Wifi Help, Please help :(

Question

I have trouble connecting onto my ipods wifi at home.
It sometimes says i am connected but when i go onto the safari it says
"cannot connect to server"
I know i have the right password for the wifi network
And I know I have wifi in my house because i use a laptop.
When i go to wifi hotspots it works.
But why not at home?
Please help!

Hi!
Check the setting for the network, sometimes it looks like its connected, but all of the network information is not present.
When the touch searches for networks to connect to and if yours shows up (blue check mark = Already connected to this network), select it
2. If the ip address , subnet mask, router and dsn information are all filled in, select Static instead of DHCP.
3. Tap wi-fi Networks to return to previous screen.
4. the Choose a network activity spiral will twirl and you should be connected.
5. 2. If the ip address , subnet mask are filled in, but router and dsn information are blank, this is the problem.
6. Select forget this network and re-enter the network information from scratch and repeat step 2-4 to verify connection.
