Wifi turns off when connected to mobile card, but wont turn back on

I have a Sprint wireless internet card. When I connect to the mobile card, the Wifi radio turns off. I'm fine with it turning off while I'm connected to the mobile card, but the problem is that it wont turn back on when I disconnect the mobile card. If I try to use the button or other basic on/off switches in windows to turn it on, they wont respond. The only way I can get it back on is to run a troubleshoot, which shows that the radio is disabled and asks if I want to apply the fix that will turn it back on.
I'm on a Toshiba Satellite A665-S5170, Windows 7 (64), in the U.S.

So does this also happen if you dont connect the notebook to external monitor? So you can determine what is causing this problem.
If the notebook doesnt shut down without external monitor you should try to update the BIOS and display driver. Both updates you can find on the Toshiba website:

Do you close the lid if you have connected the external monitor?
What OS are you using?
Furthermore it would be interesting to know how you cleaned the notebook. Therefore I use compressed air spray that can blow out the dust from the cooling ventilators and you must not disassemble the notebook.

my packet data doesn't turn off when i connect to WiFi. The H+ keeps showing on the top of the screen even when on WiFi. Now i am not sure if the phone uses packet data or WiFi for surfing. Each time i connect to WiFi i have to manually turn off packet data from settings.. Can someone tell me what this is all about?

MBP crashes (turns off) when connected to projector

When i connect my mbp to my sharp projector using the included adapter the computer just turns off unexpectedly after about 8 seconds or so. Any ideas whats causing this?

I am having a similar problem, when I connect my MacBook Pro to an external projector through the DVI-to-VGA adapter. It will eventually kernel panic and I have to reboot. After rebooting, it will eventually kernel panic again, usually within a few minutes.
This never happened in the same setup with my PowerBook G4.
I hope this is fixed quick, I teach with slides and this makes my new computer unusable.

My Ipad shows the Itunes logo with connecter cord and arrow but wont turn on. How do I fix?

In need of some help, my Ipad turned off two days ago. I pushed the home button and the start to reset. Now it shows the Itunes logo with the connecter cord and an arrow. I plugged it into my PC, and there was an update for my Ipad. Waited the three hours for the update and disconnected hoping that everything was fixed. Would not turn on again so held the start/home and it still shows the Itunes logo, and when I plug it into my PC, Itunes will no longer open. I live three hours away from the nearest Apple store and would like to get it fixed at home if possible.

Did you expect iTunes to start automatically or did you start it yourself? Start iTunes and then connect the iPad.

Monitor turns off when connected to USB or Firewire port

I just purchased a used Mac Mini Core 2 Duo and have a 20" Apple flay display with USB & Firewire ports. When I connect either of the USB or Firewire cables from the display to the Mac Mini, the display goes off. Is this some kind of short? Or is there some setting that causes this?

IPhone 5 turns off when in standby, fully charged. Also turns off and on while in use, especially using FaceTime.

Beeps at startup usually mean an issue with system memory - RAM in other words.
Contact Apple using www.apple.com/support/contact if you are in a country that supports it or call the appropriate phone number on this page. Alternatively carry the MacBook Air in to an Apple retail store or service provider.

How do I make my iPad turn off when the screen is covered?

It's the magnets in the cover which activate the lock/unlock feature to appear in your settings. In earlier iPads you could slide a magnet down the side of the iPad to find where the magnet activates and turn the feature on.....Apple have now changed how this works with the iPad Air. Whereas before there was only 1 magnet positioned in the cover for earlier iPads, it is now thought there are 2 with alternating polarity.
So if you want this feature you will need to buy an Apple cover or wait for third party manufacturers to get their magnets in the correct position.
If you do have a genuine Apple cover then there is something going wrong here....

Wifi turns off when screen turns off

Hi all. I noticed that my wifi turns off when my screen turns off (to save energy) on my brand new rMBP. The mac isn't asleep, just the screen as I have specified in the settings to turn off but the actual laptop is still on. Well when I move the mouse or press a key, the screen naturally comes on right away but I noticed that wifi turns on and reconnected. So if I was streaming music or something, it would stop and disconnect when the screen goes off. Does this make sense?
How do I disable this? I don't want my wifi to turn off at all when my screen turns off. If I'm downloading/streaming or whatever, I want my connection to remain on. Thoughts?

i know there's the option "prevent computer sleeping when screen is off" under power adpter, but i would like it done while running battery.

device gets turned off when using data on mobile... and not responding,i.e., if we hold the power button also there was no response,not getting on... when I connect it to charger,after 10min it gets automatically turning on.otherwise no chance to use the device..sometimes it gets off at 25%, sometimes at even 72% battery...seems it might be a severe problem..please suggest a solution..

Update to the latest version of iTunes. Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) users may need to download iTunes 10.6.3.
Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, followTroubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again

Wifi automatically turned off when phone sleeps in iOS 5.1.1?

Before, I used iOS 5.0.1 and wifi would keep turned on when the phone sleeps if I turn off data. This way I could always receive instant notifications. But then I sold the verizon phone and bought a used FU one, installed with iOS 5.1.1. Now wifi is automatically turned off when phone the sleeps, even when data is off. Is this how it works? Because I want to use wifi, even when the phone is off. Thanks.

I have had and iphone 4 for the last couple of years with all the different IOS upgrades and never experienced such a thing!? I do not have a cell data plan (I even have it switched of in settings) so I rely on wifi and, even when the phone was in standby, the wifi was constantly on! and I received e-mails and skype calls as they arrived, So wifi was certainly ON!
However, since the last upgrade to IOS 6.0 the wifi is indeed being turned off when the phone goes to sleep mode, which is very annoying!
Any fix/workaround?

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.
