Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.
If this did not work, and to rule out a software issue, setting it up as new device would be the next step:

If still no luck, this might be a hardware problem and the phone has to be checked by an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple:

Itunes Match not working on Iphone 4 after update to IOS 5.1

Itunes Match has never been an issue for me in the past. After I updated to IOS 5.1, I accessed my music app and noticed that Itunes Match was only showing artists that started with the letter "A" And "B". So I turned match off, turned it back on and now itunes match shows a picture of a cloud and a progress bar. the bar takes hours to move about half way, and then the app will just tell me that I don't have any music and I can dowloand music from itunes.
My wife is not having any issues with match on her iphone 4 and my ipad 2 running IOS 5.1 is also not having any issues.
I have tried signing in and out of the Itunes store, turning on and off Itunes match, doing a hard reboot of the phone, I have rest and deleted everything on my phone and restored from a icloud back up. I even tried to see if I could delete the music app data by going under settings/general/usage.....but the music app says it has "no data".
This is Very frustrating for me, and I can't figure out what i can do to make my phone load my music match library again. I thank you for any suggestions/help that you may have in advance!

Exactly the same ting has happened to me over te past few days with my ipad2... I too resorted to setting my ipad2 up as a new device again to get match working... There is definitely something screwy happening on 5.1 I think... It was fine till I updated

After updating my iPhone 4S to 6.0.1, the WiFi don't detect any WiFi and does not connect to any WiFi.
In the Wi fi setting it does not let me slid it to on.

Me, again. A couple of weeks ago (around Christmas) my wifi stopped working and the toggle switch greyed out again. I found a solution guide from Apple, followed all the steps (which ultimately included a complete factory reset). I was able to back up all my info before hand with iTunes. I ran my phone as a new device, and the problem was still there. The wifi wouldn't work at all and the toggle on/off switch was greyed out. Finally I gave up and tried Apple support. I chatted with a rep, told them everything I saw and tried, and within 10 minutes they determined that I needed my phone replaced (my phone was new in April 2012). All I had to do was go down to the store, tell the rep there exactly what I told the one on the phone, and within 15 minutes I had a brand new phone FREE. I brought it home, plugged it in, and restored all my info (including passwords, wallpaper, app settings, EVERYTHING!!) as if I never had a problem. My wifi has been impeccable on the new phone. I still haven't determined whether it was the 1 year warranty or the Apple Care replacement plan that covered it, but either way, totally worth the trouble.

It sounds like the Outlook app is not launching after you updated iOS. In this case, I recommend the troubleshooting steps found at this link:

My iPhone lost sync with numbers after updating to iOS 7. How do i fix?

I have an iPhone 5 (iOS 7.0.4) with an iMac running OSX 10.9.1. I have completed all updates to the Numbers app on my iPhone. I have had no problems with this in the past - files would sync flawlessly to iCloud, my Mac and my iPhone. Since updating to iOS7 i noticed the files are no longer syncing to my iPhone. Syncing between the Mac & iCloud are just fine.
On the iPhone, when i try to adjust the settings for the numbers app to use iCloud the toggle button keeps switching over to the off position. Is this a bug or do I have a setting wrong somewhere?

Receiver (ear speaker) not working on iPhone 5 after updating to iOS 7

Since upgrading to iOS 7 (or 7.0.2) the receiver on my iPhone seems to have stopped working.
I don't make / receive many voice calls - so not sure exactly when problem started.
Every call I have received in the last 2 days has been silent, where the person calling me can hear my voice, but I cannot hear them.
Also there is no sound when I make a call.
Prior to this most recent calls have been silent at first, with the sound only kicking in after 5-10 seconds.
I can turn speakerphone on - which works.
I have performed the folowing to try to fix the problem:
1) Restarted phone
2) Reset all settings
3) Restored from backup
I've checked mute switch, tried volume buttons and ensured airplay is set to iPhone.
I managed to make the receiver work again by wiping all settings and content, then setting up as a new phone.
However I do not want to lose all the content, settings, app data saved on my phone, so this is not really an option.

If you are facing the problem described by the subject, my solution is resetting the Network by tapping Settings>General>Reset>Reset Networking Settings.
Warning: by doing above you will lose all your Wifi information, i.e. the phone will lose all its login data of all Wifi hotspots it associated to previously.

Smichy I think you're getting the guest account mixed up with the new Guest user.
If you really want to disable it.... here you go:
Open System Preferences
Click on “Security & Privacy
Click the lock in the lower corner and type in your administrative password to unlock the control panel
Check the box next to “Disable restarting to Safari when screen is locked”
But I really suggest you don't, since it's for your own good. Why lose features like Find my Mac, etc?

Yes I have an exchange email account set up on my ipad. Before update, I could turn exchange email off and then change autolock to never. Now, even with exchange turned off, only 2 minutes or 5 minutes options appear.

Did you do the Reset Network Settings as I described above?
There is no way to go back. You can try reseating your nanoSIM or replacing it. Or call your cell provider and have them check the provisioning on your phone.
Or Restore your iPhone from your backup in iTunes.

I have this problem too - and it is on a BRAND new iPhone 6 - I have definitively tracked the issue to the moment I upgraded to iOS 8.1.2 - and am beyond frustrated. The iPhone is not JailBroken. what I did is, on Thursday i:e 20th Sept. opened itunes and Restored (Restore + Alt ) By selecting the 5.1.1 firmware file from Itunes LIbrary.

We've an article that provides the following troubleshooting steps that may help stabilize your iPhone.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:

iPhone 4 after updating to iOS 5.0.1 I can no longer send emails. I get a message saying the recipients "email address" was rejected by the server. Incoming still works fine.

SMS is a carrier feature, what did your phone carrier say when you contacted them about your issue?
Double check you have MMS turn on in message settings.
