Will 3d studio MAX work with FCP for special effects?

If these applications work together, I was wondering what format and resolution to render, for animated files to be used in FCP.

FCP is an editing program. It will deal with a multitude of formats. If you want to know if 3ds has a 'send to FCP' function a la shake, I doubt it. Render a targa image sequence out of 3ds, import it in through a quicktime conversion (targa seq. to .mov), then FCP will deal with it nicely.

You should refrain from repeating this suggestion about Rosetta (especially since you have no direct experience with it). Much has changed since the time of its discussion back in the introduction of Lion days.
The fact of the matter is that Rosetta has no valid function installed into Lion or Mt. Lion and users have reported serious system problems and crashes after further subsequent modifications and System updates.

2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel core i7 WILL IT WORK WITH FCP?

I am planning on purchasing the new IMAC 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel core i7 27" screen for work with FCP. The requirements to install FCP state in relevent part:
ATI or NVIDIA graphics processor (integrated Intel Graphics processors not supported).
Does this mean that the 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel core i7 27" screen will NOT OPERATE FCP. I know that the Quad-Core Intel i7 is an upgrade for the system should I stay with the basic NVIDIA graphics processor?

I understand there is a difference between the "graphics cards" and the Processor and Memory?

Sounds just like what was happening with my Alum MB. I took it in and they replaced my battery. It seems to be ok now. I don't know what it is, but my battery was fine before 10.5.6 and the same timeframe of the firmware updates when they came out.
My battery health was jumping around but was fine before all of this happened. Unfortunately at 381 cycles I don't think you have much chance of getting the battery for free. Perhaps you can complain about the battery saying it was fine until 10.5.6 or whatever. You'll need an HD-SDI I/O card, such as a Blackmagic Decklink or Aja Kona, which has those connectors. The software they include will allow FCP to use the SDI ports for capture or monitoring, and add sequence presets for different video formats.
Check the product pages at Aja or Blackmagic for more information, and these forums for various opinions on either card. I've been using a Kona LHe for 23.98 capture from an HDCAM deck, and monitoring the same sequence to a Sony CRT at 29.97. Works very well.

I am working with FCP Version 7 in Mac OS X Version 10.6.8 On Wednesday evening all my project was saved and everything was ok but on Thursday morning I opened the same project but in canvas it appears green. MPEG-2 Video, Linear PCM, Timecode was my video format that I have been editing, whereas the different format aside "MPEG-2 Video, Linear PCM, Timecode" works in FCP. Please help me.

Yea, it sounds like the backlight is going, or the inverter. If you let it sit in BIOS for awhile will it happen there too?

Some one please clear this up for me, it could be answered in the simplestterms from the English Language of course.
I've recently purchased the Linksys WRT160N however after purchase "of course"I manage to find reviews stating that the router will not work with the WindowsVista Premium, or windows Vista for that matter.
E.g.(Comments like These 'which are not my own')----------

It should work with vista without any issues if you are running any software on the computers (64 bit) from linksys it may not work but if you will connect that computer with an ethernet to the router it should work fine.

Apple Pro Res 4444, does it work with FCP 6?

Does ProRes 4444 work with FCP 6? I don't think so but wanted to check before I had the film lab telecine my film. I'm stuck with FCP 6. Might have to go with ProRes 422 (HQ) ?

See, I knew the editing gods would humble me.
I just re-tested this on a separate FCS 2 partition and it turns out my memory was failing. While you can read and import the new ProRes codecs, you can cannot render out to them in the FCP 6 + QT 7.6.2 universe. So yeah, getting all ProRes4444 files would be a hassle on an FCP 6 setup.

Sounds like the viewer is in wireframe mode or is alpha display mode. If this isn't the case you need to go to the Final Cut Studio forum and give more details.

When selecting the option e-mail from the Elements Organizer to share a picture, the program stops with a note from Elements Organizer stating they could not finish creating the e-mail message. Depends on what e-mail client you're using. I believe that for W8 you need to install the Windows 7 version of Windows Live Mail.

I thought HP would have the updated drivers for Windows 10 but I have to use my printer everyday and didn't know how long it would be before the updated drivers would be available or when the final version of Windows 10 will be released. I'm scheduled to install Windows 10 on my laptop on the 29th. Wonder if I should cancel my reservation and wait till I know for sure HP will have the drivers ready to install on my printer? Windows 10 is still in th pre-release stage and it is not published yet what will be supported, I expect this will happen in the next month as the July 29 release nears. HP's site here will have compatibility information, check back in late July for information. That said, I would expect that current printers will be suported in Windows 10. The current public Windows 10 Build 10130 does have a Fax driver for the Officejet Pro 6830 and print drivers that would be compatible as well.

Focusrite Saffire interface not working with FCP 4?

I can't seem to get my focusrite saffire audio interface to work properly with FCP? It works fine with all other apps (itunes, QT, Logic etc) and all the other Studio apps (Motion, DVD Pro and Soundtrack Pro) - but in Final Cut the sound is 'distorted' and 'jumpy'? All focusrite and FCP software is upto date.
Has anybody else had this sort of problem? Is anybody happily using the saffire with fcp? (I can't seem to find any on the search!)

Yes, editing is done in Soundtrack Pro or Logic Pro (used to have pro-tools mbox - but decided to ditch it and go down the Logic route with another interface!) - but I expect to be able to hear basic audio with picture in FCP?
Sample rates are matched?...
