Wifi doesn't work on OSX

Ok so I dualboot win 8 and mavericks on my 2012 macbook pro, but the wifi won't work on mavericks. I may be able to get one page to load but it would take 3 or 4 refreshes before the page actually loads. A video will load maybe 10 seconds and then stop loading until I refresh. If I boot into Windows my wifi works great. Any ideas what might be causing the issue?
It may be worth noting that this issue isn't specific to mavericks because I had this issue long before I upgraded to mavericks. I have tried chaning the DNS server but that didn't work.

You are still using Win 8?
Microsoft has already released the Win 8.1 system.
Its recommended to update the Win 8 to Win 8.1 since different bugs have been solved and new features have been added.
The Win 8.1 update is free and you could download the update files from Microsoft Store.
Please perform the update as recommended by Toshiba and update essential the driver and tools.
I guess after the update the WLan would work properly.

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

Also, turn off IPv6:

Since update extended wifi doesn't work

I updated my express extreme as required. Since my airport express that I use to extend my wifi doesn't work anymore. I did a reset and when I try to configuration it keeps telling me that an error has occurred and that I should try again.

I reset modem and router. Still have the same issue. I have a laptop connected to the network as well as a PS3. Both are working great. Did a Speedtest app test on iphone. With 3g it was working good. When i switched to wifi, it was trying to get the ping test accomplished, and could not. it was stuck in the ping test at 0% for a long time and never progress.

Κανε backup στο iTunes και μετά κάνε restore as new. Δηλαδή Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Content and Settings. Οταν τελειώσει θα έχουν σβηστεί όλα. Μην κανεις restore from backup. Δοκίμασε πρώτα νε δεις αν δουλεύει το wi-fi. Αν δεν δουλεύει πας στο service. Αν δουλεύει κάνε restore from backup. Αν το πρόβλημα ξαναεμφανιστεί τότε πρέπει να ξανακανεις restore as new και να το στησεις απο την αρχή. Αν δεν εμφανιστεί έχεις καθαρίσει. Μην ξεχάσεις να συγχρονίζεις επαφές και ημερολόγια πριν το restore.

M3800 Developer Edition: wifi doesn't work after sleep

I have an M3800 Developer Edition (2015 model). Ubuntu is factory-installed 14.04, with hardware enablement stack installed. Recently (past 1-2 weeks) wifi doesn't work after sleep (lid closed or open doesn't matter), and only rebooting gets in back. Tried rmmod and modprobe with no success. Has anyone else seen this, and/or are you aware of any open bug(s) for this?

Why the wifi doesn't work after the upgrade to iOS 5?

The problem is that after the upgrade to iOS 5 the wifi doesn't work. I mean, iPad is connected to the wifi but not to the internet and also the connection on the other device doesn't work. So I had to turn off the router and then turn it on.

Try a hard reset first to see if that does any good. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If no luck with that, you'll need to manually connect your iPod to your iTUnes library in recovery mode using the instructions in the Apple support document below. Doing so will allow you to bypass the passcode and restore the iPod.

The reason you're seeing this is that you have somehow gotten an outdated copy of Mail on your system. One possible reason is that you moved Mail out of the Applications folder (or into a sub-folder inside the Applications folder), in the process preventing it from being updated. You'll want to put Mail back directly in the Applications folder if this is the case. The other possibility is that you have somehow installed, restored or copied an old copy of Mail on your machine.
In either case, as long as Mail is in the right place, applying the combo updater will update Mail to the current version. Software Update cannot do that because Software Update sees that you are using the current version of the OS and believes there is no need to update, while the combo updater "forces" installation of all updated files.

WiFi doesn't work after repair

Today I received my iMac 27" back from repair. It had the screen and the optical drive replaced since both were defect.
According to the papers, nothing else has been replaced, but WiFi doesn't work now. I can't connect to my own network (Time Capsule), and only very few networks show up in the list -- quite often, mine is not there, and sometimes there are none at all. Checking with a laptop right next to the iMac, I can see plenty of networks (and my own network works fine).
Could the Apple guys accidentally have screwed up something? I thought about looking at the antenna connectors on the AirPort card (a guide is available on iFixIt), but it seems quite complicated (and I don't have the necessary screwdrivers).

When the authorized tech installed new memory modules in my 09 Mac mini, he shorted out my wireless card and they had to order a new one and install it. I would take it back and have them figure out what is wrong.

WIFI doesn't work on startup

When I turn on my dad's iMac (Mid July 2010, iMac) the WIFI doesn't work. When I click the WIFI icon on the menu bar is says somthing to the effect of you don't have WIFI installed. When I restart it works. this happens every time.
What do you think is wrong? do I need to take the iMac in to an Apple store?

First, my wlan card was unknown by w7 (unknown device and I had install all the others drviers). So, because I don't know what card was in the L630, I downloaded the Atheros and the Broadcom wlan drivers.
When I refresh in the device manager, I tell w7 to automatically find the driver (in drivers folder and in its subdirectory).
w7 find a Broadcom card, install the driver (with the error message : file not found without any name of file) and shows in the network section of the device manager a Broadcom 802.11n card, but didn't shows the model (I think its a 43xx). Thre isn't any other unknown device in the device manager, all seems right.
I also try to install it with the Grand Administrator account : same result !!!!!!!!!
I have try with the Atheros drivers (just in case) but w7 tells me that there isn't any drivers found for my card (so I think its a broadcom)
When I press Fn + F8 key nothing happens (the led of the wifi stay orange) and the hotkey bar doesn't drop down.
Thats why I wish to rinstall the hotkey utility, but It doesn't exist for other OS than XP....

I'm agree with you xver, install a fresh w7 64 bits then all the drivers shoud not be such problematic, I do this fort one Tecra A7 and One Aspire One 751, they works perfectly, but they where all of them under XP ......
Next step :
I must confirm (to my self too) if the F8 key work properly (by trying to start w7 into safe mode),
remove any trace of the common module and the hotkey utility from the registry,
remove the broadcom and atheros wlan driver and delette any trace in the registry,
go in a church and light a candle for miracle ?

My wifi doesn't work ( i cant surf) with data services off. and if i keep data services on that is if my blackberry services..and surf the webpages ..my balance gets decducted..but i have unlimited blackberry plan. and on the first place my balance shouldnt be deducted because i am using my wifi ( in case my page gets open through wifif not blackberry services) and if i am using my balckberry internet either way my balances shouldnt get decducted. i have torch 9800 and my service provider is VODAFONE INDIA please help me out cus i cant use my wifi..without bbm services..

Hi, I installed on my iphone IOS 7 but now wifi doesn't work. It doesn't find any wifi connections around me. Please help me! What can I do?

My wifi had no problem connecting to our home wifi prior to the IOS 7 update, but since updating this morning it's not working. My phone will try to connect to wifi, but then I get the "Unable to join the network" message. I tried resetting network settings, but that did not solve it. I tried @bam11's suggestion of being in airplane mode first, but still no luck. I've had my phone open to the Wi-Fi page, and saw it connect a couple times for the slightest second, but it disconnected just as fast. My son as the exact same phone (4s) and he's connecting just fine! Any other suggestions? I'm afraid to hard reset my phone.

Based on my knowledge, Outlook auto archieve setting is stored in registry and only affects on local host.
