Wifi login via browser

Hi,
I'm using a wifi where I have to login with my personal account. So I always have to wait for the login screen to come up. If I accidentally click away the login screen or for whatever else reason (which happens often), I have to want until the screen comes up again. But I there's nothing I can do but wait for that.
I know the address of the login page. But when I try to access the login page via a browser (safari or chrome) the browser tells me that the web site is not available as the is no internet connection. But I know there is a connection to at least that site (as I do it everyday with the computer).
Does anyone knows how to fix this problem? Is there a browser that's able to enter these login pages?

It depends on service to service ... also you could try going into that Wifi Settings (the i next to the connection name) and Forget it ... then select it again and login should come up instead of waiting

the appletv will not be able to work on it's own
you can use a computer or iphone acting the role of hotspot login using it's browser and getting internet access and then sharing it with the appletv
so the appletv sees it as a wifi router it connects to

After checking your PIN number, it shows you do not have a BlackBerry® data plan with your network service provider. This is required to use Google® Talk. Contact your network service provider to add a plan.

You have radius setup for managment? If you have radius setup, make sure you don't have the managmeent check box enabled unless you are using TACACS or Radius for management users. Seem's like radius if sending a reject back to the WLC.

Mavericks - Safari WiFi login window on startup

When I boot up my MBP, a Safari window with my apartment's WiFi login page opens automatically. It's not a full-blown Safari window, but it seems it's a "feature" for connecting to WiFi networks that require login credentials (similar to some hotels/public networks that require you to pass through a page before you can actually access the Internet). The window has a button in the bottom right corner that says "Cancel" until you log in, at which point it says "Done" and allows you to close the window once the login has occurred.
Anyways, I am annoyed by the number of times I have to enter in the same info into this window (my network requires it nearly every time I wake my MBP up from sleep; it's a nightmare). If any of you are familiar with this login window, is there a way to set up autofill? I'm not sure where to begin as the window doesn't show a URL or anything so I can't really manually enter it into the autofill settings. Even a setting to disable the window from popping up automatically might be helpful so I could just log in through the browser and more easily setup autofill. If any of you are familiar with this feature, your help would greatly be appreciated.
BTW, this didn't happen until I upgrade to Mavericks. At first it was handy to make sure I connected to the network first thing when my computer booted up, but now it's popping up constantly and you can't minimize it until you decide either to cancel the network login or fill out the form. Keychain Wifi Login on networks requiring additional info

Is there a way to turn off Keychain wifi login on networks that ask for additional information or user input? For example, the free wifi at a coffee shop requires users to login and then "connect" to the free wifi. The reason for connecting is because the wifi is limited to a certain amount of time allotted by the shop to each user. Since keychain opens up a separate login window and doesn't close until I click "done", I am not able to disconnect from the network to save wifi time for the next trip to the coffee shop.

Portal not accessable via browser as inside sapmmc - http provider is red

I am very new to NW admin side and currently my client is facing an issue while accessing portal via browser.
Problem: Some times suddently when users try to access production portal it takes a lot of time to open up and in most cases it doesn' t get opened up at all. To check what' s wrong with the portal i access sapmmc and inside their i find under current status -> ... -> services -> http provider -> total requests in red status with a description as avg request - response time last reported value above threshold limit. It will be the same case under open alerts too.
My server configuration is:
SAP-JEE = 7.0SP14
OS = Windows 2003 (X86) 5.2
Server Version = 1.4.2_17-bo6
Kernel Version = 7.00 patch level 109886.44
Server = 32 bit
RAM = 16.00GB
Processor = Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5450 @3.00GHZ (8CPUs)
Heap Size: 1024 MB
Approximate number of users = 500 - 600
Currently to solve the issue, we give a reboot to server. But with the progress in time the frequency is getting increased drastically (approx once in 2- 3 days).
Any pointers on how to solve this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Now the issue seems to end up by raising an OSS notes with SAP and i have been given responsibility to prepare a doc that needs to be submited to SAP.
I have already got the screenshots from SAPMMC on it' s status and all, but also requires log information specific to the reason behind this behaviour. Can i know where the log information specific to such issues gets logged and all the necessary information that i need to document to raise an OSS.

Connect MacBook to wifi network via Ethernet

I am looking for a way to connect my MacBook to my wifi network via my Ethernet port. I'm not having any trouble with the wifi but am looking at getting an apple tv and wish to be able to use wolan. As far as I know, wowlan is only available using the apple airport routers. Is there something I can get that plugs into my Ethernet port on my MacBook, connects to the wifi network and lets my MacBook treat it as a wired connection so I can use wolan? I assume something like this would. E cheaper than buying an apple router that supports wowlan...?
Also, how do I make sure that my current router actually supports wolan?

We assume that you are trying to configure the AirPort Express to "join" your wireless network. In order to do so, you must enter in the wireless network name, exact type of security and password that your network is using.
Mistakes are often made with the security settings because different manufacturers use different nomenclature to mean the same thing. For example
WPA2 Personal on Apple = WPA2-PSK-AES on other wireless routers
or
WPA/WPA2 Personal on Apple = WPA-PSK-TKIP on other wireless routers
Can you dig a bit deeper into your settings on your router to find out whether you are using AES or TKIP? Once you find that info, you should be able to match up the correct setting on the AirPort Express during the configuration.
Don't be fooled by the the message that you see when you click Update during the configuration process. The message states something to the effect that the settings have been stored successfully on the AirPort Express. What it doe not tell you is whether the settings that were stored are the correct settings.
You will know that you have the correct settings when you see a green light on the AirPort Express 40-45 seconds after you click the Update button.

Yes it is possible.
In addition to syncronizing users (for example with an Active Directory) there is also the possibility to use a self-registration scenario.
If you could explain the context (e.g. ESS, Internet facing Webshop, Portal, internal ITS) then we will be able to give you better advise. Your question is very vague.

I have let it load until NFCU asks me if I want to cancel the session, a much to long of a load time. Has anyone else reported having this issue with NFCU or Mozilla Firefox 3.6.18?

You are able to view Crystal Reports via a browser in a few ways.
1. Report is published to Enterprise and you use Infoview to browse to the report and view.
2. Report is published to Enterprise and you use a custom application written in .NET/JAVA to view the report, loading it from your enterprise server.
3. Report is stored on disk and you use a custom application written in .NET/JAVA to view the report.

Kerberos & AFP fails to login via kerberos

I am unable to login via afp using kerberos. When i used the kadmin.local -q listprincs comand to list the principals the afpserver is listed. When i change the authorization to kerberos. I revice a : "Connection Failed! The User Authentication Method required by this server can't be found." It was working under 10.4.3 is there any changes since.

Facebook via browser

I often go to FB via the browser & not the app because the app is poorly written & has even more limited features than when going via the browser.
However, today I notice that the browser version is no longer working & that it's defaulting to https://m.facebook.com even though I type in www.facebook.com .. I assume it's trying to go to a mobile version
Is anyone else having trouble getting onto FB via browser?

Yes it goes directly to mobile version even you typed www.facebook.com. If you want to switch to Desktop version, tap Menu (3 lines on the top left corner), at the bottom, you can see Desktop Site. Tap it.
