[wiki] Request to add i18n link on protected pages

Hi wiki admins,
I and the others requested to add the i18n link on protected pages (Main page, Arch Linix, and The Arch Way). Please see each discussion pages.
I already sent a mail about it to two admins but not done yet
Could someone do them?

I'm Korean, and I also request to generae i18n links on protected pages.
1. Main_Page (i18n navigation links at the top and links "In Your Language" section at the bottom)

To add a new link on the left nav:
You can go to site settings> navigation> add a link under "current navigation".
For the second requirement:
You can create a "links" list and add it to that second page. This way you can have that "Add Links" option and add links.

How to add a link to another page

Hello,
I am new to Adobe Designer 7.0, I'm liking it so far, I had a question though, I was wondering how I could make a link from one page to another. For instance, I want to have a table of contents and I want the user to be able to click on the word whatever that may be and for it to go to the page which they chose.

Mac, the best way to do this is use a Button and change it to look like a hyperlink (color, etc.). Add a setFocus JavaScript on the Click event to a field on the page you want it to go to; e.g.,
xfa.host.setFocus("Page3.TextField1");
If there is not a field on the page, make a hidden field for it to jump to.

Need to Add Help links to ESS pages

Hello,
I have a requirement to add helps links to ESS services like address etc.
The services have the roadmap element. Is it possible to add the link besides the roadmap element and right aligned?
Which component should the link be added to?
Is it possible that all the personal info services will have the link pointing to respective URLs?
I figured that I might have to change the sap.compcui_gpxssutils DC. Am I right?
But here I face a problem, that the DC is not modifiable in the DTR.
Please let me know your suggestions.

Hi,
In Homepage Framework for ESS, there is a help service with every service. Check if this will help you.
You can create a service as a help service. EIC_SERVICE_REQUEST is an example of help service provided by SAP. Then you can configure this help service to any service you want. This way you can provide access to help informationm without changing the code.
To create your own help service, you can upload the help documents(say HTML) in portal KM repository. Create a KM document iView for the document. Create a page out of the iView and configure the PCD path of the page in the Hompageframework service.

I want to put a link to my podcast on a regular HTML page. I want my users to be able to click it and have the link redirect to iTunes on their computer and have it download there. How do I do that?

I figured it out. I neglected to say that the podcast was from iWeb.

SharePoint 2010 document library - Add a link that points to a page

A department has created a document library. Now, they would like to have a link visible in that library that points to another .aspx page. Is that possible?
I've seen how to add a "link to a document", but I want to add a link to a page, not a document.

I tried the "Link to a document" content type suggestion, but I'm not sure if there's something missing from our SharePoint installation, or if something is different with our template.docx file, or if SharePoint 2010 is playing strangely with
Office 2013, but after I added the "Link to a document" content type and chose it from the New Document drop-down, it wants to auto-launch Word 2013 with no dialogue for adding a URL.
However, once in Word, there are a couple of boxes just above the content area to type a URL and a description (screenshot below). I pasted the URL to the page in the URL box, left the description and content area blank, then saved the file back
to the library. However, when you click on the document in the library, it simply wants to open Word without going to the link.

Can't Add a Link in an Editable Region

I am currently trying to edit the pages of a website for a
client. When I click on Edit Page, I can add/delete/change text on
the page but when I try to add a link within the same section of
the page I get an error that reads "You cannot perform this action
in this region of the page". I asked one of the graphic designers
why this may be occuring and he said he was unsure since he looked
at the source code and the section in question is indeed editable.
Can anyone please shed some light on why this may be happening so
we can change the coding so I am able to add a link to these
pages.

Add extra link to Go Shopping screen

Hi Guys.
SRM 4.0, server 5.0, standalone ITS.
Is there an easy way to add an extra transaction/link to the basic screen of SRM? I am thinking the template
bbpstart/99/bbpglobal_650.html
This is for example the first screen in my SRM, and I also need the function "Process Purchase order" to appear on this screen along with Go Shopping, Goods Receipt, Status etc.
Is the only way to do this by changing the web template through SE80?

Contribute CS4 stops responding every time I try to add a link

I recently had to re-install Contribute CS4 when I updated to a new computer and operating system (now on Windows 7). Now, Contribute seems to work fine - until I try to add a link on any page I am editing. Whenever I select the Link button, Contribute will stop responding and will force the software to shut down. Please advise!

Please try below steps and check if it works for you :
Close contribute.
Go to : C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Adobe and rename "Contribute CS4" to "Contribute CS4_old".
Go to : C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe and rename "CS4ServiceManager" to "CS4ServiceManager_old"
Launch contribute and try again.
In case the above does not work then try reinstalling contribute or try recreating the connection.

Links in each page of a large document

I have a 350+ pages PDF document and would like to add a link to the TOC in each page. Obviously not one by one because this would take a lot of work/time.
I thought to use a general header or footer with the linked text. But I don't know how to put linked text in a header/footer. Can this be done?
Is there any other way you know to easily add a link to all pages of a large document?

Another way is to put your link in a button: buttons can be duplicated to all (or a range) of pages. If you don't like a button that 'looks like a button' just use 'no border, no fill', or even an icon to customise it.

According to http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW73EHP1/SPS14/CE/wdr/com.sap.wdr/index.html there are only two types of scopes APPLICATION_SCOPE and TASK_SCOPE.
My guess is that they both rely on browser cache somehow.

I found Template:Note have traditional page Template:Note (正體中文), but there's no link in english page. Can someone do this ?

Hi, I've added the link. The best place to discuss the wiki is using discussion pages in the wiki, for example Template talk:Note (if the discussion page doesn't exist you can create it). You can also read Help:Discussion.

How do I add a link to an attachment graphic that appears on the page?

I'm trying to add a link to twitter on the page, such that the user from the wiki will click on the the twitter icon and it will go to the twitter page so they can follow it.
This is what I tried:
uploaded the twitter icon as an attachment.
Tried inserting the attachment with a link with this:

I think looked at the notation and tried to use this example, but couldn't figure out about the coordinates that are required:
