Wifi calling from BB Curve

I just bought the BB Curve, I have a wireless network in my home and @ my office, how can i use wifi calling from my phone, I have T-Mobile.
secondly, I am unable to connect my BB Curve to my laptop using Bluetooth, not accepting my PIN, do i need a pass key for my Laptop as well?
Thanks

I blieve you need to have a service called @Home and a router supplied by t-Mobile.  As far as I know, all the BlackBerry models that t-Mobile has that have Wi-Fi support the service (generically called UMA).
Contact t-Mobile for specifics.

  • Wifi calls from a phone that is not mine

We have two iPhones at home. Everyone has its own phone number and iCloud account.
I set up "family sharing" when updated to iOs8. Now, when the other one gets a facetime call, I also receive that call even if I don't know who is calling!
Is it a sharing family "feature" or an issue?

i Have checked that and we have it differently. Now comes the weird part: my father came home today and he called via facetme to each phone and it worked perfect.
So I thought I might be getting crazy.
Later tonight  we were on the subway going to eat dinner and the other phone got a facetime call and both our phones were called at the same time.
So it seems it only happens when she receives facetime calls from a specific number, the others work well!
I called Apple support and they told me to disable handoff in both phones as the final solution. But I want handoff to work. So not only they hsve no clue about what's happening but they are not going to investigate it. By the way, I have Applecare in both phones....
    Any idea?

  • Wifi calling from Iceland

'm in the airport in Iceland. I've disabled data roaming and mobile data as I'm paranoid of getting a big bill. However wifi calling is working on the free airport wifi. I phoned 150 to ask if I will be charged for using it and the person I spoke to couldn't tell me. I'm now worried my call to 150 will rack up a big bill as the automated ee telephone system took ages to navigate to get through to someone. I have a galaxy s6.

It's all very well saying it doesn't work because ee says it does not, but I'm now in a Alaska at my in-laws with airplane/aeroplane mode on, mobile data off and roaming off and I am able to use wifi calling.
It does work abroad unless my phone is a weird exception. I'll do an ee chat thing today to see about cost.

  • My phone name comes up when my wife calls from her phone

For some reason, my wife's Iphone shows up as my Iphone name when she makes calendar appointments and when she calls people.  I have here number in my contacts so I do not see that My name shows up when she calls other people.  How do we set her phone so that when she calls people, the caller ID comes up as her name.  Also, how do we change it so that when she sends a calendar appointment, It comes up as her appointment and not mine?

You could manage your account and change your name here: https://appleid.apple.com/

FaceTime is free to use. You will not be charged for using FaceTime.

The Device you have, because of where it was Purchased will never be able to have FaceTime.
All you can do is sell it and buy a Device from a non restrictive country.

Just downloaded FACETIME on my 4yr. olf Imac running Snow Leopard. When making a call to my friend's Imac all works correctly going both ways. When my wife calls me via Facetime from her Ipad, I cannot click on "accept"- not there? When called by the Imac (newest), the "accept" or "reject" radio button appears for me to click and connect. On my wife's Ipad the two radio buttons always appear when a call actiivates Facetime and comes on?
There is nothing I can find in "Preferences" in Facetime to turn that on or off. I suspect it has to do with having a more current operating system; that the "controls" are in the operating system? [I'm guessing] It's frustrating getting Facebook calls from several friends on Ipads! Any ideas...VFP

I suspect it has to do with not having a more current operating system
Exactly, what Apple is doing is leveraging new features only on newer OS X versions to force you to upgrade OS X to 10.7 or later.
What they don't tell you is 10.7 or later will NOT run your PowerPC based software, some of it you can't get Intel versions like for perfectly working printers, scanners and games etc. So it can be a very expensive OS X upgrade to 10.7 or later with third party software.
    http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
Also they don't tell you is the risk in bricking your machine if the update goes badly, so you have to have AppleCare in case that occurs so it's on them to fix it. Else your paying money to replace the logicboard or buying a new machine prematurely.
A four year old machine can't have AppleCare, it's only good for 3 years from date of purchase new.
Your machine came with a boot hard drive, it's usually got about 4-5 years of life on it, then it needs to be replaced.
Also they don't tell you the newer OS X version has more abilities and features that causes your machine to slow down in performance, especially on older machines.
Also they implement new, idotic and extremely fustrating new user interface features in a arbitrary "you take it or leave it" manner with little or no fall back method.
So upgrading OS X is a gamble on older machines that otherwise would likely work perfectly fine for the next 5 years if one didn't need to have to mess with it.
Since Snow Leopard has slightly over 25% OS X version market share, your still good for security updates etc for the next few years if you just want to stay where your at and be happy.
OS X 10.4/10.5 need to upgrade, 10.6.8 ok still
The Lions are, well, not so welcome due to Scott Forstall retard UI issues, OS X Mavericks 10.9 is likely going to fix things a bit better.
But basically what is occuring is Apple is trying to force a faster hardware upgrade cycle with the more expensive products by leveraging features on the smaller devices that expire sooner.
Apple is a hardware company that leverages whatever it can to get you to buy more hardware, it's why they are as rich as they are.

  • HT5176 How can I make a call from my new iPad(3rd generation) with wifi+4G

How can we make a call from iPad 3rd generation with wifi+4G?

  • My new IPhone 6 will not receive a call from my wife's phone

I have a new IPhone 6. It will receive and ring all calls except from my wife's IPhone 5?
    Her number is not blocked.
    Any help?

Can your wife make phone calls to others? If her number is not blocked on your device, there is no reason you should not receive a call from her, unless she cannot make calls to others. A block would be the only reason you should not receive a call. Check with your carrier to make sure there is no restriction on their end.

Hi.  I will be happy to answer your question regarding making a call using a Wifi connection.  There is no application that comes with the phone that will allow you to do so.  All calls can only be made through our 3G network.   You can also check the application market on your phone to see if you see an application that fits your needs.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
    Thanks!

  • Facetime on Macbook not receiving calls from iPhone on Wifi

I have upgraded to Yosemite, and facetime is connected to my apple ID and the iPhone Wifi option is turned on.
I can call out from my computer using the iPhone no problem. Both the Mac and Phone are signed into the same apple ID and the telephone number is the same. So ... one way calls are working.
I can also receive calls on my Mac WHEN I am on a call from the Mac through the iPhone. I can hold and swtich, end calls etc etc ...
HOWEVER, when someone calls me on my iPhone and I am at my Mac, the Mac does NOT show the call ... my iPhone just rings over and over, no connection to the Mac ....
    Something is askew .... ??

Having the exact same problem , anyone have any ideas?

  • WiFi Calling.. Not if your phone didn't come from EE!

So WiFi calling has launched on the Galaxy S5 and S6 but they fail to tell you that you have to have EE branded firmware on your device to be able to enable this function.  If you brought your phone from the likes of Phones4U and third party contract sellers the likely hood is that you won't have EE firmware it will be Stock Samsung Firmware.  EE don't offer the ability to download their firmware or the ability to exchange handesets for like for like so basicly if EE launch a new feature that requires you to have their firmware... tough luck you ain't getting it.

    Your link is broken.
    http://community.ee.co.uk/t5/EE-Community-Blog/WiFi-Calling-launch-date-confirmed-on-Samsung-Galaxy-S6-S6-edge/ba-p/287124
    Read that thread.
The reason they limit Android and windows to EE firmware only is because this means they bought the device off them and that is what they want.
It is wrong yes I know.
I always zebras my devices Although for me it no longer matters as I am no longer an EE customer.
