Wiki Server Users & Groups

Simple question: It looks like the permissions settings for a wiki are wiki-wide, is that right? I need to restrict write-access to certain sections of my wiki to certain groups, but it looks like I'll have to make a separate wikis, each with it's own permission settings. Or am I missing something?
Thanks.

I have not dug too far into this but I believe you are correct. Any member of the group can edit that group's wiki. Non-members can post comments if you allow it.
You may be able to do something with realms or groups. You may be able to create a "special" wiki edit group and but just those users who need the edit permission.

  • Oracle Application server User group

    Can somebody know of a users group for Oracle Application Server in Chicago land area (Naperville to be precise).
    Thanks
    Rashid

    check the script to start the iAS is having a variable called FORMS_PATH . If yes modify this. Also do an echo $FORMS_PATH after setting this.
    Otherwise you can edit the profile or script which sets the ias env variable with FORMS_PATH.
    Also check the value in the default.env which can be found in ORACLE_HOME/forms/server

  • Cannot select Wiki server for Group in 10.5.8 WGM

    I have a server with a number of wikis that were created under the server's main site, i.e. apache virtual host (i.e.: fqdn of the server).
    In addition, I had one wiki that was created under a second site (virtualhost) in order to hide it from the publicly accessible list of available wikis under 10.5.x (http://server.domain.com/groups/).
    This wiki does still exist - the folder and wiki pages are all there under /Library/Collaboration/Groups/ but it won't show up under its own site or the main site.
    In addition, when I select a site as the collaboration server for a particular group inside WorkGroupManager, my selection doesn't stick - the servername is greyed out. However working wiki groups will continue to work, but I cannot re-bind that single wiki group to its site.
    I know there are some changes in 10.5.8, probably in transition to 10.6 server, regarding the usage of the ServiceLocactor LDAP group attribute. I don't think I have seen a similar problem in OSXS 10.5.7 or earlier. Has anyone else run into this?

    After more oddities, I believe to have it fixed.
    Deleting and re-creating the Sites in ServerAdmin did make the hosted sites selectable as wiki servers, however the choice didn't stick.
    The system log gave me this at every save operation in the Web Services Module in ServerAdmin:
    <pre>servermgr_web: Failure saving group services update</pre>
    I believe the Global UID of the webservices in the server's apple-serviceinfo LDAP attribute was never updated from a move of the server to newer hardware and an OD merge operation.
    I am not sure which of my actions lead to success and I am not free to experiment, but here is what I did:
    Upgraded apache from v.1.3 to v.2.2 in the WebServices Module
    Located the apple-serviceinfo attribute for the $FQDN using Inspector in WorkGroupManager
    located a custom port assignment (8008 for an old virtualhost) and changed it to 80
    deleted all virtualhosts in ServerAdmin
    recreated all virtualhosts in ServerAdmin using FQDN in servername and description
    enabled Collaboration Services on all virtualhosts
    Re-enabled the new virtualhosts as wikiservers for their respective groups
    The auto-created GUID (global identifier) of the server is:
    <pre>1F72EE26-32FA-4DC4-921D-13561C188C63</pre>
    The auto-created GUID (global identifier) in the server's serviceinfo entry (part of section for virtualhost shown) is now:
    <pre>
    <key>9EC33DDF-FDEG-4444-8090-B8B559EE2042</key>
    <dict>
    <key>hostDescription</key>
    <string>server.domain.net</string>
    <key>hostDetails</key>
    </pre>
    This corresponds exactly to one ServicesLocator entry of that group:
    <pre>1F72EE26-32FA-4DC4-921D-13561C188C63:9EC33DDF-FDEG-4444-8090-B8B559EE2042:w iki
    ServerGUID:VirtualhostGUID:servicename</pre>

  • How? Add 'wiki server' user authentication to top level of site?

    Hi All,
    I would like to move the user login feature found in the Wiki & Blog pages out to the main page.
    It seems to be a CSS/JavaScript function build in the pages, but has anyone managed to make the feature on the main (/) page or the top level Wiki (/groups) pages?

    Hi,
    From your description, I know you want to use calendar overlay with exchange online in SharePoint online.
    I reproduce your issue, and it throws the same exception to yours. I try to find some information for you, I find that the feature is not available from this article:
    http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/148/t/221842.aspx.
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • Manually augmenting users/groups for wiki server.

    can someone tell me what a group looks like after its been augmented for use by wiki server? i need to manually change this because i need leopard installed in advanced mode and i also need to use my tiger OD server as my OD server NOT leopard. what i am trying to do is unsupported, i know, but i don't care if i have to write lines of code for every user, i just need to get it done.
    is anyone else out there dealing with this?

    Hi
    You could have tried this yourself however what follows takes all of 10-15 seconds and should give you pretty much anything you want:
    dscl
    list
    cd LDAPv3
    list
    cd IPaddress or FQDN of your LDAP Server
    You should now see something like this:
    AccessControls
    AutoServerSetup
    CertificateAuthorities
    ComputerLists
    Computers
    Config
    FileMakerServers
    Groups
    Locations
    Machines
    Mounts
    Neighborhoods
    People
    PresetComputerLists
    PresetGroups
    PresetUsers
    Printers
    Users
    cd Users
    list
    You should now see something like this:
    diradmin
    root
    user1
    user10
    user2
    user3
    user4
    user5
    user6
    user7
    user8
    user9
    vpn_73565997fb81
    Follow this with read followed by the the name of the user you are interested in. eg:
    read user1
    You should now see a whole raft of information some of which will look like this:
    NFSHomeDirectory: /Network/Servers/serverfqdn/Volumes/HardDrive/Users/user1
    Password: ******
    PhoneNumber: 12345 678901
    Picture: /Library/User Pictures/Nature/Cactus.tif
    PostalCode: NG16 2DQ
    PrimaryGroupID: 20
    RealName: User1
    RecordName: user1 User1
    RecordType: dsRecTypeStandard:Users
    State: addressinfo
    Street: addressinfo
    UniqueID: 1025
    UserShell: /bin/bash
    As you can see you get the UID number as well as the GUID. Does this answer your post?
    Tony

  • How can I give administration permissions to a specific user+group on wiki?

    How do I give administration capabilities to a specific user for only ONE specific group on my wiki server, not all of them.
    Anyone know the simplest way to do this?

    Really all I'm looking to do is to keep my web site exactly the same but limit the reading and writing capabilities of some users on specific groups/wiki pages/blogs but still allow them to read and write to other specific ones that somehow I would designate.
    For example: I'm setting up a group for multiple users (about 15), and they each have their own page within that group, however i want to give them very limited administration capabilities on the site, all I want them to be able to do is to edit their own page, NOTHING else in the group
    there's gotta be a way to do this without 3rd party software installation that seems complicated enough on it's own, isn't administration capabilities a fundamental part of wikis?
    Someone has to have gone through something similar, any help?

    Clear text authentication must first be enabled for both Wiki and iCal in order for certain functionality to work in the OD/AD config. So there are a couple of workarounds that must be applied.
    For Wiki, there is a KBase article that provides instructions and background info on this subject:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article?artnum=306750
    For iCal, you must edit the caldavd.plist file for the following:
    <key>Authentication</key>
    <dict>
    <key>Basic</key>
    <dict>
    <key>Enabled</key>
    <false/> <----- change to true
    </dict>
    <key>Digest</key>
    <dict>
    <key>Algorithm</key>
    <string>md5</string>
    <key>Enabled</key>
    <true/> <---------- change to false
    <key>Qop</key>
    <string></string>
    </dict>
    <key>Kerberos</key>
    <dict>
    <key>Enabled</key>
    <true/>
    <key>ServicePrincipal</key>
    <string></string>
    </dict>
    </dict>

  • Server App not seeing external LDAP users & groups

    I have a clean 10.8.2 + Server install set up with our standard external LDAP directory (Novell's eDirectory in our case) configuration that is known to support Lion & Mountain Lion client LDAP authentication. With this same configuration on OS X 10.8.2 Server both Directory Utility and WGM can see all the LDAP users and groups as expected.
    When I look for the external users & groups in the LDAP domain under the Server App "Accounts" heading I cannot see any entries in either users or groups lists. Should I be able to or is this a Server App quirk?
    I can add individual LDAP users to a local group and enable access to individual services. How can I give access to services to all LDAP users without having to build & maintain a massive "All LDAP Users" local group?
    Is there a published list of required LDAP attributes for users & groups for Mountain Lion Server? I suspect there are new requirements over and above those for 10.6 server but I have failed to find a good reference. I've noticed I get different behaviours for LDAP templates that includes a mapping for GeneratedUID to one which does not for example.
    This is all so much more opaque than our superbly reliable Snow Leopard servers!
    TIA

    Ok, and again:
    You want to see Users and Groups , which are stored in an third Party directory service like OpenLDAP, in your Server.app? This is what you have to do:
    Connect the third party ldap to your server
    Have all your external LDAP entries made so you can see them in the Workgroup Manager and are able to Login with them
    When you see your LDAP-entry in the Directory Manager, change it from "From Server" to "RFC2307"
    Edit the entry, add the following mapping to it:GeneratedUUID maps to apple-generateduuid
    To your group and user entries in the external LDAP add the follwing attribute:apple-generateduuid gets the value taken from the output of "uuidgen"
    Feel lucky
    And there ist ist; now you are able to use The accounts taken from an external LDAP.

  • Mac os x wiki server can't authenticate user password from active directory recently after we upgraded to windows 2008 server.

    after upgraded to windows 2008 server, our  mac os x wiki server can't authenticate user password anymore. How can I re-bind the wiki server to the AD again? thanks in advance.

    Solved it by deleting the user and creating a new one with the same userID.
    Maybe it occured because I marked the "user has to change password after first login" box when resetting the password but didn't yet allow him to do so in the webpages menu?!?

    Hi all
    I am having a problem trying to configure the Directory Server (5.2) for Messaging Server.

    Server 1 - Access Manager (formerly Identity Server)

    Hi
    Thanks for your reply!
    I did mis-type, my mistake - sorry about that.
    If I dont over-ride the default it works, I've pretty much got the whole setup working now but I'm not particularly over the moon about the way the ldap tree is setup, I'd like finer granuality as we are going to attempt to get syncronization working with AD.
    I have an idea about how I'd like to set up our Mail/Calendar/LDAP infrastructure the 2nd time around (I'm just testing at the mo) - so I might have a question or two for you if you dont mind taking a look when you have a minute?

  • SQL Server 2012 Reporting Server Default USER group instance missing

    Hi
    We have installed SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 on Windows 2012 Server and we can’t see any SSRS default group on windows server group list say something like (SQLServerReportServerUser$TestServer$MSRS11_50.MSSQLSERVER)
    created as part of the installation
    we are migrating SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2012, we were able to see default group for Reporting Server has been created in the earlier versions like SQLServerReportServerUser$TestServer$MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER
    Can you please assist whether we are missing anything in the SQL Server 2012 installation, this needs to be fixed as part of Report server user authentication
    Thanks,
    Harish

  • Project Server 2013 SSRS reports by logged in user group

    Hi All,
    We are using project server 2013. We have developed SSRS report. We need to display the projects based on the logged in user security group(e.g Project Manager, Administrator etc.) I tried with the below query got from a forums. But it is not working. Is
    there is any way to get the security group of the logged in user using SQL query.
    SELECT     MSP_WEB_SECURITY_GROUPS.WSEC_GRP_NAME, MSP_WEB_RESOURCES.RES_NAME
    FROM         MSP_WEB_SECURITY_GROUP_MEMBERS INNER JOIN
                          MSP_WEB_RESOURCES ON MSP_WEB_SECURITY_GROUP_MEMBERS.WRES_GUID = MSP_WEB_RESOURCES.WRES_GUID RIGHT OUTER JOIN
                          MSP_WEB_SECURITY_GROUPS ON
                          MSP_WEB_SECURITY_GROUP_MEMBERS.WSEC_GRP_GUID = MSP_WEB_SECURITY_GROUPS.WSEC_GRP_GUID
    Thanks in advance, Taj

    Taj,
    The query above gives you a complete list of user groups and users. It does not filter by resource name/group.
    You can get the logged in user using the "USer Filter" webpart, on which the SSRS report is being displayed (assuming you are displaying it on a SharePoint page).  You will need to pass this as a parameter into your SSRS report.

  • Is it possible to map a Sponsor Group in Cisco ISE to a user group in Active Directory, through a RADIUS server?

    Hi!!
    We are working on a mapping between a Sponsor Group in Cisco ISE and a user group in Active Directory....but the client wants the mapping to be through a RADIUS SERVER, for avoiding ISE querying directly the Active Directory.
    I know it is possible to use a RADIUS SERVER as an external identity source for ISE.....but, is it possible to use this RADIUS SERVER for this sponsor group handling?
    Thanks and regards!!

    Yes It is possible to map Sponser group to user group in AD and if you want to know how to do please open the below link and go to Mapping Active Directory Groups to Sponsor Groups heading.
