Hi I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy tab through Verizon and downloaded Skype on it. I only have a 2g monthly data plan and was wondering how if any I can purchase wifi or something to use with it. Thanks Missy

I believe the wifi only version will be available through Best Buy. I think it was delayed through. Maybe by late November or early December?
BTW I would suggest you remove your phone number from your device description. Everyone can see it.

Longtime Flex/AIR developer here, but first time developing for Android.
Want to build for Samsung Galaxy Tab. In Flash Builder Burrito, when creating a Run Configuration, there's a list of devices to target. But the Galaxy Tab isn't one of them. Which one should I use? Or do I just create one and enter the right dimensions etc? Is there any information associated with those device configurations besides the pixel dimensions and pixels per inch?

Try the nearest match in terms of resolution. Also if you design your controls with relative size (%age based or relative to a fixed initial size), it shouldn't be a problem on device. I have bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab (10.1-Inch WIFI ONLY) from walmart.
Can i take this device to Verizon and purchase an cellular connection so i can get internet anywhere?

I am guessing no. You have already stated it is a WiFi only model, otherwise it would be labeled as 3G or 4G/LTE capable.
One thing you could do is use your smartphone's (if you have one) hotspot capability (assuming it has this) to access the internet on your new Tab.

N8 as hotspot for samsung galaxy tab 10.1

I'm looking for an app that makes my nokia n8 a hotspot for my Samsung galaxy 10.1 tab to have wifi. I bought joikuspot premium but find out it does not work with androids ... Is there another app in the ovi store that can be used to connect to androids?

Apparently this time the problem is not with JoikuSpot but with Android. You will find that hot-spot created by JoikuSpot is detected by all other devices except for Androids, it turns out that Androids don't connect to Ad-hoc networks.
Theres a way around by modifying a file on your Android device where by it will be able to detect Ad-hoc networks with a limitation of only Un-secured networks.
So again since you have JoikuSpot premium you will have to broadcast in only un-secured format.
Search on net for procedure of modifying the file.
Using Nokia Lumia 1320.
Also have Nokia E72 & Nokia N8.

I got a Galaxy Tab 10.1 as a gift, with receipt, never opened. Can I exchange with an iPad 2 at the store without having the original buyer get a refund on their credit card? The original buyer is a company, and I got it as a prize, sent directly from BestBuy, with receipt.

Considering some of the problems that people have had in trading in their qualifying working tablets not in Best Buy's trade-in system for a minimum $50 Best Buy Gift Card during the ending Surface 3 promotion... would it be possible for Admin BBY to post a new sticky message for the new promo starting today for trading in any non Nook/ereader tablet without screen/water damage that turns on for a $50 gift card and coupon for $50 off the Samsung Galaxy Tab S? It would be valuable to know if any of the terms of the trade-in have changed, and to head off questions about the inability to use more than one coupon per tablet purchase before you are inundated with complaints..

It’s definitely concerning when customers are experiencing disappointments with one of our promotions and I can certainly understand your desire to see something posted on our community to help head off any future issues.
The stores are provided with all the information that they need to process these promotions correctly and hopefully, we have also learned from any past mistakes as well when putting them together. Right now, you can find all the details of the Samsung Tab 3 trade-in promotion here. From what I can see, it seems to cover all the details of the promotion very well, including stating that only one coupon can be used per transaction.
Otherwise, as far as I can tell, the promotion is identical to the Surface 3 promotion, with the caveat that the trade-in must be used towards the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy Tab S.

Unable to use FiOS Mobile Remote App on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

I'm one of the holdout Blackberry customers who Verizon doesn't recognize as wanting apps anymore. I finally broke down and bought an Android tablet device when I saw the FiOS Mobile Remote App and recognized it as an easy solution for controling my multiple HD STBs in my "Man Cave". Unfortunately, the app has been completely useless.
The app loads fine. I'm able to register each HD STB with the app, however doing anything more than the initial set-up for the remote function results in a crash. Every time I attempt to use it, I get the message "Unfortunately, FiOS Remote has stopped." I will occassionally see the attempted connection displayed on the corner of my TV screen.
All other functions of the app work, including the DVR function.
I've reported this failure for months, using the handy little report button below the crash message. No response.
I've commented on this topic in threads from other users with the same problem. No response.
I've posted to the comments section of the Google Play store. No response.
Please, would someone from Verizon acknowledge this problem exists? My best theory so far is that my tablet device is not on a Verizon data plan (WiFi only), so therefore Verizon isn't interested in supporting it (or this loyal customer).
Device is Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, 7.0, running Android 4.0.4. All FiOs STBs replaced with latest generation.

I am sorry to hear about the troubles you are having with the app. We try to make the app as compatible with all devices as possible. The full list of devices the mobile remote is compatible with is https://www22.verizon.com/OnDemand/unprotected/AboutFlexView.aspx . You may find there may be devices that do work with it that re not on the list, but these are all verified working devices with the app. Since yours doesn't appear to be on the list, we can not gaurantee it will work. Submitting all the feedback has gotten word back to Verizon about the troubles you are having. You can also submit this to the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote. There may be another member who made the same suggestion. I'm unable to install photoshop touch in my samsung galaxy tab 10.1. its says this device is not compatable with any of your devices. but i saw this s/w is tested in galaxy 10.1 tab.. how its happen any ideas??

@jens Nandi there is no choice to say unfortunate...
i just fixed this issue...
what i did is
create a new google account as united state as country
reset the device to factory setup
insert a sim from my home country(India)
enable data roaming(it will not charge)
use wifi to connect to device
login to android market with the us google account
and purchased
switch back to my orginal account
now happly using it also i unlocked the some additional s/w that blocked here like google voice, winamp etc
