WiFi hacked...how can I report it?

I have one of the old white BT Home Hub's that came with WEP encryption as standard. About a month ago I was having all sorts of speed issues and further investigations revealed there were several devices listed as being connected wireless that certainly did not belong to me, some of which were live. I immediately deleted them from the devices page, however it looks like half the neighbourhood have been using my broadband without my knowledge and I'm really worried about what they might have been using it for. They could have been on there for years! This has really wrecked my peace of mind. Somebody at work had a spare black BT Home Hub that they thought might be more secure and I have just had a security expert (a well qualified chap I work with) round and he has locked it down to WPA2 for just my devices. He suggested that I should safeguard myself by reporting the breach in security to BT but I can't find a phone number to call. Is there some way of reporting this sort of thing and is there anything BTcan do now that a month has eleapsed since I discovered my WiFi had been hacked?

Hi. Welcome to the forums.
Are you sure that your wifi has actually been hacked, and not as indicated by other replies that people may have been using your connection via BTFon ?
Although WEP is fairly trivial to bypass, it would still be very unlikely typical neighbours were hacking into the hub.
Has the speed issue gone away since getting a different hub ? You can use WPA2 with the white hub, which just needed a settings change in the hub. If you didn't use wireless yourself, you can turn that off altogether.
Frankly you've assumed that your hub has been hacked, which I would suggest was unlikely generally.
Speed issues can be due to anything, BTFon isn't one of them.

    You aren't being hacked. Your wireless network is probably misconfigured and/or hacked. Turn on WPA security and then reboot it.

    You don't download anything at all. The feature is built into the iPhone 4 already. Your carrier has to support the feature and there might be an extra charge to use it.

    FCP, and all software on OSX, has a few different "preference" files (the extension is .plist), which store all your user settings. Each time you resize a window, change a setting, anything, this file is re-written. Kinda easy to see how they would become corrupt every now and then.
    -Close FCP
    -Navigate to User>Library>Preferences and delete com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist
    -Navigate to User>Library>Preferences>Final Cut Pro User Data and delete Final Cut Pro 5.0 Prefs
    -Empty your trash
    Relaunch FCP and see if that worked.
    Download FCP Rescue to make this process easier in the future. When you have FCP running really smooth, open FCP Rescue and create a backup of your preference files. If it starts acting wanky, just run FCP Rescue and Restore your backup preferences. Works really slick, and it's free.
    EDIT: Or use the really simple explaination that X posted as I was typing.

  • How can I report people that are harassing me on my question?

    I posted a question on how to fix a problem that I had with my iPhone. When a person posted me talked about dealing with an employer to solve the problem. No it don't matter how I read it I asked why did they assume that without asking me if I even had a job that the phone was used for. After that the harassment started as if they were defending their friend and I was cruel to them. I did get an answer to my problem but the harassment keep going on and on and on even one wrote that because of that one question I shouldn't be able to post anymore questions when I would need it.
    How can I report this to someone? Who else have these people harassed? Would these people be addressed that they shouldn't be behaving like this?

    Sorry, but the poster before Bee, and Bee herself did not write anything that could be construed as harassment. If those posts deeply hurt you (as well as the original post that set you off) then I would strongly suggest that the Internet is NOT a place you should spend any time as your feelings are going to constantly get hurt. In fact, I'd suggest avoiding all contact with other people as much as possible if KiltedTim hurt you with his post.
    As has been repeatedly explained, he merely asked because that is another avenue that could cause the Camera app to be removed, and he went on to explain how this happens. There is nothing personal in it, we don't care how you got your phone, where you work, what type of job you have, etc. He did care enough to join in and give another possibility as to why your camera icon was missing. If you do a search of these threads you will find that more than a few people have decided to put their work account on their personal iPhone and the profile installed on their iPhone by personnel at their workplace changes features on the iPhone.
    Again, if this, and the answers here, deeply hurt you, pull the cable from the Internet immediately.

Is there any way also to add my pictures to the ipad other than through email. i am assuming that i can't just install itunes on the laptop and sync to that. I have been told that i always have to sync to my original synced home computer for that.

Like atm, i have 1 village on my iphone 5, and im thinking of making a new village on my ipad, but when i installed the game on my ipad, i forgot to log out of the gc, and it continually loading my iphone 5 village on my ipad. I have tried log out, delete, reinstall, etc. one should not have that much trouble trying to get a new village on a new device. Now i have two device logging each other off because of this issue, and still can't get it to give me new village.
    This is bad if i log on my friend's phone to check my village, and she can't create a new game because she is stuck with my village, and i can not play mine if she open the app. This is really stupid coding. Not only these two issuse, the company constantly producing new updates, and pay no attention whatsoever on quality assurance. And i'm fed up with it, as they are continually violating apple rules.

    Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears? If that doesn't work, try resetting the network settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.
    If that fails, you may possibly have damaged the SIM. Verizon will need to give you a new one.

    you can use the CR Designer and build CR reports that access your R/3 system. Another option is to use the R/3 connector for the Data Federator which is available in the Innovation Center. Still this connector is not a product rather can be used on your own risk.

    PS: Accessing directly the tables of the underlying database(e.g oracle)  using universes and Web Intelligence is not recommended. You will not be able to decode all contents of the database tables you are accessing since in some cases R/3 encodes the data before storing them in the actual database tables.
