Wifi SSID used for install not visible

At Arch install, I could connect to my network (using wifi-menu). After reboot, a scan gives me results, but there is not my ssid.
Following the wiki, those are the command I tried and their result:
# iw dev
phy#0
Interface wlp5s1
ifindex 3
wdev 0x1
addr f8:1a:67:93:0d:53
type managed
# ip link set wlp5s1 up
# ip link show wlp5s1
3: wlp5s1: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/ether f8:1a:67:93:0d:53 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
I tried to scan my SSID (Ploup). The scan gave about 10 results.
# iw dev wlp5s1 scan | grep Ploup
I have reboot on the USB live key to get the netctl config file automatically generated by wifi-menu. Then I have tried to use it to connect.
# netctl start Ploup

    I want to give an iPad to my wife to use for work, but her employer won't let her upgrade her Macbook from Leopard to Lion.  It's pointless if she can't use iCloud.  Is there a workaround?

    So far Apple has not upgraded the other Mac OS X versions to iCloud.  She can manually enter information to be synced in the cloud but that is really tedious.

  • T410 USB camera for Citrix not visible

    I am trying (unsuccessfully) to get a USB camera to redirect to a XenApp desktop using the Citrix receiver 13.0.5 running on a T410 Smzrt Zero Client.
    The camera is visible if I connect to the Citrix server from the T410 using RDP, but using the Citrix Receiver it is not visible.  I can see USB memory sticks under both Citrix and RDP, but the camera only shows under RDP.
    I have tried 2 cameras (both Canon) and neither will work - Canon Powershot G1X and Canon IXUS 130.
    I have checked the Citrix policy for USB redirection and am confident that this is correct as I can connect from a PC running the Citrix client and the USB camera will redirect to the session.  It is just the T410's Citrix receiver that appears to have the issue.
    Please advise .. I've had trouble finding a single definitive resource about connecting and redirecting cameras on the T410 , so hopefully others will benefit from a solution.  This is currently a show stopper for us - we are about to rollout a whole heap of T410's, but can't until this is resolved.

    Yes this is true, but I want a medium res camera that I can send pics from. I have a sony-ericsson w/3.2mp, but I would like an iphone and not take a step backward with camera. 2mp would be fine w/ optical zoom or 3.2mp.
    Also to take a pic transfer it to the phone and send it and do that 10-30 times a day gets old. I do have a digital camera, and that's for taking pictures. I use the phone for taking visual notes and the detail at 10+ meters is somewhat important.
    Also note my 3.2 take much better pics then the iphone the fuzziness occurs with the higher res chips.
    The phone does not replace the camera, laptop, 20mb cable internet, but is a more portable, integrated device. If I wanted a high res picture I have my grandfathers old 8x10 film camera.

  • Modify Transition element in work flow using for and not attributes to restrict access

    Hi,
    I have TFS 2013 for my premises and I am working on changing the work flow for TFS work item. I have created a work item as per requirement and it has 3 states
    Active, In Review and Closed in work flow. When developer creates a work item it is in Active state and later it is sent to In Review and then to close after successful review.
    My question is I want development team to be restricted to move the work item to Close state. At present when developer creates a new work item they see Active state. At this point they can not see any other states in the work item. Later they
    fill the details and after checkin they will put that work item to In Review state. At this point they can see Active and In Review states. When they save this work item and modify it again they see Close state as well. I want to design the Transition element
    in work flow in such a way then developers should not be able to see the Close state at all in a work item assigned to them. Only reviewer should be able to transit the work item from In Review to Close.
    I checked the for and not attributes in the transition element but I have no idea about correct syntax I should use to enforce the restriction. I would also like to mention here that I have no separate groups defined in my TFS server. Every
    one is a part of contributor's group. There is no specific group of reviewers and one developer reviews the code of another. I want to design the work flow in such a way that the developer who creates (or gets assigned) the work item should
    not be able to put their own work item in Close state but they should be able to close another developer's work item if that work item has his name in the reviewer's box.
    I have tried to simplify my question by elaborating it hope it is not complex to understand. Let me know if you want further clarification on this.
    Regards, Premal Acharya

    Hi Premal,
    For your scenario, seems the "for" and "not" attributes not are unavailable to make it happens. Because of the developers not in groups, and the same type of work items can be assigned to all the developers hence the attributes cannot
    be allow and deny users in the groups concurrently. Please check the
    page for more information about transition xml element.
    Based on your situation, you can separate the development group and test group. Then you can only allow test group to change the state.

  • Which operator  should i used for loading not matched records

    HI ALL,
    I am just evluate OWB tools.
    and i met a question.
    I need to join two tables A and B with Condition A.id=B.id
    For example,
    A has 1000 records, and B has 100 records,
    what i need to do is
    (1) to get matched 100 record from B to a new table C,
    (2)to get the not matched 900 records from A to another table D.
    By the requirement like above, which operator could i use for?
    I tried to use joined but can not get the record of (2).
    Thanks for your attention.
    Regards

    Hi,Sutirtha
    Thanks for your attention.
    because joiner has only one output group.
    so what you mean is use joiner operator twice?
    One joiner userd to get the matched records,
    and the other used to get unmatched records?
    Thanks
    Rachel

  • I can only choose a photo from "recently added" to use for wallpaper not "all my photos"

    I can't choose a photo from "all my photos" to use for wallpaper on my iphone , my only option is from "recently added"photos. ?

    Wrong, am able to use old pictures as wall paper.  Open your camera roll - photos - select the pic - hit the up arrow and then use as wall paper
    I just test this from a picture I took in 2005.

  • Deploying servlet on Tomcat using "ant install" not working. Please help.

    Hello. Normally I can find answers by using search, but I can't today for some reason. So please bare with me if this has been mentioned before. I will try to provide as much info as possible so that helping me isn't too much a chore. Thank you.
    I have downloaded and installed the JWSDP 1.3. and Tomcat is running. I am also using Ant 1.5.4 (previous installation - not one included with JWSDP) and modeled my build.xml file after the template provided here:
    http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.0-doc/appdev/build.xml.txt.
    When I run ant on my respository, everything builds fine. But when I run Ant with the install target, I get the following error:
    BUILD FAILED
    file:C:/owl/build.xml:366: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response co
    de: 401 for URL: http://localhost:8080/manager/deploy?path=%2Fowl&war=file%3A%2F
    %2FC%3A%5Cowl%2Fbuild
    Here is line 366 build.xml:
    localWar="file://${build.home}"/>
    ...which is included in this block for the target "install":
    <target name="install" depends="compile"
    description="Install application to servlet container">
    <deploy url="${manager.url}"
    username="${manager.username}"
    password="${manager.password}"
    path="${app.path}"
    localWar="file://${build.home}"/>
    </target>
    When I point my brower to the url located in the error verbose, I get the following:
    FAIL - Encountered exception java.lang.NullPointerException
    I am trying to get my environment set up correctly before I start spending time developing servlets, but I am getting tempted to just develop to servlets and "manually" installing/deploying them either by copying and pasting or by using the Tomcat manager. I would really like to do everything from Ant though if possible. Please help.

    I don't think this is at all correct:
    localWar="file://${build.home}"/>You've got to create a real WAR file - a JAR file with WEB-INF and all its minions inside it:
    http://access1.sun.com/techarticles/simple.WAR.html
    That's the file you need to refer to there. You can manage that with Ant too, of course.
    Here's what my Ant build.xml looks like for Web apps (there's a build-web.properties file that follows):
    build-web.xml

  • NT users used for installing Oracle Apps 11ir3

    Hi,
    I read through the installation manual for Oracle Applications 11iR3 and have made several attempts to install it on NT4. However, I notice the only user account RapidWizard prompts me was the NT account for Concurrent Processing server, which is usually the "applmgr" account. This make me wonder: do we have to have two accounts, one for Oracle DB and the other for Applications on NT? If I only need one, which environment setup file should I run? APPSORA.CMD or <SID>.CMD in ORACLE_HOME?
    Thanks!

    If you are using a separate account for the DB, then yes, you will end up with 2 accounts. Also, by default, the APPSORA.CMD calls the <SID>.CMD so it will not have to be run again.

  • CN41 Customer Fields for WBS not visible in the CN41 report

    Hi,
    I have Done the Below Steps:
    I have done all the Things Below and it is working Also.:
    Create structure CI_PRPS.
    Create enhancement.
    Edit the function exits.
    Maintain the global declarations.
    Design the customer-specific screen.
    Activate the enhancements in CMOD.
    Generate the structures in the Project Information System.
    In CJ20N i have these customer fields as a new Tab and i am also able to save the data in the Database also.
    My problem comes not in transaction execution but in Reporting.
    When i run the Report CN41 the fields which i have added into the PRPS using the Include CI_PRPS is not displayed in the Report.These fields are available in the selection screen but not available in the report when i execute the Report and do choose fields to display collums in the report.
    I am getting these fields in CN43 but not in CN41.
    In CN43 also the Values are comming in ####### but not in correct values.
    Also when i tried to Run the Report RCNCT001 it is asking for the access Key.
    Thanks

  • What is the best ipad app to use for documents/notes

    Hi
    I really want to use my new ipad at work for note taking at meetings, creating to do lists, actions etc, but most of my colleagues use laptops with MS Office (word mostly).
    Does anyone have any recommendations as to whether I could do this, and if I can which app is best? Of course I want to email my colleagues with my notes so they can read them without losing any formatting I do on the ipad....?
    Help would be appreciated...

    If you're about to email them, take notes right there in the 'compose email' function.  That way you can't lose any formatting !  Otherwise the Notes app isn't bad.
    But if you want proper formatting flexibility then you're possibly best off getting a copy of Pages for iOS.  This has lots of formatting flexibililty and exports to Word format.

  • How to adapt function for direct using for IN/NOT IN clause

    Hello
    I have following function:
    create or replace
    function all_userids return UserTypeIDTAB authid definer
    is
    l_emp_tab UserTypeIDTAB := UserTypeIDTAB();
    begin
    for r in (select userid from usertab where userid <=10)
    loop
    l_emp_tab.extend;
    l_emp_tab(l_emp_tab.count) := r.userid;
    end loop;
    return l_emp_tab;
    end;
    where type UserTypeIDTAB was created by following:
    create or replace type UserTypeIDTAB as table of number;
    This function can be called in SQL:
    select * from usertab where userid in (select * from table(all_userids))
    But what I want to achieve is that it will be possible with shorter query like:
    select * from usertab where userid in all_userids
    or
    select * from usertab where userid not in all_userids
    In this case I have got following error:
    00932. 00000 - "inconsistent datatypes: expected %s got %s"
    Is it possible? What must be done for it? What does expect IN/NOT IN clause?
    thanks

    What duplicate? And what would you achieve by "eliminating" this duplicate?The term duplicate by me is following subselect code:
    (SELECT LISTITEMID FROM LISTTAB WHERE LISTID = ?)
    This condition is to big when I set e.g. 100 filters. Therefore I want to replace it with something shorter.There is nothing shorter. In SQL language, you cannot define procedures or functions.
    Putting that SQL statement as a view? That will be of no real benefit in making the statement shorter. There are two approaches. The first one is not very sensible as it does not provide any benefit:
    create or replace view item_list as select item_id from list_tabTo "+pass parameters+" to the view (as you would to a function or a procedure), you need to use predicates. The CBO is clever enough to push these into the actual SQL that defines the view where possible. So using it:
    select item_id from item_list where list_id = 1As you can see - nothing gained as the view SQL looks exactly like the underlying source SQL and the view provides no benefits.
    The second method is to define views per list ID. For example:
    create or replace view item_list_1 as select item_id from list_tab where list_id = 1
    create or replace view item_list_2 as select item_id from list_tab where list_id = 2To use that:
    where  parent_id in (select item_id from item_list_1) and child_id in (select item_id from item_list_2) The predicate now needs not be specified. But you need a view for each unique predicate that would have been used. Perhaps do-able when dealing with a small number of lists - but generally, this approach will not be useful and will require additional maintenance (creating views for new lists, dropping views for lists no longer valid, etc).
    Thus using orignal SQL statement as it is, is IMO correct and should be used like that. And if you have a billion SQL statements that needs to apply that sub-select filter, then yes - you will need to code that SQL as a sub-select a billion times.
    Nothing wrong with that. It is not duplication. And the fact that you cannot create "short cut" code in this case, is simply an issue of how the language is designed.
    In Cobol we need to do this to increment a counter:
    ADD 1 TO COUNTER.
    In PL/SQL:
    cnt := cnt + 1;
    In C/C++:
    i++;
    In Delphi Pascal (generating optimal machine code):
    Inc( cnt );
    Etc.
    It is wrong thinking that because another language allows you to do this by writing a fewer characters less, you now also need to pursue fewer less characters in the current language.
    You need to adhere to the syntax, rules and fundamentals of the language you're using. And in SQL, it is perfectly fine to code that SQL statement, with a different predicate, multiple times. This is simply how the SQL language works.

  • Apple Works Install Issue;"Default location required for install not found"

    I am a new mac user. Just bought a Mac Air. Trying to install Apple Works 6.2.9. I downloaded, but when I try to install, I get a message "The default location required for this install could not be found. This install will be cancelled." Any ideas? Thanks!

    The download isn't the complete application, it's an updater intended to be applied to an installed earlier version. AppleWorks is no longer sold by Apple but may be available on eBay or other retails. It has been 'end-of-lifed' and there is no support for it, however it works well on current Macs.
    However given the situation you are probably better off getting something modern, such as iWork.
