Wifi issue post update of 8.3

i noticed that since I upgtaded to 8.3 my phone 6 very erratically disconnect or doesn't recognise Wifi.
Though my other equipments like Laptop, BB works absolutely fine. I twice restored my phone too.

I have the same issue as well since I got my new iPhone6 last week. activated iPhone6 and updated iOS to 8.3. Does anyone have solution on this? or should I go to Apple tech support?
I checked my home wifi, it's ok,because i have another iOS devices connected and no such wifi issue.

  • MBP WiFi issue after updating to 10.8.5

I have a Macbook Pro late 2011 and used OS X 10.8.4. Last week installed Windows 7 with latest BootCamp. everythings was fine! Then I updated my Mac to newer version (10.8.5).
Now WiFi just works on Windows and Mac does not find any WiFi networks.
    My WiFi security is WPA2.
Any one know how do I solve this issue?
    Regards,

Back up all data, then reinstall the OS. You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it.

  • Ios 8.x wifi issue after update

I have been having intermittent wifi connectivity issues with my apple devices since upgrading to ios 8.x. I've subsequently updated to most recent version 8.0.2 but alas still having the issues of intermittent wifi connectivity issues (wifi works then drops without reason).
    The baseline critical information is:
-Cable modem with direct internet connectivity of 20Mbps down and 2Mbps up.
-Home netgear WNDR3700v3 running latest version of firmware V1.0.0.38_1.0.31.
-Apple 5s, 5c, 5 and iPad min, iPad 2 - iphones running latest issue of IOS but ipads intentionally left back to prior versions for purpose of testing.
-Forced DNS servers to google servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
-Security perimeter policies in place prevent external unwarranted proxy attacks, pin hole attacks, etc. No outbound (internal to external) flows are restricted and only established flows (external to internal) are permitted.
    Problem statement:
-Wifi will drop on all iphones using current version of ios causing devices to fall back to LTE or 3g.
-Reboot of netgear required to reset wireless settings for internal device usage.
-Cable modem never loses connection to internet and plugging direct into cable modem shows continued network connectivity.
-These issues never were experienced prior to updating to IOS 8.x
    Question:
It would appear there is a wifi ios issue. Does anyone have any suggestions ? There are no firmware updates available for netgear given its age (2 years old).
I would prefer to not downgrade ios devices if applicable.

    Worth taking a look here:
Why does iOS 8.0.2 not resolve the issue of WiFi connectivity with iOS 8 and the new iPhone 6?

  • WiFi issues since updating to Mavericks

Having recently bought my MacBook Air, it came with Mountain Lion as the preinstalled OS. I decided to update to Mavericks last night, and installed from the Mac App Store. The install was obviously simple, but it has thrown up an issue that I did not anticipate.
I am able to access WiFi at all times, but only an active internet connection whilst in the Recovery mode. Whilst running Mountain Lion I had no issues, and my router settings have not changed in this time. I have done one reinstall of Mavericks whilst in Recovery mode to see if that would fix the issue, but still no joy.
Not exactly the experience I had hoped for, and at the moment I am almost ready to throw in the towel. I know this issue is not with my router or network config. It is the MacBook Air, AirPort is an extremely poor way to connect to a wireless network as far as I am concerned.
Any help is much appreciated. I was thinking that maybe a complete shutdown might fix this issue; so I will try that now and see if a full system reboot will jog the MacBook into connecting to the web, rather than stalling on the WiFi network and going no further.

  • IMac 27" wifi issue after update to OS X 10.7.4

    Hi all,
i can't access to wifi after update to OS X 10.7.4.
Anybody has remedy to this problem?
Is this software or hardware related problem?
Hope to get a reply soon.
    Thanks.

Hi Thomas, this has worked for a few...
Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712
    10.7…
System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
    10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    Click OK.
    Also, turn off IPv6:
    System Preferences » Network » AirPort » TCP/IP tab » Configure IPv6
    Or whatever Interface you use.

  • Wifi issues after update to ios4

    Hi all,
Since updating to os4, I've been having problems with the wifi on my iphone.
If will connect to my home network fine, but it refuses to use the wifi connection. Checking everything in settings, it all seems fine, it says connected with good strength etc.
But it just doesnt use wifi.
Oddly, the only time the wifi symbol comes up, is in call, which im finding a bit odd. But as soon as I end the call, the wifi symbol disapears and goes back to gprs.
I've rebooted the phone several times, got it to forget wireless networks and set it all up again, reset the network setting, and recently restored and update to os 4.0.2 with no luck.
    Anyone got any ideas?

Any problems connecting to any other wi-fi network?
If the same with any other wi-fi network and no change after resetting network settings on your iPhone and after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, more than likely your iPhone has a hardware problem.
You can contact AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

  • Wifi issue latest updates

After the update to Nokia Belle, my 3G and/or Wifi connection doesn’t work anymore. I get the error message: "Connection failed. Access denied". What should I do?
After the update to Nokia Belle you have to re-enter Wifi settings (network, security type, password, etc) or define your network as a new access point. There are also some problems where certain apps, for example "SPB Wireless monitor", are preventing your phone from accessing 3G and/or Wifi. To check this and solve your problem please do the following:
Check Nokia Store via www.nokia.com/store > "My stuff" if you have previously downloaded SPB Wireless monitor to your phone
If yes, please close Nokia Suite via File > Exit
Connect your phone to computer with a USB cable in mass storage mode (you can set this in the Notification bar via USB > mass storage)
Open Windows Explorer on your computer, go to [phone drive letter]:\Private and rename or delete these folders: 20042D1D and 101f7989
Close Windows Explorer, and unplug the USB cable after using the "safely remove hardware and reject media" function
    Reboot your phone
Configure your wireless network, ie. enter accesspoints and passwords, or try to connect using your mobile data plan.
If you want to reinstall SPB Wireless monitor, go to Nokia store to redownload itAfter the update to Nokia Belle, there are problems with Wifi connection using LEAP authentication. The phone already tries to connect before I have time to fully enter the username/password. What should I do?
To solve this timeout problem, please edit the Wifi internet access point. You can find it via  via Menu>Settings>Connectivity>Settings>Network destinations. It will be under one of the destinations, most likely in Internet destinations. Then edit the access point via Internet access point > WLAN security settings > EAP Plugin Settings >  Eap-LEAP and set "Username" and "Password". Make also sure to set "Prompt password" to "No".
After the update to Nokia Belle, I cannot anymore connect to Internet with my phone.  I get the error message: “Connection failed. Access denied". What should I do?
The apps "SPB Wireless Monitor Lite" and "SPB Wireless Monitor" may be preventing your phone from accessing the internet, if they have been downloaded to your phone before the Nokia Belle update. If possible, please uninstall these apps before updating to Nokia Belle. If you are experiencing data connection problems after the Nokia Belle update, then please check if you had downloaded either of these apps earlier on your phone by browsing via your PC to Nokia Store: www.nokia.com/store  > "My stuff".  If you can see either of these apps, then please first try fix the problem by redownloading these apps on your phone:
Connect your phone with a USB cable to PC and ensure that you have Nokia Suite running
In Nokia Store, select the name of these apps under "My stuff" and then select "Download" > "Download on PC"
After the apps have been redownloaded, please reboot your phone and verify that you are able to browse the internet on your phone for example by opening www.nokia.com in your phone’s browser
If you still get the same error message or if you not able to re-install these apps from Nokia Store for some reason, only then follow the remaining steps to manually disable these apps
Close Nokia Suite via File > Exit

  • IPad / iPhoto sync issue post update

Applied update last night when prompted by iTunes. Went without a hitch until first sync. I get an error (will have to look again to get exact details, something cannot be found or a similar error).
Dismissed dialog and all seemed fine until I noticed no pics had transferred.
Tried a restore and same issue. I CAN sync a folder of images to it, just not via iPhoto.
Running Snow Leopard and latest iLife, all patched up to date.
    Ideas?

I have the same problems with syncing iphotos to iPod Touch and the iPad. Removing the Cache Solves the Problem only for One Time. All in iTunes selected Events or Albums etc. Are being replaced completely. It's like doing it for the first time (erased from mobile device and then tranfered again) and takes quite some time. At the next sync the problem returns. It seems to me that iPhoto remembers what has been transferred to ANY mobile device and ignores the photos when syncing to a different device. Please keep working on this issu - its very annoying.
The ipod photo cache shows when you right click on your iphoto library and select "paketinhalt anzeigen". Sorry, I only use the german version.
One thing I noticed is while syncing photos via iTunes, iTunes is trying to adapt the photos that are not working twice.

  • Wifi Issues after updating to Mavericks

After updating to Mavericks, the wifi on my 2011 Macbook Air started to drop a few minutes after connection. I performed wireless diagnostics, and here are the logs generated by the program.
    First is the monitoring log:
    # --- Monitor Test Cases
    11/11/13 19:39:01.8910           No LAN Connectivity
    11/11/13 19:39:01.8910           LAN: WiFi interface can ping IPv4 router 192.168.1.1 . . . fail
    # --- Monitor Summary
    11/11/13 19:39:08.0520           LAN Connectivity Failure

Might be corrupted network preferences ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Click Go then move all the files in the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
Turn off the base station for about ten seconds then turn it back on.
See if that makes a difference.
Your Mac will generate a new SystemConfiguration folder for you.
See if that helps the Wi-Fi connection.

  • Ipad 2 wifi issues since updating to ios version 4.3.3..

I have tried everything to remedy this on my own but to no avail.  I am picking up a great signal strength from my wifi on my ipad 2, but I just don't seem to get enough 'juice' to load a webpage.  I seem to be able to check email every now and then....this is incredibly frustrating.  This is my first Apple product that has wifi (have had ipods for a while) and I am not liking this at all.  I use my ipad 2 for everything now, I need help!

Glad/sad to see it's not just me.  Hopefull they will publish a fix for the last fixsoon.  I've tried all the remedies on CultoOfMac, to no avail either.
iPad1 and iPhone4 both TKO'ed at this point.  Very sad to see it happen in the middle of a session or appstore download!!!

  • Wifi issue since update

Since I updated to 2.1 I can no longer connect to a hot spot that I used to be able to.anyone else have this or know of a fix?cheers

You can try selecting the network and then select Forget this Network.
This will erase the network settings from your iPhone.
Try joining the network again as a new network.

  • Intermittent wifi issues post OS6 Upgrade

Apps are slower and recently wifi has completely cut out, then come back randomly.  Today I show a wifi connection icon, but have no connectivity.  Has Apple admitted a bug with this upgrade?  Reminds me of MS back in the old days.

I had these problems prior to the OS4 upgrade. Sometimes I cradle the ipod touch in my hand, other times I hold it like the damned fragile egg it seems to be. All my windows machines have relatively less connectivity errors. Occasionally they fritz out. The ipod touch seems to only stay connected when I am about four feet away from the router, sitting directly in front of my desktop. Initially, it worked downstairs in the kitchen, my friend has one and was watching movies on it down there. If I am not in the same router room, I will get differing signal strengths from full to one bar. Even if it is next to a laptop showing full signal. The drops are frustrating, having to sometimes completely re-enter the security phrase. It's a bugger even on a real keyboard.
I don't use it too often or have many apps that require wifi, but mainly for convenience after all the battery life is better than my laptops dead one.
It definitely gets annoying trying to browse the web and having to cycle out of safari, into settings, wifi, select my network, go back and repeat, make trip to router room, and go back to where I was. Sure I get exercise but I don't have the nike thing..... nor do I need added exercise.

  • Anyone having wifi issues on the 3gs after updating to 6.1.3?

Recently got rid of an iphone 4 that was having wifi issues after updating to 6.1.3 but wanted to know if any 3gs users are having issues with wif after installing the same update? Currently on 4.3.3

You can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

  • Ios 6.1.2 wifi issues

I am using iphone 4s for about 14 months now. i have never faced wifi issues before updating to ios 6.1.2. But now  i am not  staying connected to wifi for long time. I dont know whether i m alone in this world to face such an issue. Please help fix this issue to the earliest.
It's very disappointing to know that apple is ignoring such issues from its customers & even rolling back to back new software versions without even checking it to the fullest. And on top of that the apple customer care people are saying its a hardware problem. I think they are ignoring the fact of software issues with ios 6.1.2. especially with WIFI.
Please reply if anybody face such issues.and possible solution for it.

I've been having the same wifi dropouts on ios 6.1.2. I never have had this issue before, and it is very frustrating. It makes me wish I had never upgraded. I am not having this issue with my other wifi devices (PCs, Macs, Android phones, Roku, Wii, Apple TV), so I know it is not a router issue. Is Apple working on a fix?
One hard lesson that I learned is that I will never rush into any future ios updates again. I have tried all of the fixes that I could find online to no avail :-(
Oh, excuse me. I was just prompted again to rejoin my dropped wifi connection.

  • Another iPhone 5 wifi issue I guess.

I've seen the issue many are having not being able to connect to wifi, or connect and still getting no usage out if it. My issue is a little different. I can connect, but the range of my wifi is noticeably shorter for some reason. I'm getting less bars in the same locations of my house, and just dropping wifi in these locations where I never had any issue before. Also my iPhone 5 is significantly slower on on my wifi, versus my iPhone 4 on the same wifi. I'll include a video I put on YouTube to show how much. Downloading the same app, in the same place, on the same wifi... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfmoHrzjCWU .... This is just 1 test. I did about 10 in total,  6 YouTube video races, and 4 app download races. My iPhone 4 won them all, most by a lanslide like in the video.
I've commented on the other wifi issue post. But I didn't really see anybody else reporting this kind of issue. I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or maybe you have a 4s or 4 and you can check yourself and let me know. Thanks :)

I think this is interesting because even if all the people who are having connection issues, do finally get connected to wifi. Are they then gonna have this issue? Maybe not even notice it, atleast for a little bit. Then it becomes super annoying!!
