Will 30g iPod work with New Nike product?

I recently purchased a 30 iPod video. I would like to know if the new Nike system works with it as well as just the Nano. The Nike site only lists the Nano as a requirement.
Mac Mini   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Hello, I don't have a direct answer for you, but I can give you some advice. I'd highly recommend you NOT go jogging with your 30GB iPod (or any iPod with a hard drive). The jarring motion of the legs hitting the pavement (or what have you) can cause the hard drive to crash (the read/write head slams into the platter of the hard drive and will damage it, causing the hard drive to fail).
However, if you can catch it when the disk is not spinning,(running only when the disk stops spining, there's cache that puts 25 minutes into memory so the disk doesn't have to spin) you may be ok, but to be on the safe side, I'd go against that as well.

  • Does any ipod work with any nike sensor?

I already own a Nike + sensor, do I need to change to a new one to make it work with a new Ipod nano? Or can I pair it with my existing one?

If it's a newer iPod, you shouldn't need to purchase a new sensor. It will work as long as you are pairing the sensor with an iPod that supports Nike+.

  • Will any Ipod work with Windows 98

Thats what I have Windows 98 SE.Will any Ipod series work with my PC.

The iPod Windows software as supplied by Apple (and iTunes) will only work on a Windows 2000 or XP system.
However there is third party software which you can use, to enable you to use your iPod with a Windows 98 PC.

    Anapod Reinitializer 1.0.0
Anapod Reinitializer is a free, lightweight utility for reformatting and reinitializing your iPod. Its function is equivalent to the Restore button in the Apple iPod Updater utility. Anapod Reinitializer runs on all versions of Windows, so it allows Windows 98/ME users (who cannot use Apple's software because it only runs on 2000/XP) to format their iPods.
    Anapod Explorer 8.7.3
Anapod Explorer is hands-down the most advanced Windows software companion for your iPod. Anapod can copy and backup iPod music and playlists to your PC and integrates your iPod into Windows Explorer as a full-fledged device under My Computer, allowing you to transfer files to your iPod as well and use a familiar Explorer interface to manage on-board music, playlists, contacts, notes, and more. Also included are a built-in database called AnapodSQL and a one-of-a-kind web-based streaming interface to your iPod called Anapod Xtreamer.

  • Will iwork '08 work with new lion operating software?

I have snow leopard, but wondering if I will be able to use iwork '08 with it?
Is there an update for iwork '08 with lion to give me some of the new features, such as versions?

You have to purchase iWork '09 in order to upgrade. You can purchase each application or the entire package through the Mac App Store.
The version you have should still work with Lion.

  • Question;Will Toast Titanium work with new'SnowLeopard?

So I do have Toast 7.....will it work? do I need some kind of 'upgrade on my Toast Titanium for it to work with Snow L??? thx in advance! Larry

I've burned a couple of CDs with Toast Titanium 8 with success since installing SL. Haven't tried DVDs yet. However, I had no luck with Tivo Transfer portion of Toast 8. Sounds like that is what other users are experiencing as well. I might have to bite the bullet and upgrade to Version 10.

  • None of my ipods work with new itunes, please help me!

    I have:
    • 3rd gen. nano
    • 5th gen. video
    • 2nd gen. nano
Both nanos used to work on my macbook, I could add/delete music, sync.. every thing worked perfectly! Also, I just barely bought the classic from someone and it worked as well.
-- TWO DAYS AGO... I updated to the 8.2.1 version of iTunes and since then, none of my iPods, or my boyfriend's brand-new touch work on iTunes. I've finally uninstalled, installed, reset enough things that when I plug in these iPods, they at least show up on my desk top, but all iTunes does is open.
It used to open and give me a warning: "an ipod has been detected but it could not be identified properly...please disconnect & reconnect" which did nothing.
My 3G nano works perfectly on my boyfriend's brand-new MacBook, but still nothing on mine.
I've thought and thought and figured that iTunes was the culprit and not my USB ports or cables since I tried other things in the ports and 6 other cables that work fine on other computers.
I've been SEARCHING the internet like crazy, reading millions of forums and 'fixes' but nothing works :'(

The same thing happened to me. When I first connected my iPod to my PowerBookG4 after the latest update, it told me to restore my iPod, so I did. Now it tells me there is not enough room to put my music or podcasts onto the iPod, because it is full. However, there is nothing on it since when I restored it took everything off. When I go to the iPod summery page, it says the iPod if full with "other", but I can't figure out what that is, or how to erase it, so I can install my music and podcasts. I run every day and desperately need my iPod, and every place I could otherwise call is closed until Monday. Can anyone help?!!!!!!!!!

  • Will any iPod work with Mac OS 10.3.9?

I want a basic iPod for music on the move but what older ones will work on my iBook G4 running 10.3.9? I don't mind trawling eBay... I understand that the new iPods require a more up to date OS...

You can look at the iPod specification profiles here
    http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/consumer_electronics/index-ipod.html
There is an entry for +Mac Support+ on the profiles, which shows the earliest Mac OS X release that is supported by each model.

  • Laptop Stolen, now How can I get Ipod working with new computer/disable old

My laptop with my itunes was stolen. I still have my IPOD 30GB.....
I have a new computer, and I think I can download Itunes to it and hook up the ipod and it will be able to load ipod content to the new computer???
Also I am worried, what about the old computer, do i need to DeAuthorize it? How would I do that since I don't have it in my possession?
    Thanks for any help!!!!

*what about the old computer, do i need to DeAuthorize it? How would I do that since I don't have it in my possession?*
You can't deauthorise a computer you no longer have access to on it's own. However once you reach the limit of 5 authorisations you have the option once a year to deauthorise them all in one go and start over: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation
*I have a new computer, and I think I can download Itunes to it and hook up the ipod and it will be able to load ipod content to the new computer???*
If your iPod is set to update automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    TuneJack Windows Only
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iGadget Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    iRepo Mac and Windows
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows
There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • Will FCP 7 Work with New Mac Pros?

Any indication of I will still be able to work in FCP7 on the new Mac Pro 2013? I'm not too keen on FCPX at the moment. Thanks for any info.

All true, however, FCS 2009 (aka FCS 3) does run with the current OSX (10.8.4) which is two full versions beyond the last supported one (10.6.8).
So, the real answer is, we'll have to wait and see how things play out.

  • Will a G3 work with new lcd displays?

I have a blue and white power mac g3 that is running an avid media composer system. Currently it is running two tube monitors. Can I run two lcd screens off this system. Ideally two 30" or two 23".

You could replace the graphics card with the ATI Radeon® 9200 MAC Edition RoHS 128MB PCI
    <http://shop.ati.com/product.asp?sku=3170811>
That can run two displays, but one would have to use VGA, so could not be an Apple LCD. You could use two cards to get two DVI ports, but the performance would be lower. There are no cards for your Mac that will run the 30" display.
A G3 is going to be very slow anyway for graphics, since it does not have array instructions.

  • Will PS apps work with new MS sideloading program

I came across this page ( xxx.aidanfinn.com/?p=16266) outlining the changing sideloading policies MS will be enacting on May 1st. Firstly, may I say "thank you!" to MS for remembering that small developers are important ;) . so for those who haven't
seen it, here's a brief summary from the page:
" The ability to distribute custom apps via Enterprise Sideloading is added to Windows 8.1 Pro via the Windows 8.1 Update.
The license for Enterprise Sideloading is free to those larger customers that are enrolled to an applicable large customer volume license agreement.
Anyone else can get the Enterprise Sideloading license for an unlimited number of devices for $100 through an Open volume license program."
There are a few caveats and requirements, but all in all this is great news as it looks like $100 will allow smaller developers like me to be able to sideload custom apps. Again, thank you MS! So the question is will I be able to install Project Sienna apps
via this method? Are the sienna executables hard wired to look for developers licences or other 'gotchas' that will prevent me from using this tool to create exe's that I can sideload under these new policies?  Thanks
slowly getting my mind around .NET...

Well, the day has come and there is no readily available information on the MS Open Licensing site as of this writing. Could someone  please share a link to the program info or a link to a purchasing site? thanks

  • Will a new Ipod work with Ibook G3 600MHz (Dual USB)?

I have a Ibook G3 600MHz (Dual USB) with USB 1 and I'm considering buying a new 30GB Ipod; Apple recommends USB 2.0. Will this Ipod work with my Ibook?
    Thanks

you really need USB2 high powered ports to be able to charge your ipod correctly....
you could use USB1 to synch files but it will be painfully slow
and you could get a USB2 iPod charger to charge your ipod

No. Only the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have the necessary hardware chip (called NFC) to use Pay.

  • Altec InMotion . . . will it work with newer iPods?

Got my iPod stolen. I had the old 60 or 80 gig monochrome screen white iPods. try to find them on eBay but it shows every iPod ever made and don't know how to specify the one I have.
Getting a new one, apart from being unnecessary, is all my peripherals (inMotion speakers and iTalk) and i don't know if they will work with newer iPods.
On inMotion since that's what I use the most, although the size of the "hole" is big like the older iPods the actual connector seems like it might just fit into the newer iPods. Online Altec says it fits various iPods but I have no way of knowing if it's my same unit they're referring to or a new one.
Also, if anyone knows how you identify that earlier iPod (bought in 03-04) for eBay searches, I've gone through pages and haven't found a single one like mine.
    thanks

P.S. It had the track wheel on the bottom and it was either 60 or 80 gigs. Bought in Fall 2004.
    thanks
