Wild search

hi,
i have a report which has an output of
cost center, profit center,planed value, actual value
the input is cost center/profit center
and if i do a wild card search in input screen how will i get the desired results
lets say i search in for "abc" i need to get list of records with abc.
How do i accomplish this in BO.

Hi Experts,
I have a query where I need to filter based on data that may be contained in the object (data is free form text). How do I put that into either a variable or defualt value?
Example -

Contains: DE
Result:

Thanks for the answers but it doesn't seem to be working. We are on BI 7.0. When I choose the Selection Option and then either enter in 1*** into the selection screen or in the default entry I get an error. I don't see a 'contains pattern' either. Do I need to use another symbol?

Cost Center and G/L account search help not working

Hi Gurus,
I am facing a problem with the search help button for cost assignment in Shop screen.
When I press the search button for cost center, there is no new screen coming up asking me the search criteria to be given as input. Same is the problem when I search for G/L accounts.
I have defined the backend RFC user as dialog user and also defined the RFC(dialog) in the SRM system for the backend RFC.
My user id has authorization object M_BBP_SHLP in my profile.
What may be the reason for this issue?
Note: I am currently using SRM5.0 system with backend R/3 4.7 version. This SRM system is already connected to another backend system ECC6.0, and the search help is working fine for those users.
Pls. guide me on how to resolve this issue.

Hi Ancy,
Don't give wild search. Give some words following with * like "UK*" lists all the UK Cost centers. For the G/L accounts: G/L Accounts will get updated in the SC automatically depend upon the product category what you have selected.
Check the configuration Cross Application Basic settings->Account Assignment ->Define G/L Account for the product category.
If you have maintained the configuration for the paritcular G/L Account and Product cateogyr then when G/L Account is updated automatically in the SC (Depend upon this configuration)

Search not returning some documents from document library

I have a situation where I have five documents in DL,While searching I was not able to find one of the document.
1440-20-IC-DG-6011.dwg is the document which does not came in search.
If search as
'1440-20-IC', It came.
'1440-20-IC-DG' or '1440-20-IC-DG-6011', It doesn't.
'1440-20-IC-DG-6011.dwg' or '1440-20-IC-DG-6011*', it came.

According to your description, my understanding is that you cannot search the document when searching with ‘1440-20-IC-DG-6011’.
Was this document a .dwg file and was the name of the document ‘1440-20-IC-DG-6011’?
If yes, when we search with ‘1440-20-IC-DG-6011’, the document will appear in the search result; but if we search with ‘1440-20-IC-DG-6011.dwg’, it will not display in the search result.
I recommend to upload a new document with a similar name to see how the search works.
I tested the same scenario in my environment, if I searched with ‘1440-20-IC’ or
‘1440-20-IC-DG-6011’, it will appear in search result; if I searched with ‘1440-20-IC-DG’ or
‘1440-20-IC-DG-6011.dwg’, it will not appear in search result. Per my test, SharePoint will extract the first three part which is connected with ‘-’ and the full name of the document
as indexes, then when we search with ‘1440-20-IC’ or ‘1440-20-IC-DG-6011’, the document will appear in search result.
The '*' is used as wild search in SharePoint, when the string before '*' matches, no matter what the following part is the document will display in the search result.

Wild Card Selection in BEX

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to use the wild cards in Query in the selection screen . I have created a variable of type " Selection Option ".
Now when I execute the report it is giving a box before the input box, and when I select * from that box and executing the query, I am not getting the required results.
From ex: when i give : G19 in input box with * in the box before the input box , it is displaying as "No Applicable Data Found. " , even though data is present for G197.
Can some one explain me how to use wild cards in query.

Searching not possible

We are in SRM 3.0 and ECC 6.0, we are facing one problem regarding the search criteria..
When the user in Account Assignment select order and search for a wild search then it's giving popup message as
No values found

Please test the function RHF4_RFC_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST in Backend (ECC system) wit the following parameters
LV_SHLPPARAM = AUFNR
LV_SHLPNAME = ORDEB
LV_RETURN_ALL_FIELDS = *
If you get the results then the problem could be with the RFC.

Determine BADI from Enterprise Web Service?

We've just started to work with Enterprise Web Services and have a need to enhance one of them. Using ES Workplace we have identified the 'Read Purchase Order' as a candidate and want to see what capabilities exist in making minor changes. The resources that we have found so far that detail this involve implementing a BADI.
My question is, how do we determine what the BADI is for each enterprise web service? I do not see a BADI name listed in the es workplace page for the web service. Is there a tcode on the ECC system that can use one of the values listed from the es workplace page?

BADI's relevant for each Web Service is provided at ES Workplace. For example, PO Query Web service definition ECC_PURCHASEORDER002QR, BADI is PUR_SE_PURCHASEORDER002QR which is mentioned in the link:

( Material description could be a wild search -- say - Mat* ) I want a sub routine in the function module which should get all the materials from the database ( mara or makt..not sure ) for the user entered Material description.

Time out error in POWL query

Hello Experts,
The user selected Purchase Order ALL and ran the query with wild search, it contains around 40K POs showing in Active query list. When he wants to access these POs by cliking on hyper link ALL (40451). Its going to Time out error, because requestor number is missing.
Kindly throgh some light how to clear this filter.
Highly appreciated for prompt responses.

Try to provide BELNR and GJAHR in where condition...
BKPF-DBBLG ==> BSAK-BELNR
Also check
BKPF-BLDAT ==> BSAK-AUGDT
Check out above relation...
If data is there in these fields of the table and both are matching then you can pass it and as they are in primary key of BSAK it will improve the performance...

Problem with one time where clause

I am working with Oracle Forms 10g.
I have developed A new custom with Find window in that form. When we open the form First the find window will come first, and i have 10 fields in that form. For example PO number, supplier name,supplier site etc. When the user give po number and click find button in the find window it will move to my main form and query that po. If the user simply click find button all the po will listed. If the user give the supplier name alone and click find it will open the main form and query that supplier listed po alone. All working fine.
Now i need to refresh the my page when it moves from find window to my main window. So i use Execute_query built in.But when i use Execute_query when i give single po alone and click find it querying all the po in my custom table. So i used onetime_where clause.
But i dont know How to give more than one field in the onetime_where clause.
This is my syntax and its not working in my scenario

About Result Set

hi folks,
am using jsp to display the records from the db via jdbc credentials. ok. i had doubt regarding result set in java..
In my jsp page i show the records "form" entry format. while loading the page. i used while(rs.next() operation) to get the records from the db. and i fill into the form fields..
say as eg : employee id: 900
employee name : zzz
ok. what is my problem.? while am loading the page it fill all of the records and it showing the last record.
if suppose while am pressing next button in jsp page. what happen means.. it fill some null value.
when gave a look to that operation.
i already get last record when page loads. if i hit next button means there is no such records. so it fills null value.
so my question is? when page loads i should load first record of query which i have. not last record...

Mobile brandband issues with Windows 8 Beta on X220 Tablet

Hi everyone! I wonder if anyone of you has the F5521gw in a X220t running on Windows 8 Beta (German). It's the only device that is not working :-( I am currently using the W8 beta driver offered by Lenovo but it still does not cut it. When I look at available networks I only see WiFi but no mobile broadband. I even tried disablng the SIM PIN to make sure it's not a problem on that end. Any hints to get this working? Update table name.

Hi,
I created a new form UD_NEWFORM in form designer and by mistake I clicked save in form designer table and the form with table name UD_ADGRP got renamed to UD_NEWFORM.
How can I change this to UD_ADGRP again ?

Well I dont think you would ever be able to update the table name, even if you open some other form, click new and then save for that newly created form. It will just create another entry for this new form. Do a wild search for all the forms and you should be able to see your form UD_ADGRP over there. So nothing is over-written.
