WIFI hardware wont allow me to connect to webpages
I am getting an error within my Chrome browser that says, "this webpage is not available". This error only occurs when I try to use the wifi mode. Everything is fine when I plug in the RJ45 cable/ethernet cable directly to my notebook.
The wifi button/F12 seems to operate properly. The orange and white led turn on and off to indicate it's state.
I should mention that I recently removed the WLAN module and then replaced it after a 90 minute removal and replacement of my HD with that of a new Seagate 1TB SSHD (solid state hybrid drive).
The notebook operates a lot faster now, expecially my adobe softwares like Premiere CC and Photoshop CC. However I can't do anything wirelessly with the internet now!

The wireless adapter appears to be fine with drivers properly installed. Can you identify the unknown device? Right click on it and select properties/details/hardware ID and post the chain of characters you see. Please describe your network setup where you are trying to connect wirelessly.

Hi,
I am new to this forum and very mobile phone unaware...... So any help really appreciated. I have a Nokia 5800 which has worked fine for last few weeks, but now twice has given me problems in that whenever I try to dial any number it says connection error- and disconnected. I get the tone as if I have dialled a non existent number. Can anybody help? Everything else is working fine, i.e messaging internet etc. I can receive calls. When I ring home with my mobile, the home phone next to me does flash but does not ring, so something is getting through. Totally confused. I am with Vodaphone.

Go to Solution."Connection Error" on dual mode is related to telecommunications company u have subscribed, I happens to me when the BTS - base transmit receiver fails to reach ure fone in 3G mode, in this situation u need to manually switch the phone into GSM mode 100% to make an outgoing call.
This is not related to the device or Nokia
Call our service provider to improve the 3G signals .. hahahaha

IPhone 4 wifi sync wont connect
I plug my iPhone 4 into a power supply and have my iTunes open and it wont allow me to sync over my wifi. I am using Windows 7 btw.
I have a very related but different problem, and it's absolutely driving me NUTS... Let me try and explain my situation, and maybe someone can help?
I just recently got a 2012 SEL Ford Fusion with V6 and the touch-screen navigation system.
MyFordTouch hasn't made it's way to the Fusion... but this option seems pretty nice (and various things like heated seats, I can even get to more quickly since I have physical buttons for those)
I also have an iPhone 4S, and one of the things I was looking forward to the most in getting this new Fusion (my previous car was a Pontiac GrandAm which I loved... but it was 14yrs old and had 197,000mi! I was also sick and tired of needing to tune/re-tune my FM transmitter to get the iPhone audio through my stereo system!!!) was using sync with BT audio to have my music stream WIRELESSLY to the awesome SONY stereo that my Fusion has...it's very nice.
So, what's the problem that's driving me nuts???
Well, when I get in my car... For some reason the stereo defaults to User Device LINE IN, even though I've never connected anything to LINE IN, and always turn off the car with having had audio streaming from iPhone 4S using the BT audio connection... Of course, starting in LINE IN mode causes me to have to hit that button once EVERY SINGLE TIME so that it toggles to BTST!
I've tried to find some option or setting to change the default user input device to BTST (Bluetooth stereo) rather than LINE IN... I just can't seem to do it. If anyone knows how I could possible configure it so that when I start my car the stereo turns on in USER DEVICE with BTST option... I'd love to know, having to click the LINE IN button once EVERY SINGLE TIME so it will then toggle to the desired BTST is getting a little old :( -
When i connect my iPhone to iTunes, it says i have to set up my iPhone, and wont allow me to sync any media i have already purchased on it. My phone is not new, so I dont understand? This all came about when i updated the iOS 6 software. I have tried to re-set up my phone but it makes no difference and deletes everything off my phone.

I'm not sure that recovery mode works when you have to trust the computer, but did you try it?
If you can't update or restore your iOS device - Apple Support
If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone. -
My itouch will not allow me to connect to my wifi. It doesn't even let me get onto my wifi settings. The button is unhighlighted as well therefore it won't even let me fix it or choose a wifi network-any network!!!!!! So i can't access NOTHING!!!! Our other new itouch's work fine (im using one right now lol lol) so it isnt my wifi/router.... My itouch is old lol, I've had it for 4 or 5 years and it's cracked up etc...lol lol. But it still works great, however, it was out of commission for the past 5 months cuz my computer was not working to sync it and it wanted me to "connect to itunes" and i couldnt at the time...(plug it in to sync).... And now my computer and iTunes are working and the itunes software is updated as well. So i have synced my itouch and said itouch is working and restored however it will not allow me to access my wifi settings. The button is unaccessable and unhighlighted as i have stated above already and am in the process of syncing and restoring said itouch again!!! Which should take another full day or two lol lol omg!!!

My ipod touch ios version 6.1.3 will not allow me to connect to my wifi. I tried rebooting my wifi router, refreshing my ipod, resseting the networks and manually logging into my wifi. Sometimes it will go through for a brief moment, but the wifi connection will ultimately disconnect. Each time i try to connect to my wifi afterwards a small pop up will say "Unable to join the network". Please help. it's really annoying and frustrating.

I've restored my ipod both to a backup and back to factory. I know the password is correct,
the router is the newest version (and it's plugged in and on), my ipod is updated, i've turned my wifi settings on and off, i've turned the ipod off and on. No luck yet. I've been working on it for hours now. About ready to sleep on it...maybe some luck will find me tomorrow...

i sometimes work where there is no 3G and wifi is not allowed is there a way to connect my ipad3 through my laptop
please help...If you don't have 3G or wi-fi how do you connect to the internet?

I believe you will want to restore this iPod in order to resolve this issue, but there are some other troubleshooting steps you can try before that as well. Those steps can be found in this website:

Specifically, this is the section that refers to your issue:
Will not turn on or screen remains dark
Connect iPod to power for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has enough charge to allow iPod to turn on.
If iPod does not turn on after ten minutes, try resetting the device while it is still connected to power. Reset the iPod by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and the Volume Down button for at least eight seconds or until you see the Apple logo appear.
If the Apple logo appears on the display, connect iPod to a computer and verify that it appears in iTunes and can play music. If iPod appears in iTunes and can play music, no further troubleshooting is needed.
If the screen remains dark and will not turn on, then your iPod may need service.
