Wifi captive portal not working 10.10.2

Just updated to 10.10.2 and cannot use FON or any other captive portal wifi. It does connect to the wifi router and dhcp completes, but I neither get the popup from apple, nor can i navigate to a login page from a browser.
This is the first time in 6 years that OSX has been unusable for me but it is a disaster!

After experimenting with the network assistant on my own FON portal I got to the point where it told me to restart my router. After that, I was able to connect. Obviously I cannot restart any other captive portal I come across, but pass this on in the hope that it helps.
What does network assistant do just ahead of asking user to restart router - does it delete / reset anything specific?

I've seen issues with our wireless systems on WebOS devices running the latest software. If I try and use the HP Tablets with a captive portal log on. I can put in my creds to login hit submit, but nothing happens. Reviewing a sniff trace of the transaction I see "you have reached this page because you browser does not support standard http redirection commands"
My concern is most people are probably hitting the same issue based on what I have read thus far.

I am also having trouble with a captive portal on my school's (UC Berkeley) wifi network.
I can get to the login page, and enter my credentials, but after hitting "submit," nothing happens.
The little blue bar loads, and completes, but the page stays the same.
Any answers to this?

Apple TV (2nd gen) Support WiFi Captive Portals?

I can connect to the WiFi but cannot get to he Internet due to the WiFi captive portal. My iPhone/iPad connect fine. How can one do this via Apple TV? Btw, the provider doesn't support a MAC ACL. It's browser login or nothing.

Actually on my phone personal Hostpot won't turn on. it say contact your service provider. But I could connect to other phone's wifi easily. On of my friends has the same iphone but he could easily turn on personal hotspot and he is using the same carrier "vodafone". Also he has not contacted to vodafone to unable this setting.
only difference is that he purcahsed iphone 2 months back and mine is 10 months old. but its the same Iphone 4S

1. Navigate to the Control Panel (large icon view) > Devices and Printers and try to pair a bluetooth device (i.e. Bluetooth Headset) and observe if it gets detected under the device list.
2. If the Bluetooth Headset is listed but it's not working try toright click on it > choose Properties. On the bluetooth properties Window, go to the Services Tab and check all the appropriate bluetooth services.

I went to Control Panel > Devices and Printers and i tried to add a new device as the bluetooth doesn't appear this is what i got. By the way the bluetooth was on.

Ios 7 wifi connected but not working

my iphone 5s running ios 7 is connected to my home wifi but its not working, but my pc is doing fine on that wifi. and when i try connecting my iphone to other wifi it seems to work without any problem. i've reseted network settings many times and reseted all settings once but it wouldnt work for me. so whats the problem and how can i fix this?

Try power cycling your router. Remove the router from power for about 30 seconds and then start it back up again. After it is finished configuring, try connecting your device again.

I have gotten it to work by replacing the sp9 weblogic-tags-510.jar with
the sp8 weblogic-tags-510.jar. We haven't experienced any problems with
our app after using this workaround. However, we haven't completely
tested it either.

restore your phone as new through itunes. if the issue persists after a factory restore via itunes, it means you've got a hardware issue and the phone needs to be repaired

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Installed iOS7 update and now wifi and Bluetooth not working

My daughters 4s has never skipped a beat - perfectly reliable. Just updated iOS7 with update and now both wifi and Bluetooth not working. Wifi is greyed out and when you go into bluetooth the busy twirly symbol is constantly going round. Can someone please help me as I'm pulling my hair out! My other Daughters iphone 4s is fins BUT she has not downloaded latest update - and she won't until this is resolved. If needs be I will take to store and DEMAND for it to be sorted out - either by repair or replacement as it is wholly a seemingly software issue and nothing wrong with the phone.
Gutted really as I am a huge Apple fan and customer with ipods, phones, iMac & iPads all around. If this is not resolved I fear an Apple drought may begin!

Captive portals not triggering on Mavericks

I frequent locations that require a "I accept your policy, please connect me to wi-fi" screens upon connection, before allowing traffic to leave the local network. Prior to Mavericks, a small browser window would display, prompting me to accept and connect. On Mavericks, I have yet to see one of these.

Anyone having similar issues, or can point me towards a solution?

I was able to manually trigger the Captive Portal Assistant and work around the issue. Open up Terminal.app and type:
open /System/Library/CoreServices/Captive\ Network\ Assistant.app
After that, I saw the window I was expecting and I was able to click the "I agree" button, and afterwards my Internet was working as expected.

Bug - mobile configs in wifi captive portal state

The default behavior for installing mobile config files is to redirect the user back to the webpage they were on upon installation. However, in the captive portal state, it directs the user back to the profile page in the settings menu, it should go back to the psuedo browser. I believe this is a bug and not a security feature.

The file found here is the communication between this captive portal and Mozilla Firefox as confirmed working, taken using Wireshark. Probably the Pre browser interprets the javascript code incorrectly.

WLC Captive Portal not loading images or via HTTP correctly

Hi All,
I have a strange issue I'm hoping someone can shed some light on.
I have a CT2504 at a customer site which does not load the captive portal page correctly nor will it load via HTTP as opposed to HTTPS.
So for starters I did what I do with all my CT2504's (which work fine), I configured my Guest network to authenticate via the default captive portal. I then disabled HTTPS and SSH and enabled HTTP managment followed by rebooting the controller.
On boot, logging into the WLC management GUI is automatically presented via HTTP as expected.
However when clients access the Guest network they are redirected to the Web Authorisation via HTTPS instead of HTTP, any ideas?
In addtion to the above the captive portal page does not display correctly.
The preview via the controller works fine, but the client is presented with a page with broken links to the images i.e. the blue strip at the top and the Cisco logo on the right, any clue what's happening here?
