Wifi to ipad2 from smartphone

Can I hookup my blackberry 9650 to my ipad2 to get wifi from my phone? What accessories would I need to do this?
Thanks

If your Blackberry can act as a WiFi hotspot for other devices, then you should be able to.
You'd need to consult the manual for your Blackberry to see if it has this feature and how to configure it.

How to share an ibook from my ipad2 to wife's ipad2?

Unless both ipads were set up with the same Apple ID, there really isn't.
This does depend on the app however. I don't read iBooks, but there are some e-reader apps like Kindle that may allow you to 'loan' the book to someone else. Or, using an e-reader app, the book can be 'checked out' of a library that supports downloaded books. You have an account, 'borrow' the file, use an e-reader app to read it, and have a certain time frame in which to finish reading.

    Two things:
    1. Make sure the SIM card is enabled for data.
    2. Make sure you are using the correct APN settings, in Settings - Cellular Data.

I agree with jim, there's no need for all the details.  If the "future ex" is paying the bill, and his name is on the account, then legally, he calls the shots.  If you can't live with the terms, then give him back your phone and your son's, let him decide what to do with those lines.  And do as jim suggested - go get a basic prepaid phone that will keep you connected for minimal (affordable) cost.

  • How do I transfer my account to Ipad2 from IPad1?

I am giving my earlier model IPAD to a friend and want to remove my account info from the old Ipad and transnfer it to the new Ipad2. How do I do this?

the previous answers are accurate, but to make sure everything you want is moved over.
    1. connect your old ipad
    a. in itunes click file - transfer purchases from (name) ipad
a.1.   IF you have not authorised your computer it will ask you to do so, enter itunes user Id, pw, then select authorise.
    b. right click on your ipad's name (under devices on the left column in itunes) and select backup
    c. sync your information (if you havn't allready done so)
    d. here is the choice you have, either select the restore in the summary tab (center of itunes) and restore as new, or select on the ipad (settings - general - reset - reset all settings, then erase content) - make sure to not let it sync after restore by slide to cancel sync.   verify the information is gone by going to the
settings - store - (should be no itunes account showing)
    2. new ipad,  after setting up your wifi or 3g connection which ever applies go to settings - store - sign in.
    a. restore the ipad2 from the backup of the ipad (update if required ipad2 ios version must be same or higher then ipad ios version)
    b. sync your apps/music/itunes content to your device.
    c. verify mail settings/other personal information/configurations
    d. enjoy
    c. also always helpful to make a backup after completing the processes.. just in case

  • Hi, can anyone tell me if I can have more than one iTunes account on the same PC. I've just bought my wife an iPad2 and want to create a separate account for her. Can I do that on the same PC as mine?

Hi, can anyone tell me if I can have more than one iTunes account on the same PC. I've just bought my wife an iPad2 and want to create a separate account for her. Can I do that on the same PC as mine? Thanks.

I would advise that you not set up a second Apple ID. It's really not necessary - having two Apple IDs won't affect how iTunes works with your iPads - and will just complicate matters. Each iPad will be treated independently and can be set to sync only the items you want on that particular iPad. If you really want to keep the two iPads separate, set up different iTunes libraries and have only those items you want on the related iPad in that library, rather than a different Apple ID. If you plan not to use a computer and just download directly to the iPads, you can again choose what apps and content each iPad gets.
But answering your specific question, you can have content from up to five iTunes Store accounts on any one computer or iPad. To create a new iTunes Store account, you'll need a different email address, and from there you just create the account the same way you did the first one.
    Regards.

  • How to sync my wife's iPad2, iTouch

How to sync my wife's iPad2, iTouch (iOS5.1)  & iMac account to Mountain Lion when it was originally sync'd to my account on Loin using my ID?

    Ok, to clarify:
    1. You had the iPad2, iTouch, and iMac account sync'ing on 10.7 Lion under your account?
    2. Now you want change those devices to your wife's Apple ID and maybe a new login account for the wife?
(Did you upgrade from Lion to Mountain Lion on a single iMac that you share?)
    If that's what you meant:
    1. If the devices were activated and sync'd under your Apple ID on your computer then going to a second computer you will receive an error in iTunes about the device being sync'd to a different computer.  You will have to wipe the devices and start over to change that...  You could also end up having Apps installed on the iOS devices some under your AppleID and some under your wife's AppleID.  That can be painful as you need to logout of the App/iTunes stores and switch accounts then update.  You'll see updates available but not be able to update all of them because half are under a different AppleID.
However, it is possible to share an Apple ID for purchases between devices.  I use my AppleID between my work iPad3, iPhone4S, the wife's iPad2 and iPhone4 as well as my Mac's and the wife's iMac.  This way all purchases are made under one account.  I then setup the wife with her own iCloud account while still using my AppleID for the App/iTunes stores.  All she has to know is the password to my account and I think I can trust the wife with that.
Going to need very specific information to provide you the proper course of action to save you time and effort.

Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and antivirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 7.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.
How to Upgrade to iOS 7
The iOS 7.0 update requires around 2.5 GB of storage space, so if your iPad is almost full, you may need to clear up some space. You can check your available space in Settings -> General -> Usage.
There are two ways to upgrade to iOS 7: You can use your Wi-Fi connection, or you can connect your iPad to your PC and update through iTunes. We'll go over each method.
    To upgrade using Wi-Fi:
Note: If your iPad's battery is under 50%, you will want to plug it into your charger while performing the update.
    Go into the iPad's Settings.
Locate and tap "General" from the menu on the left.
The second option from the top is "Software Update". Tap this to move into the update settings.
Tap "Download and Install". This will start the upgrade, which will take several minutes and will reboot your iPad during the process. If the Download and Install button is grayed out, trying clearing up some space. The space required by the update is mostly temporary, so you should gain most of it back after iOS 7 is installed.
Once the update is installed, you may have to run through the initial steps of setting up your iPad again. This is to account for new features and settings.
    To upgrade using iTunes:
First, connect your iPad to your PC or Mac using the cable provided when you purchased your device. This will allow iTunes to communicate with your iPad.
You will also need the latest version of iTunes. Don't worry, you will be prompted to download the latest version when you launch iTunes. Once it installs, you may be asked to setup iCloud by logging into your iTunes account. If you have a Mac, you may be prompted on whether or not you want to enable the Find my Mac feature.
Now you are ready to begin the process:
If you upgraded iTunes earlier, go ahead and launch it. (For many, it will launch automatically when you plug in your iPad.)
Once iTunes is launched, it should automatically detect that a new version of the operating system exists and prompt you to upgrade to it. Choose Cancel. Before updating, you will want to manually sync your iPad to make sure everything is up to date.
After canceling the dialog box, iTunes should automatically sync with your iPad.
If iTunes doesn't automatically sync, you can manually do it by selecting your iPad within iTunes, clicking on the File menu and choosing Sync iPad from the list.
After your iPad has been synced to iTunes, select your iPad within iTunes. You can find it on the left side menu under Devices.
From the iPad screen, click on the Update button.
After verifying that you want to update your iPad, the process will begin. It takes a few minutes to update the operating system during which time your iPad may reboot a few times.
After updating, you may be asked a few questions when your device finally boots back up. This is to account for new settings and features.

    Hello joe2616,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To troubleshoot this issue where your Wi-Fi network is dropping, please follow the directions outlined below.
Symptom: The network connection drops unexpectedly
Your Mac may not not stay connected to your Wi-Fi network reliably.
Your Mac may stop accessing the Internet during use.
    Solution
Use these steps if your computer disconnects from its Wi-Fi network unexpectedly.
Check your range to the Wi-Fi router and reduce the effect of interference.
If your computer is too far from your Wi-Fi router or your environment has too much Wi-Fi interference, then your computer may not detect the Wi-Fi network properly. The easiest way to check for range limits with your Wi-Fi network is to move your computer or your Wi-Fi router closer together and make sure that there are no obstructions (such as walls, cabinets, and so forth) between the router and your computer.See Potential sources of wireless interference for more information about interference and solutions.
Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network. If your computer works fine when connected to a different Wi-Fi network, then the issue may be related to your network router or ISP. In that case, contact the manufacturer of your router or your ISP.

  • How do I load pictures onto my iPad2 from my PC?

I do not have an Apple Store close by and wish I could get someone to sit with me and help me get better acquainted with my iPad2.  I have several questions.
    1.  Can I load pictures onto my iPad2 from my PC?
    2  I don't know how much 3G to get.
    3.  When is the OS5 coming out and will I be able to get rid of my PC?
    4.  Since Apple does not recognize flash player, is there something else?  I cannot do several things (Facebook games, some banking, etc) because of no flash player.
Sorry for all the questions but I don't have anyone to ask.  Thanks for your help.

    1. Yes. Connect to iTunes. Click your iPad2 in the devices tab on the left. Select the photos tab. Enable photo syncing (should be a check box in the top left), and then choose which folders to sync.
    2. Depends on your data usage and if you have your own home wifi network. If the only way you'll connect to the internet is through your iPads 3G, and you don't have a home network that it will connect to, then I'd go for the higher tier plan as 250mb will not get you far. If you spend time at home and have a home wifi network then 250mb might be enough as you would only use it when you're out and about.
    3. iOS is coming out in September. Once you update it you could theoretically get rid of your PC in so much as an iPad on iOS5 doesn't "need" a computer for anything exactly. Again, depends on your home internet situation as updates will happen over Wifi but I don't think they'll happen over 3G.
    4. Many facebook games have app store versions which you download from the app store, sign in with your facebook details and can use that way (farmville, etc). Most banks have an iPad/iPhone friendly website so even if the PC version has flash elements, you'll likely find when you visit them on your iOS device it no longer serves you flash content. For example YouTube is flash by default, but if you visit on an iPad it serves the appropriate HTML5 content. My bank has a fantastic iPhone app so I don't even need to use the website anymore - do some research. For flash video, in the event the website is *only* flash based you can use an app such as the Skyfire web browser (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/skyfire-web-browser/id384941497?mt=8) to get around it. Personally, it very rarely comes up.
    Hope that helps
