Wifi password for Apple TV

I live in apartment block where wifi connection is provided for whole building and there is no router password, but you have to enter a password into the browser with the apartment number. It's like in a hotel room. Since there is no browser on the Apple TV and I cannot find anywhere to enter a password I wonder whether my Apple TV can be used. With no wifi connection I cannot even mirror my i pad on the Apple TV as I do not think you can directly connect them. Any solution?

If it is second hand, try putting it in recovery mode, and restoring it with itunes on a mac or pc.

no to access itunes store you need the appleID and correct password
but to access the internet you need the password for your wifi network

If you can't remember your current password then you should be able to get it reset via this page : http://iforgot.apple.com
If you know your current password then on your phone you can try tapping on your id in Settings > Store and you might be able to change it on your account's screen, or on your computer's iTunes you can log into your account via the Store > View Account menu option and change it on there

You can usually find the wi-fi password on your router itself if you know the router's ID and password (not the wi-fi password). You can log into your router by putting its address (usually 192.168.1.1) into your browser's address window.

What password? If you are referring to Apple ID you can't change that on Apple TV, it would need to be done via iTunes.

Have you gone to the Settings and logged out and back in again?

No. Apple will not merge Apple IDs, and you can't use the same username and password for multiple IDs.
