  • LED Light Going Off Every Few Minutes

My LED notificiation light is going off every few minutes.  I have no new emails, I have no new texts, no new notifications.  i have turned off my phone, I have taken out the battery and put it back in.  I have changed my notification settings.  I don't know what to do next.  Help please!  I have a Blackberry Pearl Flip Phone.

    Hi,
Check and see if you have a program that has an update in Blackberry App World.  That might be it.  Also, check and see, your device might have a software update under wireless update.  It could be one of those two places.

  • IOS 6.1.1 wifi gets dissconnected every few minutes

I updated my 4s yesterday with the new IOS and now, my wifi is getting dissconnected every few minutes. The most frustrating thing is that I have to enter the password of my home wifi everytime it gets dissconnected.

Yes I'm having the same issue since the latest iOS update. My wifi reception has dropped substantially - 2 or even 1 "bars" in places in the home where it was full reception. It drops out repeatedly, stopping podcast downloads.
I have both a router and a range extender and the problem exists with both of them. It also exists if I try to connect to public wifi - completely unusable...
But also, I use bluetooth headphone a lot, and the reception for them has plummeted to the point where continually drop out even when the phone is in my shirt pocket - i.e. just 30cm from the headphones. Before the update, the reception was halfway through the house!.
I know it wasn't the headphones causing this because I thought so and took them back for exchange under warranty, and the new ones are exactly the same.
So both wireless reception and bluetooth transmission strength have gone down the toilet following this iOS update.
Is Apple doing anything about this? It seems the communities are full of similar complaints...

  • IPhone constantly turns its self off every few minutes

My mother came to me with her iPhone, and told me about this problem she has been having, and this is the best way I can think of to state it.
Her phone turns its self off every few minutes. It never does it while she is using it. It's only when she puts it in her pocket for a little while and then pulls it back out to use it again. It also will not turn on by doing the normal way of holding the ON button for two seconds. It will only turn on when you reset it by holding the On and Home buttons at the same time, and it seems to take much longer than it does on my 3G. It sometimes will only turn on by connecting it to the charger, because the reset method isn't working. She claims it has not had low battery while doing this, because she keeps it charged. I have observed myself to make sure, and the phone is almost 100% charged the last few times it has done this.
    Any suggestions out there?

Since a doing a reset has not resolved the problem, the next step is restoring the iPhone with iTunes from the backup. If no change after restoring from the backup, restore as a new iPhone or not from the backup.
If no change after either restore method, time to give AppleCare a call at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

I think you can't. But you can download an application to free up to 5MB, including all images/videos/ringtones that come preloaded with your Blackberry. I don't know it the application allows you to select what you want to keep.

There is a problem on Windows 8 with Firefox 19 and AMD Radeon HD 6XXX/7XXX graphic display cards.
This issue is currently being investigated in bug 830531.
*Bug 830531 - [Win8] crash in XPC_WN_Helper_NewResolve mainly with AMD Radeon HD 6290/6310/6320/7290/7310/7340
If you have one of those display cards then best is to stay with or downgrade to Firefox 18.0.2 for now.

  • Macbook pro ( 13" mid 2009 ) keeps freezing every few minutes since downloading mavericks

Ever since downloading osx Mavericks , my mac book keeps on crashing every few minutes. Doesn't matter what application I am using, system hangs every few minutes. I have been looking at Activity monitor closely. Following programs end up using a lot of CPU and hang a lot:
SystemUIServer ( not responding -- several times )
Google Chrome ( not responding -- several times )
Google Chrome Helper ( not responding -- several times )
PepperFlashPlayer ( not responding -- several times )
Windows Server ( not crashing -- but using a lot of CPU resources - remains at top 5 CPU usage tasks. )
Looking at Console app .. following programs cause a lot of crashes: ( Console itself was not responding several times I was looking at it )
    systemstatsd
    GoogleChromeHelper
I also ran EtreCheck program .. here is the output:

    ChmodBPF - Path: /Library/StartupItems/ChmodBPF
StartupItems can slow your Mac down.
Go to HD > Library > StartuItems
    Remove this:  ChmodBPF
    Restart your Mac.
If it's still slow, open System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login items
Remove Google Drive.  (iTunes Helper should not be a problem)
    Restart your Mac.

  • Screen shots off every few minutes after upgrade to 10.6.3

After upgrading to 10.6.3 my screen shots off every few (ca. 5) minutes when I hit either the mouse button or any key. The screen comes back by itself after about 2 minutes, the rest of the iMac continues to work (print jobs finalize, keybaord entries are recognized etc.).
Is this a known problem of 10.6.3 or is it just coincidence and simple a HW problem?

Try giving more details...was it any specific key; did you click the mouse in any place in particular? Was the mouse cursor in a corner of the screen (Hot Corners)?
You can try a Hardware Test to see if it actually is hardware-related. But if you've not seen it before, that's unlikely.
If you can't fix it, you can try to re-install 10.6.3 from the Combo update.

  • IPhone 3G turns off every few minutes with new OS

    Greetings all,
Apologies for not introducing myself in advance but I just want to get this issue fixed. I upgraded my iPhone to OS 4 and now the main issue is that when it is not plugged in it will just turn off after a few minutes of being idle. If I actually use it (i.e. keep the screen on) it won't turn off - its only a minute or two after the screen turns off that the iPhone actually turns off. I suspect this is a crash because I have to hold down the Power Button and Home Button in order to get it working again.
However, if its plugged in it won't turn off! How useful! I've read over some topics (and still am reading them, thanks for all the help) but I'm not getting anywhere. I've deleted the ipsw file and re-downloaded it to no avail and am considering trying a new user account on Windows 7.
Are other people having this issue? I was going to upgrade to the newest iPhone and give this to my little sister, but I don't think I'll upgrade now. She's rather upset about this.
    Thanks,
    Discopanda.

Make a backup, if possible.  Restore it as new, if possible.  If issue persists, or you are unable to do either of those previous steps, consult Apple.

  • Touchscreen goes haywire every few minutes on Model 15-n071nr

it seems to be happenin more and more often. When I use my laptop the toucscreen becomes unresponsive or does things as if someone is touchhing it however i never actually use the toucscreen, only the mouse and keybpoard.
There will be rather lare quarter sized dots going vertically along the same spot to the right of the midline of the screen as if someone is touchin it there. I have to close te lid then it all works fine again when I open, but lately it starts going haywire aain witin a few minutes. Sometimes it does seem to do thhis wen I touch the OUTER edge of the laptop (not the screen) to adjust the angle of the lid/cover. I am pretty sure the laptop is not more than a year old. But it may be I bought it a little over a year ago....Dont know if I still have the reciept but I might.....
And my other HP laptop the G and H key work intermittently. In some apps tey work fine in and in oters they dont, like right now. Wats odd is if I type anoter letter, ten back space over it, then I can type a G or H fine no trouble. Very odd
I used to love HP but I have A:LOT of trouble with thier laptops over the last few years. I wont buy another one.

    Hello @tiffcady,
I understand that the TouchScreen feature of your notebook computer is not working as it should, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To correct the functions of the TouchScreen, I recommend following this document on Troubleshooting Touch Screen Issues in Windows 8. This should help to return your TouchScreen configuration back to default settings.

  • My ipad goes blank every few minutes

Does this happen to you? Have you fixed it? My iPad one with original iOS goes off, intermittently, in all programs. Just decides it does not want to operate. I have done hard shut downs etc but doesnt seem to hold. horrible when playing game, reading book or watching shows

The iPad iOS is supposed to handle the app memory issues on it's own and there is supposed to be no need to shut down apps in the task bar. Most apps really are not running anyway, they just appear in that task bar as "recently used" apps for easy or fast switching back and forth. The new iOS 5 has multi-touch gestures built in that supplants the need for the home button task bar in many ways since it allows you to swipe from app to app. If you have the iPad 1 like I do, that feature was not included for us "lower life forms" - only the iPad 2 can take advantage of the feature.
It seems like you may need to restore your iPad or you need to try deleting some apps. Sometimes the iPad will crash due to corrupt app data and if you delete the app you remove the data as well. It is sort of a trial and error thing. Select an app that has a lot of data - maybe a newspaper or magazine app - or a game app - many of those can contain alot of data that may get corrupt over time - and try removing one or some of those. You can always resync the app or download it again for free. If you delete apps, backup the iPad first. If it turns out that you can't find an app with issues and you want to retrieve it - you will want to restore the app data as well.

    powerpc g5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Peter,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
I presume that you have no events set with alarms. In the Day/Week view, look for an event with the alarm symbol in the title bar and delete it. Understanding symbols in iCal Help will show you this symbol.
If you are not using iCal, you can also open iCal>Preferences...>Advanced>(Check) Turn off alarms when iCal is not open.
If you are using iCal, try File>Back up Database and File>Revert to Database Backup.
After you have a backup, you could also Export.../Delete/Import... individual calendars.
