Wifi connection is not working with a known Wifi net with the macbook, while ipad and iphone are logged in and work absolutely fine
Why does my macbook suddenly says it has a time out to a well known connection, while ipad and iphone have a brilliant connection with the same wifi net?!

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem and is able to help me with it - When I do a video recording on my IPhone 4S and play it back, the sound is low and distorted. I have done several voice recordings in 'Voice Memo's' to test the microphone and speaker but they both seem to be functioning properly as it worked perfectly. You may have debris in your headphone jack blocking the sensor. Try blowing hard on the jack, and inserting/removing your headphones quickly multiple times to clear it.

On 3G we cannot send Business emails from either our iPhones or Ipad and this also happens with some WiFi connections but not all. Yet we can always send emails from our Hotmail Account using both 3G and WiFi.
We bought the iPhones and Ipad so that we could send emails while we are out of the Office, but we are not able to do this unless we can find a WiFi connection. Incoming emails are fine. We use IMAP, for Business emails just incase this is relevant and I know that Hotmail is POP3.
Our technical IT knowledge is not great, so we look forward to your suggestions as to how to resolve this.Contact whomever supports the email account and get the correct Outgoing email server settings from them.

Got a new LG in Anchorage and was told Glennallen, AK is in a service area. Got home and all I get is Message 41, Roaming.

I am having issues with streaming music from iTunes on my MacBook Pro to my audio system through AirPlay. Works perfectly with my iPod Touch. The AirPlay icon appears irregularly in iTunes and when selected doesn't connect. Running latest IOS software.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

I have an iPhone 5 and have just set up the iCloud for it. I also have an iPad with different content and I also want to connect it to iCloud. Will I lose everything that's on my iPad or iPhone or do they sync together without losing anything?
The problem is that all services are bundled with your Apple ID ([email protected]):
Your iCloud account (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, Backups, etc.),
also iTunes & App Store purchases (Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc.),
and the iTunes Match services.
(I guess that all your devices - yours and your wife's are connected to one iTunes library, right?)
If you want that your wife gets her own iCloud account for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc. but gets also access to your media then you have two set up two things on her device:
iCloud (Settings > iCloud) with her account (e.g. [email protected])
and
iTunes & App Stores (Settings > iTunes & App Stores) with your account (e.g. [email protected]).
In this case she gets access to your library and could use the same iTunes Match account.

Just installed the latest Canon printer software update (V 3.2) suggested by the App store in effort to get printer working after OS update. Canon Pixma MX850 will not print. Dialog says job stopped at the server - no pages found. Utilities, print test page works. Attempting to print via Airport from a MacBook Pro. Also from a Mac Pro via ethernet. Both worked before updating to Yosemite. Canon Pro 9000 Mk 2 works via USB. Tried installing driver 10.84 from OS 10.9 as suggested by PAHU; no luck.
The "stopped at server - no pages found" message would suggest an image with the print file that is created by the printer driver on the MacBook Pro. But if the Mac Pro is getting the same message then that is unusual.
To rule out a couple of causes I would try connecting the MacBook Pro directly to the MX850 by USB cable. This action should result in a new printer for the USB connection being created automatically. If not then you may need to manually create it as you won't be able to use the existing printer that exists for the network connection. With the new printer created see if this will let you print without error.
If this USB connected printer also fails with the same message then try a reset of the printing system. Note that this action will also remove the Pro 9000 from Printers & Scanners so you will have to add it and the MX850 again. -
My MacBook Pro was stolen last night. I need the serial number. It is not showing up on my devices list. My iPads and iPhones are. I have used it to to sync my phones and pads as well having it registered with apple. Any thoughts? Thanks

SIgn in with your Apple ID, the same one you used to access this support forum.
Hopefully, you will see a list of all the devices you registered with your Apple ID, including their serial numbers. Let me know how this works out.
Edit to add: If you enabled "find my imac" on your Pro, you ought to be able to remotely lock it, or even wipe its memory. Click http://www.icloud.com/ sign in with your Apple ID and click the big green "find my iPhone" icon (nevermind the name, it will find all your devices provided they're running Lion or iOS 5).
Then file a police report and nail the b*****d. -

You could try syncing the contacts with yahoo or google contacts, then sync them to the iPhone. Or, export the contacts and then import them into one of the aforementioned servicse, or iCloud, then sync to the phone.

my ipod app no longer works. Everytime I go to open the ipod app it stays open for a second and then shuts down. I am not able to get anything to play either through the standard ipod controls or the multitasking control panel.
