Wifi says unable to connect, will not connect to any connections. I cannot connect to any WiFi. Using iOS 6.0.1

I installed an Extreme in place of an old Express, the various phones and Ipads seem to work on the WiFi but the Mac itself will not connect. It says something about the IP address being used by another device. Second wifi network was also created. The Mac worked for a few minutes and then gaev up citing eth IP problem......any clues people??
If you have not already done so, now would be a good time to perform a complete network power cycle.......to give everything a fresh start.
Power off every device on the network.....computers, printers, hard drives, etc......in any order that you want
Wait a full minute
Start the modem, and let it run by itself for 2-3 minutes
Start the next device connected to the modem and let it run a full minute
Keep starting devices one at a time about a minute apart until the entire network is back up

My ipod touch ios version 6.1.3 will not allow me to connect to my wifi. I tried rebooting my wifi router, refreshing my ipod, resseting the networks and manually logging into my wifi. Sometimes it will go through for a brief moment, but the wifi connection will ultimately disconnect. Each time i try to connect to my wifi afterwards a small pop up will say "Unable to join the network". Please help. it's really annoying and frustrating.

I've restored my ipod both to a backup and back to factory. I know the password is correct,
the router is the newest version (and it's plugged in and on), my ipod is updated, i've turned my wifi settings on and off, i've turned the ipod off and on. No luck yet. I've been working on it for hours now. About ready to sleep on it...maybe some luck will find me tomorrow...

My itouch will not allow me to connect to my wifi. It doesn't even let me get onto my wifi settings. The button is unhighlighted as well therefore it won't even let me fix it or choose a wifi network-any network!!!!!! So i can't access NOTHING!!!! Our other new itouch's work fine (im using one right now lol lol) so it isnt my wifi/router.... My itouch is old lol, I've had it for 4 or 5 years and it's cracked up etc...lol lol. But it still works great, however, it was out of commission for the past 5 months cuz my computer was not working to sync it and it wanted me to "connect to itunes" and i couldnt at the time...(plug it in to sync).... And now my computer and iTunes are working and the itunes software is updated as well. So i have synced my itouch and said itouch is working and restored however it will not allow me to access my wifi settings. The button is unaccessable and unhighlighted as i have stated above already and am in the process of syncing and restoring said itouch again!!! Which should take another full day or two lol lol omg!!!

Recently upgraded Mac OS to 10.5.5 - have an older G4 which is max'd out upgrade-wise - both processor and OS. At present Safari is 3.1.2. Itunes is 9.2.1. Itunes will not allow me to connect to store - says it requires Safari 4.0.3 - however, when I try to download Safari 4.0.3 or newer it says it requires an older version of the OS. What to do?
Update v10.5.5 to v10.5.8
Download and install the combo > Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update
Then restart your Mac.
That should update Safari for you to 5.0.6 and that should help with iTunes.
If necessary, after updating to v10.5.8, you can use the standalone Safari installer here > Safari 5.0.6 for Leopard -

Your MacBook is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.8, which is the minimum required to install the current version of iTunes and sync devices running iOS 7. It doesn't need to be compatible with Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks.

Macbook Pro connects to campus wifi but suddenly Safari/Mozilla will not load anymore.
I've had my MacBook Pro for a while now, it's still running Leopard, but that hasn't been a problem. I woke up yesterday morning and the Airport says its connected to the campus network, but when I open Safari/Mozilla/Mail, it will not load, and eventually says that the server will not respond.
I have connected to this network for over a year with no changes/problems
it literally happened overnight. I left my computer to sleep like I always do and when I woke it up in the morning, the internet wouldn't load.
internet works when I use an Ethernet cable
my roommate is sitting next to me with her newer macbook pro connected to the same network that is fucntioning just fine. So it's not the network (not that I could do anything to it if it was)
I've restarted, turned off Airport and turned it back on, deleted network preferences, put in the exact same IP address that my roommate has (hers is different from mine, but mine will not connect with the one she is connected to)...
HELP?I solved my issue and I believe it was router related. I have a router through Verizon and their Fios service. My router was old so I caled for a replacement. when I received thereplacement I switched it the router to only accept 802.11n and this did the trick. Problem solved, stupid router.

I just got my new Macbook Pro today. When I tried to connect it to my Wi-Fi at home it won't connect. I put in my WEP key correct every time and it keeps saying "Wi-Fi has the self-assigned IP address 169.254.74.157 and will not be able to connect to the internet" . I connect my iPod touch to this same Wi-Fi all the time plus my other laptop and my phone and it works fine. Please help !! I use Verizon Fios modem/router.

Find out the native IP address for your Router & reset the network configs''
Use Keychain Access to Delete all Internet/Router Passwords etc.. Then Roboot.. -

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Wi-Fi has the self-assigned IP address 169.254.197.32 and will not be able to connect to the Internet. How do you conncect the internet? I'm trying to hook up my wi-fi after It got screwed up somehow. Thanks! Greg

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Ipad 1 crashes, if there are over four png files loaded in the same location.
I added a HTML widget in iBooks Author. This includes four transparent pictures, which are loaded over each other. If there are more, then four of them, then ipad 1 just closes the programm. Any ideas?
