Wifi Calling on Samsung Galaxy Alpha ?

Is there a new version of firmware coming to enable wifi calling on the Samsung Galaxy Alpha ? As I purchased this device very recently from EE and it's virtually the same inside as the Galaxy S5 (which does support wifi calling) it would seem reasonable if this phone were to support it too. Is there a release date for this firmware ? Thanks in anticipation ......................

The Alpha is not going to have this feature.

Thank you for your question. I understand that the page jumps when you scroll in version 30. Please first update to the latest version, 31 if you have continued issues there are scroll features in the about:config page you can tweak the number of lines that move when you scroll, but this should not be necessary.

I can't make or take phone calls, but i can message and use data. Has this happened to anyone else? I've gone through three Samsung Galaxy S5's in the past three days, two of which have this problem and one just stopped working all together.

My phone doesn't have any cellular phone functions...but it CAN send text messages and access data. Has this happened to anyone else? I've had new sim cards put in, ive done hard resets on the phone, i've rebooted the phone, done battery pulls, and tech support has reset the signal to my phone. Nothing has worked. (I just "upgraded" <- lol.... and my old phone IS turned off.)

Im in 79707. So to recap my whole case: I upgraded my device using the verizon wireless website. I received my phone and switched my old SIM card from my Droid Razr Maxx HD into the new Galaxy S5. Everything worked fine until the next morning (May 31st) when I woke up and the phone wouldn't turn on. I took the phone to the local Verizon store and they were also unable to turn it on. They issued me a new Galaxy S5 (referred to as phone 2) and switched my SIM card into that one.
With PHONE 2 i was able to make calls and receive calls, along with text and data for approximately four hours. After that, i was unable to use the phone function of the device, but text and data were still functioning. I took PHONE 2 back to the Verizon store where they attempted to hard reset the phone twice, they also installed two new SIM cards at the store. After this they would get the same error, which is the phone just reading "Dialing..." after attempting to make a call. The Verizon associate declared the phone "DOA" and issued me another Galaxy S5 (referred to as PHONE 3).
PHONE 3 worked well, with phone text and data featured intact from when I received it on the after noon of the 31st until approximately 2:30PM on June 1st. I contacted Verizon Tech Support via Gmail phone to attempt the correct the problem. They reset the connection, had me do a battery pull, had me close the "phone" application, and erase the data and catche, then restart the phone. All of which had no effect. My phone is still able to receive texts and use data (even with wifi off) it simply cannot make or take phone calls. all it says is "dialing..." when I attempt to make a call. When other phones call my device it rings once on their end and directs them to voicemail, PHONE 3 does not ring on my end.
I have made sure my old phone is completely powered down.

On the galaxy s6 after ee have enabled wifi calling should you get a wifi calling on/off toggle button in your quick settings bar as indicated by ees own setup instructions? I phone ee technical support but they were saying I would need to go into the phone settings all the time to toggle it. The native Samsung software build has this button available but not the ee software build. The technical support adviser tried to tell me that samsung haven't release this button yet, lol. I know there is a wifi calling toggle widget on the play store but access to this has been carrier blocked by ee on the play store. Anyway can anyone shed some light on this, should there be a actual quick settings button for wifi calling for the s6 on ee? It is bit of a pain having to go into phone settings all the time.

If by the Quick Settings Bar you mean along the top of the screen, then NO there is nothing available there for WiFi Calling on my S6.

Everytime I try to send a message to a person that does not have an Apple product ( Iphone or Ipad ) it comes up saying contact is not registered for iMessage and wont send it. I can only send them a message from my iPhone 4 instead. Do I have to install a new App from the App store to send these non iMessage cell users a message?

We have two Airprint capable printers thagt my wife uses with her Samsung Galaxy s4 but both printers are NOT listed on my iPhone 4s. any ideas why and how to correct??

I have two printers ... Cannon MS5400 and an Epson Workforce 840 ... both are Airprint capable as my wife prints to both via her Samsung Galaxy S4.
My iPhone 4S only has the Cannon listed when I go to print. Any deas as to what is going on and how to correct???

There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon.

Samsung galaxy note 3 call silent

Why can I not hear through my phone (samsung Galaxy note 3) when receiving or making calls? I can only hear if I turn the speaker on or have my bluetooth on.

This audio issue is a mystery montel! Let's explore options to resolve! First make sure that nothing (lint, etc) is inside your headphone inlet as this may cause some audio issues. Does Samsung Galaxy III phones recognized WiFi that does not broadcast SSID?

I recently purchased Samsung Galaxy III phone. At home, I turned on WiFi SSID broadcast on the router to set up phone to connect to router. I then turned off SSID broadcast on router, and phone no longer connects to WiFi. I understand security is better when SSID is not broadcasting, but this phone will not connect now. Apple products connects just fine. Why will the phone not connect to a router that does not broadcast SSID event when the information is programmed into the phone?

what revision Actiontec do you have, can you check the service Tag? it will say REV A, B, C, D etc.....

Can't Receive Calls On New Samsung Galaxy S4?

I'm unable to receive calls on my brand new Samsung Galaxy S4. I only activated the phone two days ago. When I call my number, it goes directly to voicemail.
Everything else works fine - I can make calls, send and receive text messages, synchronize my e-mail, etc. It's only impossible to receive calls on the phone. I've tried calling both from a cell phone and a landline. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I contacted a Verizon sales rep in Bethesda on Friday and he informed me that the problem is due to my telephone number not being ported correctly (I transferred my old number from my previous carrier). I have since resubmitted my porting request, so this should be resolved soon. Would you be able to give me an estimated time to completion of my request?
Another issue came up more recently - I am not receiving text messages from certain numbers only. Do you have any idea why this would be the case?

How to make a video call on a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge?

I have a new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and have been unable to make a video call. The settings are set to allow it but I am missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To turn HD Voice and Video Calling ON, you can go to Apps> Swipe to tap Settings>Tap Advanced Calling> Tap Advanced Calling again> Tap the Advance Calling Toggle to turn ON.
To make video calls, you can go to Apps> Contacts> Select a contact> Tap Call icon> From Active Call screen, tap Camera. (The caller will have to accept the change to a video call).

My Samsung galaxy 5 will not make outgoing calls

When ever i try to call somebody on my Samsung galaxy s5 the call will come up with a dialogue that says "Please re-enter the 10 digit telephone number you are calling, do not press send, *67, or *82 cannot be used on this call to block or unblock caller id". This is very annoying when i try to call people, like calling in sick to work or some stupid things like that. It will still ring and the call will just be fine if somebody else calls me but i just cannot make outgoing calls. I have tried to restore my phone multiple times and still no fix. If anybody knows how to fix this please let me know SOON!

hi Verizon Wireless Customer Support I have a simple question for you. How is it a customer's problem if VZWSupport cannot see the comments in that customer's account? Now, coming to the point of performing a factory reset. Yes, I performed the factory reset and yes, it has been determined to be a hardware problem. However, my point is that how does a customer suddenly go from paying full price for a brand new (and expensive) phone to a second-hand, 'like new' phone, which has a market value of half of the original brand new version? It just means that I ended up paying top dollar for a brand new phone and instead now have to live with a second-hand phone, which is completely unfair. And, it is unfair because Verizon is not reducing my monthly Edge payments, which are currently aimed to cover the full price of the brand new phone Galaxy s5. So, if you want to be fair, give me the second-hand 'like new' phone, but then also reduce my monthly Edge payment to reflect the market price of a second-hand phone.
