Wifi sync help??? Please

Trying to wifi sync my iPad to my iMac but now says the mac is unavailible and will resume when it is available. Need help as some apps are half updated.

Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

I lost my iTunes and all my music when my laptop died, but managed somehow to get it all back onto my new laptop - none of my music is purchased though iTunes but downloaded separately or from CDs. However when I sync my iPod it doesn't actually change anything or add new songs from my iTunes, and playlists on my iPod do not appear in my iTunes. Help please! I've tried manually managing my music and syncing but that doesn't work either, and when I plugging it into my computer it says on the iPod screen that its syncing but it doesn't show that it is in iTunes.

Wifi sync help

I have completed every troubleshooting step for trying to get this to work but my phone never shows up in itunes after I unplug my phone from usb. When I try to plug it to a power source to do automatic sync, it doesn't work. Additionally, wifi sync in the iphone is greyed out when I try to do a manual sync.
I've read a few posts regarding resetting the router and such, the issue is that I'm on a university's wifi and can't reset a router. Does anyone know if the router is the source of the wifi sync issue that so many people seem to have, or is it something else that can be done?
All help is appreciated.

Is that model a wifi printer? As far as I know, there are no kodak printers that are air print enabled. So you have to use a third party helper of some kind.
Look on Kodak's site. They have options for various models. There might be an app that will help, I believe some models also work with google documents.
If none of those work then you can look to third party apps. I have Print n Share and it works with my iPad, but there's also Printopia and Print Central and I'm sure there are others.

I have been told my several different tech support ppl at various stores that I can use my Verizon Mobile Broadband card's WIFI output to print to a wireless printer. Can someone please provide DETAILED instructions on how to do this? I have installed the software but when i try to connect wirelessly it says no network found. Which is true because i of course do NOT have a network. I only have my broadband card and WIFI output....?? It's all new to me so i'm not sure what to do. Thanks in advance!

OK, I think I understand. Normally, one wireless radio can connect to one device at a time. You have two. One is a VPN connection to the Verizon cellular network with a special radio meant for that. The other is a standard wifi radio that is connected to your printer.

I am a bit lost if you have a public wifi why are you using ethernet into the wall.. is the ethernet just for your apartment.
The Express can work as a wireless bridge only to the public Wifi nothing else.. it cannot extend wireless.. so the express would need to plug into another router for you to get more than one single connection to the building.
Also does your public wifi have a login page . .. because that will then make life much harder.

Ipad 2 no longer connects to wifi any help please!

My ipad used to connect to my home wifi but now it recognises it but does not connect (cant open anything internet related). Fritzed on me in the middle of browsing. I have done everything that I found on these and other forums (turning off/on, reset settings, restored it and reset router) yet it still gives me a 169 IP. I have a dynalink router which usually gives a 192 IP. As far as I am aware it was connecting to other networks fine and there are multile other Apple devices (laptops, Iphone, other ipad, itouch) that connect to the same router and are still working fine. I have quite frankly had enough....
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Yes Meherally I tried that earlier today. The router had been off all night and the ipad was the only thing I attempted to connect.
Diavonex , I have rebooted the thing at least 5 times. This has been going on for days.

SYNC HELP please

Yesterday I had to reload windows on my PC. I lost everything. Today my computer is working fine. I have downloaded the latest iTunes, and was ready to sync. When I did, I lost all of the APPS that I had. both purchased and free ones. about 9 pages of Apps. can I undo a sync? or snyc from phone???

Reloading the OS on your computer and then downloading iTunes meant that no information was contained in iTunes on the new computer. Without restoring information from the computer prior to reloading there would be on way to have the information in iTunes prior to syncing. If the information is gone from the iPhone, then it would be difficult to rebuild. The only way to get apps back at this time would be to sign in with your Apple ID, authorize that computer with your iTunes account and then check purchase history. There is an email address that Apple has from the iTunes support page to allow you to email them and describe your problem to see if they can help. Sometimes they will, sometimes not, as it is your responsibility to ensure you have your data backed up.
Good luck.
One other thing would be if you backed up the phone prior to syncing, you could always restore from that backup, however don't let iTunes backup the phone again before doing the restore. You may be able to recover that way.

Sync help please please please

Hi i have bought an classic 80gb 2 weeks ago transferred 1/3 0f my songs
from my creative onto the hard drive as it wouldnt let me do all at once
but when i try to transfer any more music all i get is erase and sync hence
losing any transfer already on the ipod catch22 when i do a diagnostics
check it does not see my ipod but in itunes bryans ipod is there really at
my wits end and am thinking why did i make the move any help would be great

If you want to delete stuff from your computer's hard drive after syncing it to the iPod, you need to set your iPod to manage the iPod content manually.
However, storing music on your iPod and nowhere else is an extremely risky option because when (and not if) there comes a time to restore your iPod, which is a very common fix for iPod problems, then all the music would be erased. If you no longer have the music in iTunes (or any other back up), then all that music would be lost.
At the very least back up your music to either cd or dvd before deleting it, particularly any purchased music/videos, as this would have to be bought again if it were lost. See this about backing up media.

App Syncing help please!

I recently had to reinstall iTunes due to an error that prevented the program from opening. Due to my reinstall, all of my data (play count, playlists, etc.) was deleted. I have synced everything back on to my iPhone except my apps. When I check the "Sync Apps" box, iTunes asks me if I want to sync my apps because they will be deleted and replaced with ones from this computer. However, every app on my iPhone is on my computer. When I re-sync, will iTunes wipe my apps' save data? If yes, is there another way to sync my apps, such as restoring to a recently made backup? Thanks for any help in advance!

Backup manually to your computer and restore from that backup after your phone got wiped.
To back up manually, disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. See what's included in a backup here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766

I am strongly considering to buy an iphone. BUT my parents don't want to pay the 30$$ a month internet so i am buying an iphone off ebay. so my question is, does iphone have FREEE (100% free) wifi? even without the 30$$ data plan ??? please don't answer if your not positive. If you're gonna activate the phone on the AT&T network, you will be required to have the $30 a month data plan, no if's and's or but's, even if you don't sign a two year agreement and instead go month to month. If you try and activate with a pay as you go sim, AT&T will eventually bill you for the data plan as they can tell by the phone's IMEI that its an iphone. ALL iphones on the AT&T network are required to have a data plan. Wifi is wifi, there is no cost to use wifi unless the hotspot owner charges.

IPhone 3G isn't finding my Wifi unless right next to the router. When moved downstairs, it loses connection and is unable to find wifi. Help please?

I phoned Apple and the woman on the phone said to reset the router and modem, done that but I still have the same problem. She also suggested about updating the iPhone 3G, but iTunes is telling me that its software is up to date .... "This version of the iPhone software (4.2.1) is the current version"
My iTunes is also up to date (version 10.6.3.25)
I have also tried resetting the network settings on the phone, turning the WiFi on and off on the phone and turning it on and off (someone said that might have worked)
Has anyone came across this problem before? And if so, how can I fix it?

The problem could be due to a loose antenna but it's impossible to say for sure.
