WiFi Sync stops half way

On top of the more general issues with WiFi sync where stuff just vanishes from iTunes I've also had many instances where my iPhone will just vanish half way through a sync.
I have the phone plugged in, not moving, a full WiFi signal yet I'll get a message in iTunes saying something like 'XYZ could not be copied to your iPhone because it is no longer connected' or something like that.
Sure enough, the iPhone is now vanished from the sidebar.  ARRRRRGGGGGG Soooo many problems with this phone.

I've had this same problem with my iPad. I'm afraid I've lost a significant amount of app data. Any ideas, anyone?

  • Music sync stops half way through "not enough access privilege to complete"

syncing entire music library. it stops halfway through and i get and error message "Attempting to copy to the disk image X Iphone failed. You do not have enough access privilege for this operation"
i close that window and there is another error "iTunes could not copy "X Song" to X iPhone because an unknown error has occurred. (-5000)
Any ideas on how to get this rig running as advertised? Thanks

    Try to Reset the iPad:
From the Home screen double tap the Home button to view the multitasking bar at the bottom. Tap and hold an app at the bottom till the icons wiggle with the minus button visible. Tap the button to close all apps then tap the Home button to get back to the Home page. Press and hold the Sleep button till you see the Slide to power off message and power it off. Once powered down completely press and hold the sleep button till the Apple icon appears.

  • My ipod stops half way through step 1 when I am syncing

I[od touch stops half way through step q which i backing up

I would try moving the existing backup to a safe place since there may be some corruption that is causing the problem.  The backup file is located hre:
The folder where your backup data is stored changes depending on the computer's operating system. Since iTunes only keeps one backup per device, you should ensure the backup folder is included in your periodic data backup routine.
iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
    Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP,  Windows Vista and Windows 7).

  • Home sharing circle stops half way

when I try to homeshare from my itunes library on mac to ipod the little circle loads up halfway in the shared section of the music player on my ipod and goes no further. I've tried redoing it again and again and it does the same thing again and again.
Does anyone have the same problem or have any suggestions why it's doing it or a way around it?
    Thanks

This has been annoying me for ages now. Homesharing not working and the circle stopping half way round. Thankfully I've found a fix after weeks of trawling the web for possible causes.
Shut down iTunes and Music on your device. Then go to System Preferences>Network on your Mac.
Click Wifi on left hand side of the window then click the Advanced button. Choose TCP/IP at top, then click Renew DHCP Lease.
When the IPv4 etc numbers have refreshed click OK and close System Preferences.
    The Homesharing should now work.
The only problem is every time you shut down your Mac Homesharing will not be working again when you next try and you will have to do the above again.
Hopefully Apple will actually do something to remedy this rather than just ignoring thousands of complaints. In the meantime hope the above works for you as well as it has done for me.

Which model MacBook Pro do you have (e.g., "15-inch Late 2011") and which version of OS X are you running?
You may want to try resetting your SMC -> Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC).
If no joy there, call back with th requested information.

    Hello:
I would trot back into the Apple store and have them fix the problem (or call Applecare with a warranty issue).  There is no sense in you wasting your time trying to troubleshoot things on a new computer.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
