Wifi direct not working with other brands

Is it not possible to to uae wifi direct with other brands like Samsung S3,5,6 or others? Because im trying to copy some huge file using wifi direct but it was unsuccessful.

I am able to connect to my tesco hudl and my MxQ tv box.

Since you now have two 802.11n AirPorts, you will want to take advantage of the "extend a network" feature this version offers instead of the 802.11g WDS.
Here's the basic setup to extend the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) with the AXn ...
o If practical, place the base stations in near proximity to each other during the setup phase. Once done, move them to their desired locations.
o Open AirPort Utility and select the base station that will connect to the Internet.
o Choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu, or double-click the base station to open the configuration in a separate window. Enter the base station password if necessary.
o Click AirPort in the toolbar, and then click Wireless.
o Choose “Create a wireless network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and then select the “Allow this network to be extended” checkbox.

o Choose “Extend a wireless network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and then choose the network you want to extend from the Network Name pop-up menu.

ISight not working with other apps

I've currently been having a problem with my Intel iMac (specs in signature) since the iSight works with iChat (the green light turns on and everything), but it doesn't work with other apps such Delicious Library or Photo Booth. I also have a Windows XP partition on here, and it works just fine.
With Photo Booth, I just get a green screen and no message. On Delicious Library I get a white screen and no message either. I've tried deleting the .plist file for Photo Booth, but that hasn't worked. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

If the problem continues, you may have a hardware or software conflict. Some users report that plug-ins installed by Delicious Library cause conflicts with iSight.
If your problem remains after trying all relevant Troubleshooting suggestions, uninstall D/L (or at least remove any QuickTime plug-ins D/L installs) to see if your system has a D/L conflict.

JSP include directive not working with Tomcat 5.0

I'm developing a small JSF webapp under Tomcat 5.0. My idea was to use the include directive to display a navigation panel on every JSP page.
I took the code straight from the Java Web Services Tutorial; the resulting page looks like this:

Ok, the solution with jsp:directive.include works,
if header.inc and footer.inc themselves are well
formed too. If I understood the concept right this is
because header and footer are processed during
request time and therefore interpreted as
'standalone' pages.This isn't true. The include directive (<jsp:directive.include>) is run a Compile Time. The code is inserted directly into the surrounding JSP (unlike <jsp:include> which forwards the request at runtime). The finished JSP, after the include, is then processed and needs to be well-formed XML.

What I would do is double check the correctness of the rest of the included pages and see if your error isn't something else.

ITunes WiFi Sync not working with iPhone 6, but works with iPad 1

I have an iPhone 6 and an iPad 1. The iPhone 6 runs iOS 8 and the iPad 1 runs iOS 5.
Yet, the iPad works fine using iTunes WiFi Sync with my Mac, while my iPhone never works with it. Whenever I forcibly make it sync by clicking on the device in iTunes and on Sync, it gets ejected/removed from iTunes. This doesn't happen with my iPad.
Is this a problem specific with the iPhone 6? Anyone know what I can do to fix it?
If I uncheck and re-check the WiFi Sync setting for my iPhone 6, then it syncs fine the first time again. But it doesn't work after that. So the device is definitely on the correct WiFi network at least.

It continues to be UNREAL how Apple will release iOS software without testing it. Yep. They BROKE WIFI SYNC. It no longer works on my iPhones or iPads either. UNREAL!!!!!!

Wifi is not working with 6.1.3 iPad 2

Is anyone else having issues with 6.1.3 and the wifi connenction? I updated to the latest iOS on my iPad 2 and my iPhone 4S and I an now unable to connect to wifi at my house. I have not tried different wifi networks because I haven't left home yet but I am unable to connect here. Anyway have a suggestion? I tried a hard reset and I reset the network setting but that did not solve the problem. I can see the wifi networks but I cannot connect to them.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Wifi Sync not working with Windows 7 64bit

Hi, having an issue with wifi sync for some reason. I am running Win 7 64bit, and I have tried everything on these forums with not luck. It is not my router because it works on another computer with no problem. I have enabled all ports, syncserver, etc. and nothing is working. I have done a complete uninstall, registry clean, and reinstall with no luck. I have noticed though on my computer when I check the box to allow my wifi sync to be enabled, all the box says is "Sync with this Iphone over....." It does not say "sync with this Iphone over wifi". The other computer I tried wifi sync with that worked said "sync with this Iphone over Wifi" Any thoughts on what would cause my itunes to not display the full message?

Why does the GPS not work with other programs?

It works ok with Blackberry maps. But there are about 5 or 6 programs that I use that will not lock GPS. The one that really florred me was the camera. I sit there and sit there waiting for the gps to lock on (turn from red to white) and nothing happens. We all know that google maps doesnt work (it only will use cell towers. After the STORM disater you would have thought RIM would have been a bit more careful with thier OS's. Hope they get a fix out soon.

I updated to Mavericks (10.9.3) and the organizer now appears to work.
However, it is extremely slow in previewing photos that were already on
the Mac and does not appear to be able to download photos from a Canon
5DIII. It appears to start but then spins and spins. It ran overnight
and was unresponsive this morning.

After upating my (2) iPads and iPhone to iOS 7.1 none of these devices will sync with iTunes version 11.1.5 via wi-fi. Is there a fix for this?

Problems with HP4620 not working with other computers in the house

I purchased an HP 4620 for my home and it works great wirelessly with my Vista laptop. However, it does not show as an option for our desktop or our second laptop. Any ideas?

OS means Operating system , Windows 7 and Vista are Operating system's for desktop and laptop. You will have to install the drivers and then connect the printer ..this will finish the printer software installation and you will be able to just click on printkey and print.

Itunes not working with other programs

I've been using Itunes for quite a while now, and never experienced a problem with it until now (with the release of itunes 7)...
When I run another program with Itunes (games like World Of Warcraft / Counterstrike / Warcraft III) itunes stops working right. The current music gets played really bad ( it plays more fast and with lots of bad noise).. With the previous Itunes versions I did not had this problem and I really hate it I got it now, cause I love listening to some music while gaming..
Can you help me?

I am also having this same problem with iTunes conflicting with World of Warcraft. It has not occurred before the release of iTunes 7 and I would really like a solution to this problem because I enjoy listening to my music while on my game and at this time it is highly annoying to hear all the skips and scratches in the playback.

8230 Pearl CDMA unlocked (Verizon) - Not working with other operators

I recently purchased a 8230 Pearl Flip CDMA unlocked (originally branded for Verizon) in US without any carrier activation. Later I bought that to India expecting to use with Indian mobile operator, TATA INDICOM.
The operator service center could not help me to set up the phone. The phone does not have a SIM card slot and needs to be programmed.
I request members to help me regarding below:
1) First find out if the device is really unlocked or not.
2) If unlocked, how to connect to Indian network operators.
3) If locked, what do I do to make this phone usable in India.

especially the steps of the seller on one side, and the steps of the buyer on the other side. Every step must be fulfilled even if you (obviously) are not the seller. Please tell us how it goes, I am interested because I have always found very strange the concept of mobile phone without a SIM card.

JoikuSpot Premium WiFi does not work with Safari

Hi,
My Nokia E-72 with JoikuSpot Premium WLAN Hotspot can connect to my iPad (OS 4.2.1)but I cant get on to internet with Safari or any app. Is it possible to set the iPad to "Computer–to-computer (ad-hoc) networks.?
Or what shall I do?

yes! something happen with wifi from ipod touch 2g, last week i restored it from itunes because i dont know why the wifi stopped working and then suddenly i couldnt find my wireless connection... but my laptop and other ones does... that problem happened once one month ago before i tried the update (it fix some errors somebody said ) but now the problems are usually more often, by just listening music while is horizontal and then trying to go vertical the music stops and goes to home (principal) and so with the internet... i bought my ipod in chicago in december 28 and now im in lima and im very dissapointed because when ipod touch 2g came out everything was fantastic, i have been using ipods since they came out to stores... and now i think that expending 265$ for this one was useless... im so bad
my connection to wifi has no answer, and now everyday i have an stop while listening music... im so so sad!
