives answer.  The issue is that 8.1 requires that you have an E911 address that is same as WiFi site.  Your T mobile network validates the address and only then allows WiFi calling.  I assume it is a safety feature that Tmobile has not made clear.  I wasted a lot of time with unnecessary network resets before gleaning from response the real goal.  You cannot just have an E911 address.  It has to be current each time you access a new WiFi site.

  • Wifi connection issues after update

I recently was prompted to update my S4 and after it has been completed, I have issues with the phone recognizing and connecting to known routers that I use every day.  I have the Wifi on all of the time and the two main routers that I connect to are at work and at home.  If I leave my house, and go to work, my phone shows that it recognizes my work router, but does not automatically connect to it.  The same scenario happens when I walk into my house; the phone recognizes the router, but won't automatically connect to it like it used to do.  The only way that I have found that my phone will connect to both of these places is if I toggle the "wifi on/off" switch.  Does anyone know how to make my phone automatically recognize and connect to known routers again?

And verizon is absolutely correct. Verizon provides cellular and data services and coverage for a monthly price.
Samsung is the maker of the devices and the operating system is done by Samsung/Google and then submitted to Verizon to eventually push out to their customers. Verizon is not responsible for a bad operating system update, Samsung is.
Like Apple devices, I personally applaud Apple for doing their own updates without Verizon it makes it easier to push out patches or fixes much quicker.
All phone manufacturers should be doing this so to have the carrier not get blamed for something beyond their control.
You wifi patch will come from Samsung.
Car analogy is not even valid in you Ford issue. The driver is responsible since they are the driver of the car.
Verizon is the car, Samsung is the motor that makes it run. Car won't run without a motor.
    Good Luck

  • Yoga 2 Pro wifi not working after update to Windows 10

Hi all, I just updated my brand new Lenovo Yoga 2 (13") from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. But after doing so, I cannot establish any WiFI/W-LAN-connection! If I go to the settings for network adapters in the system settings, I even caanot find the wireless LAN adapter as if it was not installed at all! Can anyone help me? Is there any source for new drivers or something else to fix this? Thanks a lot and best regards from GermanyJohannes

We had the same problem of wi-fi not appearing at all in network connections, with a newly bought Lenovo Yoga 2 13 with Realtek wireless just upgraded to Windows 10, and after a lot of tinkering managed to get it working. We did three things at the same time, which between them fixed it:1. Installed the Intel Chipset drivers for Windows 10 (from Lenovo's support site)2. Did a HARD/FULL SHUTDOWN (hold SHIFT when clicking shutdown), bypassing Windows fast hybrid shutdown.3. Accessed the BIOS, turned Wi-Fi setting in the BIOS off and on and saved settings (there's a button on the side to access the BIOS) I suspect the combination of 1 and 2 fixed it (with the FULL shutdown being key!), because I can't see just accessing the BIOS doing much, but thought I would list all 3 just in case! Sorry for not being more specific, but I hope this helps someone!
