Wii to new HDTV help

Hi there
I recently bought a new Toshiba 32BV502B and wanted to connect my Wii to it.
The scart cable provided made the picture terrible, so I thought I'd get one of these:

but I can't find anywhere to plug it into.
Is there any way of connecting this to the TV?

The only component input on your TV is through the RGB computer input, so you need a Wii-to-RGB cable.
The Wii is capable of 480p resolution and, while not HD, it will look noticeably better through VGA than RCA or S-Video.
If your already using the RGB port for a computer, this should work (but costs more) -

This lets you plug your SCART cable in one side and ouputs HDMI on the other. You also have to plug in a DC converter.

I have an old Creative 5.1 speaker system that I want to connect to my new HDTV, and I am not sure how to do it in a way that preserves the 5.1 surround sound.
My new TV only has two options for audio out:
1. Optical/TOSLINK
2. 3.5 mm jack (labeled "headphones")
My speaker system has three options for input:

2. 9-pin DIN

Which Adaptors/Cords do I need to hook my mid-2010 Macbook Pro into my new HDTV?

I heard they changed the port (to include audio as well as video) after my model and I want to make sure I order the right adaptors so I can hook my macbook into my new HDTVs HDMI port.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

I don't know that it will carry audio on a mid-2010, but for less than $7 you can try this adapter from Monoprice.
Worked great on my late 2011. Should work for you.

There is no plus sign and going into optins and changing settings has not worked. I have uninstall FF and reinstall-keeping my personalization-and that was no help.
Right clicking on FF Icon to open a new tab, or going up to FF drop down tab and clicking on new tab both do not work.
Help everything opens a new window not a new tab. there seems to be no way to reset this or to chose a different optin. I just downloaded new tabs at end addon and it didn't do a thing.

as a first troubleshooting step - does it work like normally when you open & run firefox in [[Safe Mode|safemode]] by pressing the shift key while you open firefox (all other instances have to be closed before)...

PIP with new HDTVs

I notice now that hardly any of the new flat panel TVs have PIP option anymore (Picture in Picture.) I am trying to get my dad a new HDTV and he is addicted to it. Is there a way to run PIP through a VCR or DVD player? Or does the TV have to support that option to get it? Thanks for any advice here.

In my case, it is supported through my cable box (Scientific Atlanta 8300HD on Oceanic Cable). Contact your dads service provider and see if it is supported through their hardware.

Definition of new search help in report RFBILA00

I have created a new search help which I would like to include in the selection screen of the report RFBILA00.
Does anyone know how to include a new search help in this report which can be used in the screen "Dynamic selections"?

Try by extending collective search helps - like SAKO for SKA1-SAKNR - by appending your custom search help.
Then I think when you select GL Account description in chart or accounts it will call your custom search help inside it.

How did you "move everything" over?
Migration assistance does not handle the iPhoto library well sometimes - the best way is to drag the bad iphoto library from the pictures folder on the new system to the desktop, connect the two systems together (network, firewire target mode, etc) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old system to the pictures folder of the new system and launch iPhoto on the new system - it will open and convert the iPhoto library as necessary and you will be fine - once you test the iPhoto library you can delete the one on the desktop

You can get Leopard 10.5 by calling the Apple Online store.
Tell them you purchased a new iPhone and need 10.5 because you have a PPC Mac and cannnot run 10.6..

Buying new HDTV but don't want lag while gaming

Hi all.
So I'm getting a new HDTV soon, and I want to connect my ps3 and xbox 360 to it. I'm getting the LG 47LH90 (47" 1080p 240 Hz) and I'm getting the Monster Cable HDMI 114013-00
(THX 1000) for my ps3 to play movies and such. Thing is, I also want to try Halo 3 online on the TV (I've heard playing Halo on bigger TV's is bad for your aim but I at least want to try).
So my question is will this HDMI cable I'm getting give me any screen lag while trying to play Halo? (Yes, I have an elite so the 360 has an HDMI port) I've heard people say that VGA cables are also good but if this HDMI cable I have works I want to know if I'll be able to use that so I don't have to buy another cable for nothing. If you are gonna use an HDTV, you will have to accept lag. Your best bet is to go with a 60hz LCD or plasma, which you can easily still get. None of that 120hz nonsense. But, what you can do is get any ole HDTV and use the Microsoft VGA cable instead of the HDMI. That will do a lot to reduce your lag to the minimal amount because HDTVs don't use image processing on VGA signals and the newer TVs actually support full 1080p over VGA. Your milage will vary though and you should check the manual of any TV you are considering in order to see what resolutions it supports over VGA so you don't make a blind-buy of the wrong thing.

Your video is encoded in a format that PS doesn't understand. It's as easy as that. AVIs are just containers that can contain a multitude of different CoDecs and settings. You will have to do some reading up on that matter and then use external programs like VirtualDub, MPEGStreamclip and otehrs to convert your file to something PS understands - if that realyl is what you need. Otehrwise simply move on to "real" video editing apps that can handle all that much better.

If you are unable to get to the screen that allows you to enter your password on your Apple TV, you may want to first try restarting the Apple TV. Use the steps in this aricle -

New Search help - Cloning DEBIX

Hi I need to create a new search help which will be a clone of standard search help DEBIX. I have to add two new feilds to the DEBIX which will be STR_SUPPL3(street 4) and LOCATION (street 5). When I copied this particualr search help and added the two fields in it , it dosent seem to allow me to get a new selection screen for it and it gives the same selection screen as DEBIX without addition of these two fields where I can input some value. I did add those two fields to my list of fields that I want on my selection yet it gives me a selection screen similar to debix. Then I tried using a database view instaed of teh search help exit used in it , this works but this made the search help case-sensitive which I dont want .
Can you please advice or suggest what I need to do so that I get a screen with fields that I want and its case-insensitiuve.
Help will be greatly appreciated.

Thats right Greg < i have done exactly that way . I created a Z search help with same fields as DEBIX , added my two extra fields , removed the search help exit , created a new Z view table included those two fields there and then added this new search help in DEBI and assigned the parameters , its working fine , but as I said its case-sensitive , I want to make it case-insensitive , so that it goes by the word and not by its cases.
Please suggest as what needs to be done to accomplish this .
