Wifi sync 2 iPhones in one iTunes with different Apple-ID's.

Wifi sync 2 iPhones in one iTunes with different Apple-ID's. My Phone will show up in iTunes, my wife's wont. After plugging my wife's phone into my Win 8.1 pc and check Sync over wifi, I hit the eject button, could this be the reason? Or might it be the different Apple-ID's? If the answer is the first, is there any way tohave iTunes forgetmy wife's phone so I can addit from scratch?

Ello,
I know this, but thats in the past now sadly. The question is: Why wont my wife's iPhone show up in iTunes via wifi?
Is it because I pushed the eject button? And if so, is there any way I can make iTunes forget my wife's iPhone and *** it from scratch again?
Or is it because the phones uses different Apple-ID's?

  • Using devices in one family with different apple ID's

We have a mac that the family and business use under my Apple ID. Recently my husband purchased an iPad Air for our business. He needs the emails to update automatically between the mac and the iPad, so that if an email is replied to, or deleted on the iPad then it will delete on the mac and visa versa. The problem appears to be that the mac is set up under my id and the iPad is set up under his Apple ID.  My questions are these: do both devices have to be logged in with the same id for this to work? If I log out of the mac and log back in using my husbands Id, will I be able to access everything on the mac except iTunes maybe?

  • How do I sync iPhone to new PC with same Apple ID?

    Hello -
I have a new laptop PC and would like to use it with an iPhone 4 that I have had for a year now.  The phone was originally set up using our iMac, but I now would like it to be principally associated with the PC.  I have set up iTunes on the PC to be "authorized" with the Apple ID that the iPhone was associated with.
If I plug the iPhone in to the new PC, given that it will still be associated with the original Apple ID, will I run in to any problems?
Basically, I want the iPhone to remain as is (apps, songs, photos, etc.) but want to use the new PC for backup, sync, etc. from now on.
    THANKS!
    Doug

    Yes.

Yes, but not everything on your iPhone gets backup.

Surely there's a way to do this...  People are regularly replacing their computers and don't have to start all over with their iPhones.
Smart IT administrators make at least 2 backups to minimize lost.
Best for you now is to copy the whole iTunes library over from the old computer.

  • HT5622 can you still share music on itunes with different apple id?  My daughters and I share the same itunes account but . . noticed this is not a good idea.  Both our contacts get merged.  sometimes my pictures end up on their phone!

Is there a way to share the itunes music with different people in your household without having to share the phone contacts?  Do I need to have a different apple id?

It's ok to share the same AppleID for iTunes.  Use Separate ID's for iCloud, iMessage, and Facetime.

  • HT5071 Can more then one person (with different Apple ID's) use the same iBookAuthor Program to Publish (house hold computer)?

I want to publish my fathers books using iBooks Author.  I'm going to set him up with an Apple ID, but he does not have a computer and I will be publishing it from my personal computer.  I have my own Apple ID and wish to publish my own books using the same program on the same computer.  Will this be an issue? or will I be able to switch Apple ID's upon pushing it to pusblish?

I have a free books account and later applied for a paid books account.
This required setting up a new Apple ID and not using the same email or passwords.
So  they are two totally separate accounts - on my computer.
That part is not a problem for you and your father.
The other aspect is both will need to open an iTunes Connect account for each ID.
I dont see delivery as a problem.
The part I am not sure about in your case is iTunes - as I only have me as usuer on the computer its never been an issue, but there is a Family sharing option available.
The previous post is the best starting point as you will both need separate accounts.

  • Can I share my iTunes library between more than one device with different Apple ID's?

I just got a laptop and decided to set up my own Apple account apart from the one my family shares.  I still want a lot of the music on my family account but don't want to buy it all over again.  Is there a way for me to get this music in my new account? If so, how do I do this? I am looking for the best and simplest answer.

Yes, if they are not DRM protected
Open itunes, connect device, select what you want to sync, sync.
DO the same for your other devices.

  • What is best practice for installing husband/wife iPhones on one iTunes account?

Is there a way to install two iPhones (or iPads for that matter) on one iTunes account in order to share apps, music, books, HOWEVER, keep contacts, calendar events, reminders separate?
Goal: I want to have my iPad and iPhone and my wife's iPhone on one iTunes account in order to share apps, music, books, etc.  I also want to backup my contacts, calendar events, reminders in the iCloud so synching across my iDevices and PC is easy and seemless.  How do I keep my contacts/calendar events from synching on her iPhone since they're both located in the same iTunes account?

Yes, you can use two individual Apple IDs for iCloud, iMessage, Facetime, etc. and use the existing iTunes account for setting up iTunes and App Stores to share app and music purchases.
You can set them up on both devices here:
    Individual Apple IDs
    Settings > iCloud
    Settings > Messages
    Settings > Facetime
Shared Apple ID for iTunes and App Store
Settings > iTunes & App Store

  • Ipod and iphone on one itunes? is it possible

i have an iphone and my wife an ipod and want to run them both on one itunes with different music, videos, photos. can i do that? and my boss doesnt want me using itunes at work and my wifes ipod has way different music than i like. any help please

No problems here, just connect them both and tell iTunes which songs/playlists to sync. To do this, just click on the device name and on the right you'll have music, videos, podcasts, etc.
Or you can manually manage, meaning just drag and drop it onto the iPod.
    Hope this helps.

My wife and I share one itunes account with separate libraries. When I sync her iphone in her library, it adds all of my iphone contacts to her contact list. How can we avoid this?

Make groups of contacts in your Address Book and select the option to sync only selected groups to each phone.

  • ITunes sharing among iPhones with different Apple ID's one computer WITHOUT home sharing, shared folder, etc...

I feel like I am losing my mind, here. A few things I want to clear up before you read my question:
No, I am not new to Apple. Yes, I understand that Home Sharing works for any group of devices authrized with my Apple ID. Home Sharing is not my issue.
    1. My wife and I have different iPhones with different Apple IDs.
    2. We only have one computer, on which iTunes is running under my Apple ID.
    3. My iTunes library is far too large to paste into a shared folder. I keep my source folder on a 1TB external hard drive (not enough space on my iMac).
I just want her to be able to plug in and copy music onto her phone from iTunes. Home sharing is great while she's at home on the wifi, but not when she leaves. I created her own user name on my computer, set her iTunes (under her Apple ID) to pull from my library source file, and she can play everything fine, except that she cannot click and drag files onto her phone.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

iTunes Match is associated with one, and only one, iTunes Store Apple ID and country-specific store. The service cannot be shared between Apple IDs.
    Indy Apple Guy wrote:
If we sign up for iTunes with the one account with the majority of the songs, is Home Sharing no longer available to the other two accounts?
Of course it is. iTunes Match has no affect on Home Sharing.
    Indy Apple Guy wrote:
    A.  What happens to the songs on the other two libraries?  Can we never use them?
It is possible to consolidate the tracks from the other iTunes libraries into one and use that for iTunes Match. Make sure the one computer that hosts the library is authorized to play any protected content.
    Indy Apple Guy wrote:
    C.  If we purchase songs/albums while in iTunes Match, and then decide not to use Match in the future, do we lose all our music?
Of course not. Any purchases go to the purchase history for the Apple ID that bought them and as long as the tracks are downloaded and backedup you'll have them as long as you maintain them. Keep in mind that iTunes Match is a service; you don't do anything "in" iTunes Match. It simply "is" in the background.

    D.  If we associate our child's iTouch, will it still keep the parental controls in place so it won't play certain songs that are not appropriate f
Yes, parental controls should continue to work as they have. Although I do not use them, perhaps someone else with experience will weigh in.

  • Syncing 2 iPhones with different Apple ID's on 1 Mac

    Hi,
I want to sync two iPhones 4 with different Apple ID's on one Mac. I want to do this by creating a second iTunes library.
The second iPhone which I want to sync, has already been synced to another pc. I know that when I do this, all music on the iPhone will be erased. That's ok with me. I would like to know what other data on the iPhone will then be erased:
    - Will I be able to transfer the photo's to my new Mac?
    - Will I be able to keep all my contacts?
    - Same for all the installed apps? When I authorise my Mac for the Apple ID which is used with the second iPhone, will I then be able to re-download all my    apps to my Mac?
    - What about my settings on the second iPhone?
    - Will the e-mail accounts be deleted?
Thanks in advance for any answers
    Erwin

Syncing to a new iTunes library will wipe the phone and replace it with media from the new iTunes library.  However, if you carefully follow wjosten's post here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/13356770#13356770 you can migrate to the new computer without losing everything.  (You'll still lose any music and other media not in the new library but you will retain your messages, settings and apps.  Your contacts and calendar will be merged Address Book and iCal on the new computer, however.)  I would suggest that as a safety precaution you use the free app My Contacts Backup to backup your contacts.  This backup is attached to an email that you send to your self, and can be used to re-import your contacts if anything goes wrong.

iTunes only backs up what is on the iPhone. You mean it installs all apps on both devices.
Select the tabs across the top and select what you want to sync to each device.
