Wifi connection not active

When i first got my blackberry 2 weeks ago, i had no problem connecting to my home wifi network. i manually added the network, entered the network and success! Last night however, the BT network crashed and my internet died, and i think this has someone knocked off the wifi connection on my phone.
it's now telling me i have no active wifi connection and when i tried to connect i've had no luck
anyone got any suggestions as to how i can get my connection back?

power cycle your wifi router, and then logon to it and make sure the wifi settings are still correct and try to add it back in again. if it worked before it should still work unless settings were changed on your router.

What IOS and OS are you using Elissa. I think from your post it used to work but has dropped off, is that correct or has it never worked? If it did wotk has anything changed? Check your wifi use with sopmething like istumbler to see if it is being used by neighbours etc?

Share os10 wifi connection (not the mobile data)

Hello Gentlemen, Quick question: how to share the wifi connection of my bbz10 with tethering or mobile hotspot or whatever. I am connected to a wifi netwrok with the phone and I want to share this wifi with my laptop (unfortunately I cant connect ti this network with my laptop). I do not want to use the mobile data, but if I press tethering it tries to force me to enable mobile data. cheers.

Nope...the HotSpot function works by using the carrier data network connection on the device for any other devices connected to the devices WiFi hotspot. When the hotspot is activated, the ability for the device to use WiFi for data is deactivated. There is no bridge between WiFi data for the device and other devices connected via WiFi.

Seeing wifi connection, not connecting

My powerbook g4 has been having problems connecting to our linksys wireless network. the other laptop on the wireless is connecting fine. My computer has full wifi connection (bands all activated) and under network status has green for go and claims to be connected but will not load anything/connect. I've read thru several helps and threads to no avail. I've tried resetting airport the network port configurations to the first choice, resetting the dhcp under tcp/ip manually and by renewing the lisence. I am still getting an IP beginning with 192 and no connection.
also will not connect using the LAN line from the router itself.
any ideas?

This sounds like a DNS issue. See KB 106798, Mac OS: Troubleshooting "A connection failure has occurred", "The specified server could not be found" or Similar Messages.

Thanks for this mha007 - I can now open FF with a new profile. Can I copy my settings from the old profile or will this bring over the same problem, maybe a corrupt file. If it would bring the same problem, is there any way I can check which file is corrupt, apart from taking them over one by one?

Thunderbolt connection not active between iMAC Late 2013 and MBA Late 2013

I'm not able anymore to connect again the iMac and MBA by Thunderbolt cable. Some months ago I was able to use iMac as MBA external display and to activate Thunderbolt bridge. Now, the bridge is not active also if cable is connected. Is there some steps to do to reactivate the connection.

Why is my wifi connection not working?

Phone states there is wifi connection but pages will not load up?

I recently found that downloading several apps caused my internet to crash, on more then just my iPhone.
I deleted them, turned my phone and the internet off then on, and it worked fine.
If youve downloaded any questionable apps, you could try deleting them? x

We've changed internet provider and I can no longer get my iphone to get the wifi, the laptops and our other iphone have no problem, and I've never had a problem before with wifi connection. Any ideas?

If your phone can connect to other wireless networks, just not yours, then they are almost certainly wrong. 90% of the time it's the router. It needs to be broadcasting 2.4GHz with a channel width of 20 MHz, have the latest firmware update, be using WPA/WPA2 encryption (recommended), have MAC address authentication/filtering set to off (recommended), etc. A complete list of the recommending router settings is shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199. The most common fix is to update the router's firmware.
There isn't much you can do on the phone to troubleshoot this, beyond resetting network settings (which you've already done), turning wifi off, then back on in Settings>Wi-Fi, and powering off the phone (hold the on/off button until you see the off slider, slide to turn off) then back on. You could try these additional things, but I think your internet provider tech support people are going to have to help your troubleshoot the router itself to get things fixed.

Iphone 6 plus wifi connection not working

I don't know what the deal is but, I'm getting notifications of emails, and messages but when I go to the app I have nothing there. The problem has expanded and now apps aren't connecting to any wifi. I thought it might have been 3rd party apps, but now even the app store cannot connect. I've tried my home wifi, and my work wifi. Using my data plan, I have no problems connecting to anything. I'm thinking this is an IOS8 issue that needs a patch. If somebody has any other suggestions, I'm all ears!

So, that makes my iPhone 6 Plus, my girls iPhone 6 and my fathers iPhone 5S not flashing LED on messages and sometimes calls. There aren't any custom vibrations enabled on any if the devices. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it a known bug or am I just not doing something right here? i never had an issue before the iOS 8 release. Any help would be appreciated.

IPhone4 wifi connection not working

my iphone4 now no longer connects to the home wifi network or any other wireless network (so all data is provided trough 3G!!)
It picks up the wifi signal (the network is shown with a check/tick mark next to it) but the phone does not connect.
I have "forgotten network" "reset network settings" carried out a "full restore" and reset the phone to factory and still nothing....
When comparing to my girlfriend iPhone4 which has had firmware upgrade as well at the same time (exactly same phone purchased at same time) and yet seems to work no problems there is data missing in the "network settings" such at router.
Also the iPhone3Gs, MacBook Pro, Compaq etc in the house have no problems.
is it a hardware fault???

Could be. The phone comes with a one year warranty, make an appointment at an Apple store. If your phone is determined to be faulty, it will be replaced on the spot.

Lost wifi connection while activation so my installation code is already used... what to do?

I have a question about my installation code of the Creative Cloud membership. I've bought it at from a site my school suggests. Later when I received the installation code and download link I began with the activation on my Mac. After the step where I placed my installation code I had to keep my activation of my membership for a longer time. But then my wifi lost connection. I wanted to refresh the page but then the white squares where empty so I had to fill in my installation code again. But it said the code was already used. So I hope you have a solution for this.

HT201328 Why is my wifi connection not working?

my iphone 4s no longer detects wifi network although I have done all necessary resets and all parameters.
It was working fine until yesterday where it suddenly stopped without an reason.

This was tested. I have the problem when trying to connect to any wifi router even in public places. The iphone does not detect any.

I re-installed XP on my T41 and don't see the wirelles connection anymore.
I don't see it in the internet connection and can't activate it using the Fn + F5.

Nokia 701, mobile data & wifi connections not work...

I took my phone to Nokia care center, but now the mobile data is not connecting and the wi-fi is not connection as well.

They may have deleted the Access Point Names (APN's) during whatever procedure was carried out at Nokia Care. To re-add them you can contact your network operator to send you a SMS for your mobile APN. For Wi-Fi, you can scan for available networks and add your Wi-Fi APN back to the destinations folder.

Username and Password Required for Wifi Connection, Not Being Asked for Username

I just updated my iphone 4s to ios 8 and attempted to join my school's wireless network, which requires both a username and a password. i am being asked for a password but not a username.
my question here is how to have the username be requested as well.
