WiFI/Phone simultaneous use on a v1 hardware/v2.0 clean software load

Symptoms:
On a call using the phone part of the iPhone. Turn on/Connect to wifi. Shows full signal/3 'arcs'. I go to connect. It seems to start connecting/downloading, then switches to look like it wants to [and tries to] access edge. WiFi drops to 1 'arc' of signal and stays that way, never finishes downloading or connecting. Safari returns an error saying connection closed with server, other apps just fail.
When phone is not in use, WiFi works.
If Wifi is connected will work until making a call.
Set-up: v1 iPhone hardware, v2.0 software build loaded the day it came out with a number of apps loaded from the AppStore. Phone is not jailbroken or whatever it is called.
Anyone have any ideas or seeing the same behavior?

Glad to hear that you now have iPod Touch.
As you have Home WiFi, you need not to use "Skype WiFi".
You will download "Skype" application from App Store and you will sign in with your current Skype name and passwords.

Have your wife log in to her user account on the laptop. Launch iTunes, then connect her phone to the computer with the USB cable. Sync. That should put back all apps and media. Since you already upgraded her to iOS 5 she'll have to manually enter all her settings and preferences, and organize her home screens.

Only the carrier to whom the device is locked can unlock it.
StraightTalk is not a supported carrier... not all features may work.

If your iPhone cell carrier allows you to use Tethering, you can turn your iPhone into a wifi hotspot, then your iPad Air can connect to that for internet access. Not all cell carriers allow tethering without you signing up for additional fees/services. For example, AT&T in the US still has grandfathered "unlimited" data plans, but they do not allow tethering for those plans. With AT&T you need to switch to a Mobile Share plan (or a tiered plan if still available) to use tethering (legally).

Hey all, i live in France and have an internet provider called free. This provider allows me to use a phone connecting to my network using wifi, and therefore use VOIP to make phone calls on regular phone numbers, for free... unlike skype.
Therefore i was wondering if it would be possible to use my computer to make those calls. I.E. Is there a software that would do such a thing?

What phone services use WIFI?

I have a Droid 3. I was wondering what services use the WIFI connection?
I expect that when you are connected to a WIFI connection:
     That using your browser to surf the web uses WIFI
     Some apps like Pandora will use the WIFI
     MyVerizon app can use the WIFI, cause when connected to WIFI the app makes you login to MyVerizon (and doesn't on 3G)
     and I expect email and/or any other DATA apps like MAPS use WIFI
     BUT what about:
     TEXTING? or Phone Calls? ( I know Tmobile uses Wi-Fi Calling, although you best have the "Free Wi-Fi calling" feature.)
Even if it still counts against my Monthly allowance for texting or phone minutes having coverage via WIFI to supplement when 3G is weak would be great! (Also you can find on Tmobile site that TMobile supports WIFI Calling on their Android phones. Not that I want to switch, just showing that it is technically possible)
So what's the answers?

You can call via Skype on WiFi, but normal Verizon Wireless calls do not utilize WiFi. I am sure that there are also texting apps that will utilize WiFi or your data allowance depending on which you are using at the time.

iCloud never stored music. That is what the iTunes Match service is for.
The only way to get back non-iTunes-purchased music is to import them to your new iTunes library however you did it on your old computer.

I updated my LG G3 this week and now it SUCKS! When I'm connected to WIFI, nothing on Facebook works. The photos and videos won't populate. I have to turn off the WIFI and only use the mobile data. Not to mention, I really hate the way it looks now.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Sounds like a hardware failure.
Make an appointment at the genius bar and take it in for them to look at. It will probably need to be replaced.

How Do I know When Edge or WIFI is in use?

I have read many of the discussion forums and the manual and many other blogs. Bottom line is the phone will not work as a phone if the phone is using the edge network. Is there a way to know you are using your edge network? Does using the WIFI prevent the phone from being a phone? I have woke up my phone many times to find that Safari is still on the page I last used. Or an application like GasBag. Does this mean it could not recieve a call while asleep but connected to Edge or WIFI? Is it really disconnected? How do you know?

Check the symbol next to the carrier name (just to the right of the AT&T in your case). It shows for Wi-Fi, 3G for the 3G network, E for the EDGE network, and a dot for the GPRS network. If connected to Wi-Fi or 3G, you can access data and voice at the same time. On EGDE or GPRS, you can access data or voice, not both simultaneously (meaning if you're in the middle of a download, a call will go straight to voicemail).

Internet connection lost when the phone is used

Have had BT internet for well over a year with no problems, but over the last few days I have experienced problems with losing the internet connection. I have now pinpointed it to the fact that as soon as the phone is used (receiving or making a call) the internet connection is lost. Once the phone call is finished, it can take up to a minute before the internet connection comes back (ie. the Broadband sign on the hub is yellow while there is a problem, but after a minute or so after the call is finished it turns blue again). Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? There has been no recent changes to hardware or equipment that could be the cause of this.

Probably a line fault, however you need to check that the fault is still present when you plug everything into the master socket, just to prove there is no problem on your internal wiring.
