WIFI limited notifications

I have a Z10 with ATT running 1.0.2074. The problem I will describe did not happen prior to the latest OS update.
At home - when my z10 connects to my wifi - it shows connected but I get a notification that the wifi is limited and I should connect to another source. The wifi icon is NOT showing in the top bar but ATT LTE, the BB logo and the bars are there.
I have tried a Z10 restart, restarted the router - changed batteries - have run out of options.
I run a web server out of my house so the router is working just fine and if I connect wirelessly with my laptop or tablet, all is well. I do not understand the "limited" notification. The full message says "wifi access is limited. Some websites are not reachable....etc>
edit:this does not happen with my wifi at work.
Any thoughts?

I am guessing if you look at the IP address on your Blackberry when on your home WiFi you will see something like:
169.X.X.X, which means it did not get assigned an IP address by your router. A simple solution would be to assign a static IP address in the WiFi settings on your Blackberry for your home network.
Other's have reported similar issues with some routers.

Add one more disgruntled user to the list. First noticed that I couldn't download upgrades on my iPhone. It would prompt for password as normal, would briefly show "waiting" on the app icon and then just stops with app store still showing update. True deleting the app and installing from iTunes. This worked, but iTunes library had old version of app so it still showed an upgrade. I then deleted the app from the phone and iTunes and that is when I started getting the 11111 error. I've since discovered that I can download any new content to any of my linked iDevices, but cannot download any type of previously purchased content. No previously purchased music not on device, no previously purchased uninstalled apps, no installed app upgrades, etc. ALL show up in purchased content lists, but when you attemp to download it appears to be starting and then simply fails with no errors on the iDevice(s). I've also tried signing out of my account in settings - store, performing a hard reset and then signing back in, but alas, no success.
C'mon Apple, obviously a problem that is happening to numerous users and it started happening to us all at the exact same time. You got us iAddicted, now give us our iFix.

Think disabling WMM on G580 solved wifi Limited Access issue

I'm posting this in the hope the hope that it may help someone else. I have a G580, model 20150 with Windows 8.1 and the Broadcom wifi card. Like many of you, I had the limited Access dropout issue. Here's the things I can remember trying previously:
Switching from the Microsoft Broadcom driver to the Broadcom driver.
Turning off power management on the Broadcom driver
Setting IBSS mode to just b/g
Disable Bluetooth collaboration.
Disabling all things power managment I could find.
etc...
The thing I found that seemed to fix it once and for all is going to the Advanced properties of the Broadcom and disabling "WMM". As I understand it, WMM is a QoS feature for prioritizing audio/video port traffic over data. Supposedly, you can't take advantage of wireless N speeds with WMM off, but I'll trade performance for not having to reconnect every 15 minutes.
I'm not going to mess with telling you how to disable WMM since there are tons of instructions and discussions on the interwebs. I also can't guarantee that it wasn't a combination of WMM and other fixes that solved my problem because I'm not willing to experiment on my finally working pc. My system has been constantly connected and going strong for 12 hours.

Don't these usually work by intercepting the DNS quieries and then redirecting you to the gateway for authentication? Check your DNS settings and try to use theirs for the nameserver. Make sure something else isn't getting specified such as Google Public DNS.

G 780 - Wifi limited on Windows 8.1

Hi.
Since I installed the update of Windows 8.1 (which I really regret) , I have problems with my wifi connection. It turns to limited regularly, sometimes every 30 seconds.
I tried a lot of solutions I found on the internet and no success.

1.
Open System Properties and go to Advanced System Settings
Then this

Open Device Manager
Uninstall all Wireless driver
If ever it prompt you "delete driver software of this device" place a check then go ahead and un install it.
Restart your system if prompted

Now download the driver based on you Wificard model
Intel Wireless LAN Driver
Wireless LAN Driver (Liteon/Atheros, CyberTan/Broadcom)
run the Downloaded file and just go ahead with it till it finishes the installation.
4. Open device Manager / Under Network Adapter, right click on your Broadcom and select update driver
Now on the pop up window select "Browse my computer for driver software
Then select "Let me pick from a list"
You will be provided with a list of driver
From here if the list indicates a date for the drivers choose the most recent then install it
and reconnect to your WIFI it will say Limited in few seconds the it will connect.
it shoud work!!
If the list does not have dates on it you will have to do a trial and error with the drivers, select one and try connecting
again give few second when it say limitied.
If it stays that way Repeat Step 4. and try other driver.

IOS 6 weak wifi & push notification problems..

After upgrading my iphone 4G to IOS 6.1.2 , I do not recieve any push notifications from mail app and also from all other apps that I configured to use push notification service when my iphone is connected to any wifi network even my home wifi network but I noticed that when I connect iphone to 3G network, it recieve all push notifications without any problem nor delay and also noticed that iphone show weaker wifi signal when connected to my home wifi network compare to what it used to show when it was in IOS 5.. so why my iphone refuse to recieve push notifications when it is connected to wifi network and why recieving of wifi signal became weak ??
and u should know that these problems occured only after upgrading to IOS 6 and I tried to reset network settings and even do full restore to iphone many times but these problems still persist

I wish I could help you but unfortunately I can not even help myself & I think that IOS 6 is the worest firmware Apple released till now as it full of bugs affecting Maps,WiFi,3G,Push notifications,Lock screen,Music app and Battery life make me feel that I am using android device not iphone ..what is wrong with you Apple?

Disabling user limitation notifications

Hello,
I have set parental controls on a Macbook Pro running 10.7. When I login as the guest user, I am prompted, oftenly of the things or Apps I cannot use. Is there any way of disabling the notifications other than giving full control to the guest user? Please let me know.

i have one inbox, in it i have mobileme and gmail, but i only want to see dock notifications for the mobileme account, whats the best way?

To be sure I get it.... I'm not thinking about profile where you have you own setup on the device. I'm only talking about the situation, where you are syncing with more than one mail account and you want to set up a password for only one account and not the other (or the rest of Apps and/or funtionallity on the deivce).

Limiting Notifications List in tcode IW58

Hey SAP gurus,
I want to restrict SAP users from viewing/changing notifications having a particular existing user status.
I only know how to save a variant (from IW58) having that particular status excluded, but my users found this solution as impractical, since they have to get that variant each time they enter in transaction IW58.
Hence, I want that some users won't be able to see such notifications 'by default' and without having the choice to see them.
Is there any method to do this? maybe by creating a new transaction code or maybe by setting a default variant?

if you want default variant what ever you have created you have to assign in the transaction .
Goto transaction code SE93 and give your transaction code ZIW58 and click on change indicator.
in Start with Variant give your variant created and same.
wherever you execute ZIW58 your default variant will be selected.
-Discuss with devolpment team during package creation
Alternatively execute SE38 and select the ZIW58 program and select with Variants and create a new variant, it will default with selected value,

WiFi Limited Since Firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.204 - Hom...

Good afternoon all,
Putting this out there to see if anyone else has experienced or is experiencing the same problems.
Since last Friday, 23rd Jan 2015, my Windows 8.1 laptop frequently drops it's wireless connection to the router (Home Hub 5). It's been faultless for months but now the connection frequently drops. So much so that I have been unable to complete any work today (I work from home and frequently VPN onto customer domains).
The connection can remain stable for anything from a few minutes to a few hours but seemingly when I put the connection under strain (large uploads for example) the connection will drop.
When it drops the wireless status says 'Limited' and 'No Internet Access'.
A quick troubleshoot and Windows declares that the 'Default Gateway is not available' and that it's been fixed.
Connection then resumes for another x number of minutes until it drops again.
At first I was cursing Windows 8.1. It's not my best friend and I had noticed a bunch of system updates just a few days before. Plus all my other devices (iPad, Android Phone, Lumia Phone, Sky and Xbox One) are ok. Hence fingers pointing at Windows.
Alas, after removing all the updates I still had the same problem.
Next I updated all my machine's network drivers. Problem still exists.
I tried a different channel on the Home Hub 5 rather than allow it to auto select. Problem still exists.
I've allocated a static IP to my laptop. Problem still exists.
Running out of ideas now so decided to check the Event Log on the HH5. Discovered that the firmware was updated to 4.7.5.1.83.8.204 on the 22nd Jan!
Huzzah, firware updated on the 22nd. Problem with laptop dropping it's connection starts on the 23rd.
By the powers of exclusion I therefore point blame at the latest firmware on the HH5.
Anyone else got this problem?
Solution for now is to plug an ethernet cable in. Not ideal as I'm a long way from the router and I now have an ethernet cable stretched across the house.

This might be a bright red herring, so don't let it distract you to much.
There's been some problems with Java lately. I have a favourite website which uses Java and it was giving problems.
Check your Java updates.
Goto Control Panel and in the search area type in Java. This will take you to the Java control panel, and you can check your settings and updates. Perhaps you should adjust the settings to notify monthly (after retrieving any existing updates).
Perhaps finding the Java updates is not as simple in Windows 8.1. Is there a Control Panel equivalent in Windows 8.1?
This will eliminate one more variable for your existing problems.

Attachment Limits Notification

Recently I have found that if a user sends an attachment from their iDevice that exceeds the maximum attachment size defined in the mobility & gw connector, the email simply vanishes. No notification of any kind to sender or recipient that the message has failed. Isn't mobility supposed to strip the attachment and send off the rest of the email if this violation occurs?

We had this happening for all attachments at one client even though the
default setting of 500KB was still showing. This was affecting both
Android and BlackBerries. Once we changed it, messages started flowing
again with correct behaviour. Tweak your settings in case it helps you as
well and let us know if that helps you as well.

C6-00 WiFi limited possibilities?

At school we have a wireless network but I can't seem to get on to it.
This is the information I got:
SSID: Stud@DN
Type security: companysecurity
Netwerkverification: WPA2-Enterprise
Datacode: AES-CCMP
802.1x enabled
Verificationtype: PEAP
Verificationprotocol: MS-CHAP-V2
Username: School Login Name
Password: Your School Login Password
But I can't seem to configure these settings on the settingsmenu of the W-Lan of my C6-00
I also got a Certificate from the school...
Could anybody help me please how to connect to this network?

Try going to "Settings" / "Connectivity" / "Wireless LAN" / "Options" / "Settings" / "Options" / "Advanced Settings" / "Yes" . Now change "Automatic configuration" to "Manual" and then set "Power Saving" to "Disabled" This worked for me.

"Receive Email Notifications" not working correctly?

Not a Snow Leopard question, but I don't know where else to post this.
I seem to be receiving email notifications for * every * topic in this forum. My email notification preferences are set for only limited notifications -- i.e., threads I want to follow.
Since I don't want to turn notifications completely 'off,' how do I get Apple to correct this?

There is a Discussions topic, but I'm not sure where it's at.
In the forums, click on your name; that will take you to your profile.
Click on Edit Preferences in the "Actions" box on the right side of the page.
Click on the "Email Notification Preferences" tab and set them up how you'd like.
Save the preferences.
Then, go back to the first page of your profile (click on you name, again)
Click on Manage Email Notifications.
Select all by clicking the Checkbox in the header.
Delete them all.

Wifi card not working properly

I purchased an hp Envy in October 2014. The wifi card no longer functions properly. Connections are intermittent or so slow they don't function. Is this defect covered by warranty? The wifi card is Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11
As long as I'm hard wired, I have no internet connection issues. But dysfunctional wifi limits mobility and eliminates one of the primary features that I relied on in making the purchase choice. What is the solution?

Push Notifications rarely/never work.

I have tried nearly everything to get push notifications working but can't get them to work, everything is turned on for notifications. The weird thing is if I go to my friends house for a few hours and them come back and connect to my wifi push notifications will work for a little while then continue to work. I am on iOS5 and have been through several filmwares and no push notifications have worked.

I actually did, and here is the answer I received:
"When you are sent a message in WhatsApp, but are not online to receive it, WhatsApp will automatically send your message to the Apple Push Notification Service (APNS). This allows an alert containing the message to be displayed, even when WhatsApp is closed or your phone's display is off. Most often, all that is needed to resolve notification issues is to ensure that all notification settings are enabled. Review these FAQ pages for troubleshooting steps:

Sending your message to APNS typically takes only a few milliseconds. Once your message is sent to APNS, any delays or failure to deliver the message as a push notification to your device are usually caused by issues with your phone or network connection. Currently, all of our systems are operating normally.
If you are using iOS 7, and are confident that you have all push notification settings enabled in WhatsApp and the iPhone Notification Center, then there is likely an issue with your phone that WhatsApp cannot resolve for you. In this case, I recommend the following steps:
Backup your entire phone to iCloud.
After the backup is complete, Erase all content and settings.
Continue setting up your phone as a new device (do not restore from the iCloud backup).

I tried to delete everything from my iPhone and then restore my data with the backup on my computer but it did not change anything, I still can't receive any notification, unless I open the application... However, I restored immediatly my backup cause I was afraid it wouldn't work after, but I don't really think it would change something to first start as a new device and then erase all content again and restore it.
