Wifi module not working in ZTE Open

Hi all.
Bought this device ZTE Open! When I updated the firmware to v1.1 wi-fi module stopped working!

As the title suggests.
Nothing shows up in hardware manager, the module is physically installed OK (redone twice) no bent pins or obvious damage or shorting.
Weirdly enough the driver disk doesn't seem to work either, nothing shows in the list to install, downloaded drivers from website and installed but still nothing working still.
everything else on MB working fine, really nice board, if the module is kaput can I get a replacement? I'd hate to send the board back because I'd be without my computer.

The detection problem is not from your damage of the antenna or so, but I think is a hardware design problem.
If you try to reboot it in different ways - such as OS reboot, pressing reset key or even unplug the power cord; you will see the bluetooth ...

Per favore, vai a Gestione periferiche e fare clic sul controller di rete che necessita di driver.
Poi inserire l'ID hardware per essa.
Se non sai dove trovare l'ID hardware, si prega di leggere la guida al link qui sotto.

Please go to the device manager and click on the network controller needing drivers.
Then post the hardware ID for it.

restore your phone as new through itunes. if the issue persists after a factory restore via itunes, it means you've got a hardware issue and the phone needs to be repaired

I am not computer expert it happen to me. I think it is not working for a touch on/ off so you have to push using your finger and hold and open to the right (like when you open a door). That worked for me I call it mannual opening. I did not get any help so I figured out the hard way.Let me know but I am for sure

I got a MacBook Pro today. The previous owner had Apple wipe it clean for the new owner, me. When I first tried putting my wifi password in, I wasn't remembering exactly what it was, so I tried many different possibilities. Since then, I found my password in my office. I put it in, when it asked for it. But, it's not taking it. It just says searching for networks. And, this is after I identified the correct network. So, I am wondering if perhaps after a number of "tries" does it not accept ANY further attempts ? You know like Banking passwords....you get locked out. I'm wondering if I'm locked out?

No, not like a bank timeout.
Open keychain in your Utilities Folder and look for old router password, or delete wrong passwords.
You can always reset your router password to something new that you can remember.

If you are having issues with enabling Wifi on your iPhone you may want to try a couple of things to troubleshoot. First of all I would quit all open applications on the phone and try again. See this previous thread for how -

Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement.

Wifi Sync not working on iOS 6 and iTunes 10.7 with iPhone 4S

I am running Windows 7 64-bit but WiFi Sync is not working on either my iPhone 4S or my wife's iPhone 4S. Worked fine before upgrading. All settings look correct in iTunes 10.7 and on our iPhones 4S's. Already tried uninstalling iTunes and all associated Apple programs (Bonjour, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Application Support, etc) and reinstalling iTunes but no help. Temporarily disabling Norton Firewall did not help. If I hook up either of our two 4S phones via USB wire, they Sync and Backup fine. Just WiFi Sync not working. Can't initiate sync from iPhones because button is ghosted stating it is waiting for PC to be present. Phones don't show up under Devices in iTunes unless hard-wired via USB cable. Any suggestions?

One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

The problem would seem to be in the firewall in your router. Have you tried disabling it? I assume you've updated the router firmware, right? Consider bypassing the ISP provided router (using it as a modem only) and unsing another device such as an Aiport Express.
