  • Photosmart D110 and Wifi Printing Help Please!

I have been told my several different tech support ppl at various stores that I can use my Verizon Mobile Broadband card's WIFI output to print to a wireless printer.  Can someone please provide DETAILED instructions on how to do this?  I have installed the software  but when i try to connect wirelessly it says no network found.  Which is true because i of course do NOT have a network.  I only have my broadband card and WIFI output....??   It's all new to me so i'm not sure what to do.  Thanks in advance!

OK, I think I understand.  Normally, one wireless radio can connect to one device at a time.  You have two.  One is a VPN connection to the Verizon cellular network with a special radio meant for that.  The other is a standard wifi radio that is connected to your printer.
You can always come back here for help!

  • IMac Newbie - Airport to WIFI printer help

I've just bought a Lexmark printer to go with my core duo intel iMac. The printer has WIFI and I thought I might be able to connect it through Airport?
It has USB if I have to use it, but wireless would be awesome.
I've got no idea about Airport as I'm a recent PC convert since my mate sold me his iMac.
I did try to create a network but I wasn't really sure what I was doing.... Passwords and hex and all that and then not knowing how to change or delete a network I may have created - too much in one night for a newbie.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, okay. Well, no, you're right, you can do what you describe. Here's how.
First, find out from the printer's documentation what kind of encryption type it supports. You'll be looking for the phrase "WEP" or ideally "WPA" or "WPA2".
Next, on the Mac, go to System Preferences, Sharing, and Internet Sharing.
For "Share your connection from" choose your (USB?) device.
For "To computers using" choose "Airport". Then set up a wireless network name and choose the appropriate encryption type that the printer will support. As I say, ideally this will be WPA or WPA2, and choose a good 8-character password. If you're using WPA/WPA2, you don't need to worry about hex characters (that's an old WEP scheme).
Now you have a wireless network, and you should follow your printer's instructions to join it. Your Mac will essentially be the "wireless router" or "gateway" and its IP will be 192.168.2.1; your printer's IP address will probably be 192.168.2.2, but you should try to allow it to get an IP address automatically.
Let us know if that works.

  • I need some help setting up a WiFi printer please

Firstly, apologies for the long post but I’m really struggling with this one.
I live in France and am trying to get wifi printing working on a friend’s Intel iMac (OSX Tiger 10.4.11) connected to a Lexmark X4875 printer. She’s connecting to the internet via Airport using a Livebox router, no problems. I’ve set up the printer to work wifi and that all 'appears' to be successful with the wifi light going to green as it should. I’ve also ‘associated’ the printer with the router by pressing the association button on the Livebox at the time of set-up and the printer is registered with the Livebox with correct MAC id.
So far everything looks like it should work until I go ‘Add Printer’ and the wifi printer is never seen (no problems if connected via USB). I’ve reset the printer erasing all print settings and starting again, done numerous restarts of all devices and still no go.
I should add that I have set up many wifi printers previously and even had this one working previously for over a year - it’s just that she had to get a new Livebox recently and now I can’t get it to work.
I realise that not everybody will be familiar with the Livebox although they are common anywhere Orange operates as an ISP but I’m hoping that someone will have some nugget of information that will help me get this sorted.
Thanks in advance for any advice, Paul.

    Bump! Anyone?

  • HT1695 My iPad will not except my Kodak ESP 1.2 printer via wifi any help please

My iPad will not except my Kodak ESP 1.2 printer via wifi any help please

Is that model a wifi printer? As far  as I know, there are no kodak printers that are air print enabled. So you have to use a third party helper of some kind.
Look on Kodak's site. They have options for various models. There might be an app that will help, I believe some models also work with google documents.
If none of those work then you can look to third party apps. I have Print n Share and it works with my iPad, but there's also Printopia and Print Central and I'm sure there are others.

  • IPrint app on iPhone 4 cant see WiFi printer HP D110

bought and correctly installed HP D110 wifi printer and wirelessly configured to two windows pc's in my home - working fine. i have HP iPrint 3.0 on my iPhone 4 and when i try to print a photo from the iPhone 4 it says no printers available. the iPhone 4 is on the same home wireless network as the D110 printer. Help!!

I would check to see if the printer has an update this should fix the issue.   If you go to the printers display you should see a wrench icon, select this then go to preferences and ok, then scoll down to product updates and ok.  It will go and look for an update and then will install....let me know if that works.

  • My iMac does not find my wifi printer or my Chromecast.

My iMac does not find my wifi printer or my Chromecast. I was able to ping the chrome cast and printer and I'm able to connect to these devices with my windows computer, iPhone and iPad. I have OS X 10.9.2. I'm able to print by setting up the printer using the IP address that was assigned by my router instead of letting my iMac do the finding. It seems that the iMac either does not like the info that is receiving or something is blocking the signal (other than the firewall, which is off). Could someone have an idea what the issue might be?

    Hi MikeMart0923,
If you are having issues adding or connecting to your WiFi printer from your iMac, you may find the following articles helpful (apologies if you have already seen them):

OS X: Connecting a Wi-Fi printer to your Wi-Fi network

Note: This is assuming you have a simple network configuration, with only a single router/WiFi access point.

  • I have an Ipad and Iphone but I don't have an Airprint, only a WIFI printer,my question is if I connect the wifi printer to Airport express, can I print from Ipad and Iphone ?

I have an Ipad and Iphone but I don't have an Airprint at home but only a WIFI printer, my question is if I connect the wifi printer to Airport express, can I print from Ipad and Iphone ? Please help me if anyone knows about this.

Unfortunately, connecting a non-AirPrint-enabled printer to an AirPort base station's USB port will not make it AirPrint-ready.
You will need to use another solution, like Printopia, to be able to print to this printer from an iOS device.

I have set up my airprint wifi printer which works perfectly with the HP eprint app. However, when i view an email and click on the top right arrow button and select "PRINT" on my ipad nothing happens????...
Also, when im viewing websites and i find something i wish to print, same again, if i simply click on the print option at the top right of the screen nothing happens... the only way I can print is if i copy the weblink of the site page then click on my HP eprint app and paste the web link, then select print, it prints off fine.. but its it such a pain to keep copying and pasting links or screen dumping emails just to print...

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app.  I am certain other applications also need this information.  Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information.  Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. Thank you!

  • How can I Print the calendar from iPad with WiFi-Printer?

It's possible to print the calendar from iPad (1) to a WiFi-printer?

I also wish I could print my calendar from my ipad, it's crucial for my business yet they forgot to put a print option????? How hard would it be?? A screen shot doesn't help, on my wifi printer it reduces the image by one third? They say computers make like easier, but do they? We spend so much time just trying to get stuff to work, we can never really do what we need to, without having to talk to seven hundred people to find a hard to work solution.

  • Looking for a WiFi printer that will work with my Nexus WiFi hotspot

On a recommendation, we have bought an Epson NX530 WiFi-enabled printer.  It does not work with the WiFi hotspot feature of my Galaxy Nexus.  The support tech at Epson suggested that we get a WiFi router rather than trying to use the Galaxy Nexus.  I told her that I would rather trash the NX530 and get a printer that would work with my phone.
    So we have 3 questions:
    1) does anyone know how to make an Epson NX530 work via the Galaxy Nexus hotspot?
    2) does anyone know of a different WiFi enabled printer that works with the Galaxy Nexus?
    3) does anyone know if the Galaxy Nexus is inherently unable to work with any WiFi printer?
    Thanks,
    Craig

This website should be able to assist you.  http://www.galaxynexusforum.com/forum/galaxy-nexus-help/8520-wifi-printing.html   I use an app called Printhand from the Google Play Store for my Android tablet and smart phones. I have a Canon  Pixima 3220 that functions great. I also have a higher end HP Envy D410a that also works great with printhand.  The Canon is cheap at BJ's at $40 when I bought it. The HP is about $269 at Staples and other outlets.  Good Luck

  • Samsung WiFi printer can't connect to new Quantum Gateway router?!

We recently replaced our 3-year-old router with the latest Quantum Gateway router and upgraded fios speed from 25/25 to 50/50.
Every device (PC, phones, tablets, and TV) was able to connect to the new network.  BUT, our Samsung Wifi printer (M283x seriers) cannot connect at all.  With the older router, we were able to access the printer thru Wifi network from two different PCs..
We did not relocate the router and we did not move the printer, so singal strength was not the issue.  We even uninstalled and then re-install printer driver to PC to set up the network again.  Tried every connecting option that Samsung had suggested, but everything failed.
We also tried to log in to Router Admin site to add this printer, didn't work.  WPS was turned on and we couldn't figure out why this new network doesn't add the printer. This router did not like our printer.
One funny thing was that if we turned OFF all the security settings, the router allowed this device to connect to WiFi.
Can anyone help?  Thanks a lot!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I have a solution for you.  After upgrading to the Quantum Gateway last week, My Samsung 2835 printer had the same problem. It turns out that the printer doesn't play well with the Quantum Gateway when the Samsung "Wi-Fi Direct" function is enabled.  All you have to do is log in to the printer web page. Then, under Settings--> Network Settings--> Wi-Fi Direct... Turn Wi-Fi Direct off using the drop down menu.  Hit "Apply", then power cycle the printer. After this you can use WPS or manually configure the printer and it will connect right away.  Thank the Verizon technical guy J.W.  for figuring this one out by capturing the Wi-Fi traffic between the Gateway and printer.

  • PC won't ommunnicate with WIFI Printer

I have an HP 5060 J610 WIFI printer tht I have been using frequently. To day the PC won't communicate with the printer, up to and including not allowing me to delete the priner/driver and re-create it.
I can print to the printer from my iPhone, an iOS device, as well as my Nook tablet, an Andriod device. Further, fom the PC, I can point my web browser to the IP address of the Printer and via HP's Embedded Web Service, successfully print to the printer.
In short, there is no problem with the printer. I beleive there is a OS lock on  WIFI port of the PC. FYI - I'm running Windows 8.1.
How can I see/work-with the ports?
    Any suggestions would be helpful.

  • How can I connect the ipad2 to an Epson Stylus SX445W wifi printer?

How can I connect the ipad2 to an Epson Stylus SX445W wifi printer?
Any help appreciated. Obviously I'm not technically minded so simple... Sorry... Very simple instructions would be great. Thanks

Does the iPad come up with a "no AirPrint printers found" message? If so, the most common fault is that the printer isn't on the same WiFi network as the iPad. Your printer may also need a firmware update. Epson has some support information here that may be of help:
