Wifi not working since ios 7?

Hey guys i'm sure this has been posted a few times, could'nt find any answers.. anwyay, I have 4S and since ios 7 my wifi dosnt work, has come on rarely if phone has died of battery and been left for a while it would come on..I read that its because since the update it will turn off wifi is the temperature in the phone is too high.. Is this true? Is there anyway to turn off if so? and can i go back to older ios to see if it fixes it? Is a real pain as i dont have good signal my way so i rely on the wifi on my phone quite heavily, thanks guys!

Does it read login.oscar.aol.com in the server Setting tab ?
(iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts > Server Settings)

In Previous versions iChat was set up to automatically change the Server Name fro AIM logins when starting or turning Off SSL. (it tended to look like the leading "s" appeared or disappeared).
IT Changed from login.oscar.aol.com to slogin.oscar.aol.com
There are suggestions that this does not happen now.
It is not known if this is done deliberately for "Security" or an error in the Update file.

Why does wifi not work since loading IOS 6

I have had a iPhone 4s since it was released... I uploaded IOS 6 & my iphone 4s wifi rarely & barely works... All my other computing wifi devices work fantastic because I have 20+ mb/s download speeds... iPhone 4s downloads at 1 to 3 mb/s or not at all... Apple replaced my iphone in Oct, the wifi worked briefly then quit... Yesterday Apple replaced my iphone again, it didn't last 24 hours & the wifi quit working...
My wife's iphone 4s has quit working too after updating to IOS 6...
Can we go back to IOS 5 or is there another solution...
Been to the Genius Bar & their only solution is to give you another iphone or wait for another software update...
They recognize the issue too, but have no zero solutions...

How has it stopped working?

My I message is not working, since IOS 8.3 update.

My messages is not working properly, since IOS 8.3 update. Message are left hanging as undelivered. When I tap on "try again" nothing happens. Even messages to known contacts with I phones, appear in green and does not get delivered anyway. I have reset my i phone several times to no avail. I like my I phone 6+ as a camera. All other functions are less than impressive.

Wifi not working since both updates

I have read that a lot of people are having the same issue as me (wifi button not working - it is greyed - every since the 6.1 update and now the 6.1.1).. all I want to know is what will Apple do when I take my phone into store (I have an appointment on Saturday) ?
I have done everything; resetting everything including network settings, restoring from back up and as a new iphone, let the battery drain and try it and I have seen the suggestion of putting the phone in the freezer, but for some reason that doesn't sound very clever...
So yeah, will Apple replace the phone (I am under warranty) or will they send it off for repair?

You're in the right direction! Go to your local Apple Store and get it resolved. Most likely, they will replace the device.

Texas Holdem - not working since iOS 8?

Hi,
For years I have been a fan of Apple's Texas Hold'em (think it's version 1.1).
The game starts but none of the settings and scores are remembered.
It worked perfectly until I got an iPhone 6 running iOS 8. (iPhone 4/iOS 7.x)
Every time you start the app it's like you've never played it before.
- Has anyone seen this behaviour?
- Any workaround?

I wish I would've known this before I upgraded the OS. I, like everyone here loved to crank up my winnings playing the computer when I had a little downtime. Fun little game that was simple and easy to play. I had 90M and was working towards cracking 100.
Restoring the app wouldn't work since it doesn't respect the settings any longer.
This was Apple's only game. It's too bad they couldn't ensure compatibility going forward.

Call list not working since iOS 8!

No, it's not a bug. It is most likely an issue with your specific device.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the issue persists, take the device to Apple for evaluation.

WiFi & Bluetooth Not Working Since iOS 6.1.3

I updated my 16GB iPhone 4S to iOS 6.1.3 last week.
Now WiFi is turned off. The Off/On switch in Settings>Wi-Fi is grayed out and will not allow me to turn WiFi on.
Bluetooth functionality is gone. When I go to Settings>Bluetooth I just see the rolling circle that never stops.
I did immediately find Apple's ts1559 support document.
-Of course I'm not in Airplane Mode (Is it turned on?)
-Of course I tried restarting my device, multiple times. Both soft and hard reset.
-Yes, I have the most current version of the OS (6.1.3) I even tried reinstalling the firmware and iOS from Recovery mode, no joy.
-Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings did nothing.
-Backed up and restored the device... Absolutely no change. Even the blank phone without my restored info on it displays the symptoms.
I have NEVER jailbroken the device, only ever dropped it once (months ago) and have no water damage
Has anyone else had this exact same issue?
I don't want to hear about random wifi connection problems, stay on topic or create a new thread.
Apple: is this a known issue?

I have same problem, exactly same Iphone, same rolling circle etc. plus I also tried all upper solutions same as aquaholic said. Problem appears with iOS 6.1.3. about 30 min after instaling that lol upgrade. I went to appstore (in Poland) - they couldn`t help but one guy told me that iPhone turns off wifi and bluetooth when Iphone is too hot and turns it off becouse iOS 6 uses hot sensor (at least i think he told something like that) which iOS 5 doesn`t. Solution which comes to my mind was quite stupid - cool down Iphone in fridge. So I put it there for 15min (someone did that too on other forum so it help me with decision) and .. tadaaa ! it worked. Anyway worked as long as it was really cold, when it warmed problem returns. So there can be two possibilities as I`m sure i didn`t damaged my phone neither dropped:
1. Heat sensor (if really exist) isn`t working properly and newest iOS just revealed that error. Sensor might be damaged somehow during one year of use even if i don`t remember or:
2. Software upgrading has errors which in some models of this Iphone appears.
IPhone was bought about 13 months ago in Bialystok, Poland from T-Mobile operator, There is no problem with my IPhone 5 also no problem with Iphone 3Gs but it`s too "old" fo iOS 6
I hope Apple read our posts and at least try to help or suggest anything.

Flash / flashlight not working since ios 7 update

I have an iPhone 5. Since I've updated to ios7 I have not been able to get the LED light to work. I've tried photo and video, and I've tried the dedicated 'flashlight' button... nothing.
Everything looks right on the screen, just no action in the light. I've tried hooking to itunes and syncing, powering down and restarting things and I even got the newest update fix (7.0.2 or whatever)... no dice.
I took some photos with a flash a few days before I updated, so I'm fairly sure that my hardware isn't damaged.
Any ideas?

I had the same problem it's definitely a software issue because the camera would sometimes work in camera apps but now I could not switch cameras at all.
I may have found a solution of course I probably won't get credit for thanks to Apple.
I believe the problem arises from a bug when the camera is used in lock mode, try restarting your phone with the home and power button. Then open your camera in locked mode and set the flash to auto. Maybe take a few pictures, switch the camera back and fourth, turn HDR on and off, but make sure the flash is set to auto before you unlock the phone. Heck even try playing with the flashlight.
After I did this in locked mode to my surprise my camera and flashlight are now fully functional after I have unlocked it with the password. I'm not to sure what triggered this bug but when I first got iOS 7 and played with my phone some how I unlocked the lock screen without putting in a password. Just by using the camera and the notification and control Center, I unlocked the phone which might of triggered the bug.

IMessage not working since iOS 8

Since installing iOS 8 iMessage won't send many messages. Changing to SMS does not help. By experimenting, I think the messages that won't send are any with my wife's name included in the addressees. She also can not send messages that have my name in the addressees.
We share the same Apple account for app purchases, etc. but are logged into iMessage with separate Apple IDs. I am logged in with the common Apple ID and she is logged in with the ID linked to her iCloud account. I have an iPhone 5. She has an iPhone 4S. Both operating with iOS 8.
I have tried the suggestion of turning off iMessage in favor of SMS and then resetting the network settings, then turning iMessage back on. This does not resolve the issue.
We never had this problem until the iOS 8 update. I can not find solutions to this online... what to do???

Mail not working since iOS 8.2 upgrade

hi - my Mail has stopped downloading to my iPhone 5 mailbox since I uograded to IOS 8.2.
I had a similar issue with 8.02 however that fixed itself after a few days, however whatever I have tried (reinstalling myail account, rebooting the phone) it is still now working.
Does does anybody have and suggestions on how to fix?

HT203040 iPhone 4S Camera app not working since iOS 8.2 update.

Since downloaded iOS 8.2 on my iPhone 4S the camera won't work. It is just black. Sometimes we can scroll between photo, video etc, but most the time the whole thing is locked up. I have tried rebooting the phone. Nothing works.

Menu bar dropdowns not working since iOS 5 update

Since the iOS 5 update for the iPhone when opening up certain web pages the dropdown menus stopped working even with the latest release. However in Safari there doesn't seem to be an issue. Obviously it was something to do with the updated web browser.
Is there a simple workaround for the webpage? Currently it would be a time consuming task to update the script for each page of the secure website?
How can someone submit an issue directly to Apple for this to be adressed in the iOS6 update?

Thanks for the quick response. Im aware that Safari is the browser in iOS5 for iPhone. Just to be clear, when using a web browser (Safari, ie firefox,opera) from a PC or MAC there are no issues with the dropdown menus with the web pages.
Before the iOS5 came out for the iPhone the dropdown menus worked properly without issue in previous versions. I even tried using various other browsers from the app store and still have the issue on the iPhone which leads me to believe the issue lies with the original code in iOS5.
I hoping to see this was an issue others. Will try the link provided to the developers.
If it cant be resolved with iOS6 my next option is to create an app. I dont want to change my web app coding at this point.

Gmail push and twitter/facebook notifications not working since ios 5

I have not been getting any push email notifications, the device does not seem to be receiving any mail unless I fetch it manually or wait for the 15 min fetch schedual. Also, I am not getting any of the integrated twitter notifications. Any possible fix?
