Wifi set up help please

I have an 8Gb Ipod touch 2 generation with the latest firmware 3.0.
I also have just set up a new Asus P5Q3 Deluxe WiFi motherboard.
The motherboard comes with Wifi-AP@n which I have installed on my computer. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to WiFi but I chose the security WPA2 and I think my Access Point is now up and running. I wasn't asked at any point during installation to make up a password. All I have is a Network key which i made up.
I am unable to connect my Ipod touch to the wifi connection, using this Network Key. Can anyone help me get this sorted please or tell me what I'm missing please (other than a brain).

Sorry, but I do not agree with you. There are many people with problems with the wifi in home networks. In this forum, as in other sites, I have read several posts with this problem. Moreover, the problem of wireless and OS 3.0 not only affects users of iPod Touch, also affecting the iPhone 3G and 3GS as shown here (only two links but there are many more):

I've tried all suggestions but nothing works for me.
- Restart and reset the iPod
- Reset my network settings
- Use "other network" to log back into my network
- Change my encryption to WPA-psk & WPA2-psk
- Change SSID
- etc...
The “Speedtest” app register below 100 kbps download speed with OS 3, but with 2.2.1 register over 6500 kbps download speed . A few days ago I downgrade to 2.2.1 and now the wifi works perfect!
I am waiting for the official fix to get back to OS 3.

Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Check for Updates “...

Smart Set-up help please

I have just had my new broadband service activated, have downloaded the Smart Set-up Software, gone through the set up and all is working perfectly.
However, I then connected my husband's laptop and my smartphone to the WiFi, only to be greeted with the browser on saying "You are successfull connected to your BT Home Hub, we are going to guide you through a few simple steps to get you set up". It then proceeds to insist I download the software before it will let me connect to anything.
Surely I don't have to go through this process with every piece of equipment I want to use via wifi?
Any help to bypass this would be appreciated.

Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like the iPhone is not receiving some calls. Are you having trouble with visual voicemail? I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

MacBook pro can't find any wifi networks. HELP PLEASE

Ok so my late 2011 MacBook pro15" starTed dropping out of my network every now and then. Rebooting it got it hooked back up again. Now just a few weeks ago its not picking up any real wifi networks (according to my phone and what my computer showed me before there's a bunch in range). It shows this network called setup as the only wifi network in range and when I click on it, there is this little grey picture of a computer where the wifi bars should be.
Xbox, phone and all of the roommates devices are hooked up just fine.
I've taken it out to a couple of coffee shops and its the same thing. Either seeing no networks or that setup thing.
I've tried restarting, verify and repair disk, deleting all of my preferred networks. I don't know what else to do.

Also I've tried to use one of those usb WiFi adapters that essentially bypasses the computers airport card. That shows all the networks in range but will fail to connect to any of them.

Hi randers4, thankyou for your reply but thing is she does have it on because she iMessages a friend daily and it works for them and same with me just not each other. When I have it on also it will say its delivered but she will not receive anything but her SMS still come through. If i didnt have wifi on it would fall back on SMS but seen as i do it says delivered yet she still doesnt receive it. And we have both updated to iOS 5.1. So we can't figure out who the one with the problem is. She says it is mine however I have a feeling it is hers but I don't know hence why I came here. Thanks Kind Regards.

Your system may have a system build that is not qualified, higher build number, than the public update on the software update servers.

I got my artwork and saved it to my Desktop
Opened up Microsoft Paint and clicked on "File" and "Open" and found it to get it on the screen to resize it
Clicked "resize" and a box for changing it opened up
Checked the box "Pixels" and "Unchecked maintain aspect ratio"
Set Horizontal for 640 and Vertical for 480
Clicked on "OK" and went back to "File" and did a "Save As" and chose JPEG Picture
It came up "File Already Existed" and clicked "OK" (really did not care about the original artwork I found because wrong size)
Went to iTunes and on the movie right clicked on "Get Info", clicked on "Details", then "Artwork"
Go to the little box on the top left that shows your old artwork and click on it to get the little blue border to appear around it and hit "Delete" to make it gone
Click on "Add Artwork" and find it where you put the one from above on your Desktop and hit "Open" and OK and your new artwork is now there and all good.
Sounds like a lot of steps to follow but after around 5 or so you will fly through it. This worked perfect on my iPhone 6 Plus and I have artwork on my Home Videos now.

What operating system does your iMac have? (please always post your operating system to prevent confustion).
If it's pre-Lion you will have to set Mail up manually:

Do you mean you want to setup your wife's email account on your iPad? Or something else?

Are you testing in the same room as the TC?
Power cycle the TC.. does it show up now?
Has it ever showed up .. ie is this a problem that just started from an existing setup, or has never worked?
Is the TC new? If old how old?
If you continue to have issues.. setup the TC from iMac and preferably using ethernet.
Change the wireless names to SMB compatible ones, short no spaces, pure alphanumeric.
Use WPA2 Personal security only.
Then set the wireless channels manually.. try 11, 6, 1 for 2.4ghz and try 36 or 40 at 5ghz.
Tell us how that goes.
