Will a 38.5mm thick cabinet fan fit a G4

I have searched high and low for an original replacement case fan for my G4, alas, to no avail. (Delta Sensaflow WFC1212B, I live in the UK so postage from USA is inhibitive)
Arctic Cooling sell a 120 x 120 x 38.5 mm (instead of 25mm) that shifts in excess of the original 86.5 CFM. (I have fitted Dual 1.2 processors and ATI 9800 graphics card so could do with the extra wind)
(Q1) Will this unit fit without modification into my G4?
(Q2) Which wire do I ignore as this is a three pin connector.
(Q3) Are these fans compatable with G4 macs, I have read in other threads that the motherboard controls the fans, is this correct, and would it make a difference?

Yes it will fit, though just. The clearance inside the fan mounting tin is right at 40mm. If the fan were to rest unevenly against the outer panel, there could be a chance for unwanted noise. I would add acouple of washers, for use as spacers, behind the two screws that hold the mounting tin to the side panel, or, use a silicon gasket to isolate potential contact noise.

You should be fine with the fan.

With other aspect ratios, center works as supposed to.

The value of 3072 is returned when 16:9 value is stored in SPRM14.
However some players may disregard this script as they might look for the presentation information in IFO files or in the video stream itself.
The better approach is to flag one subtitle stream as 16:9 and the other as 4:3 in DVD After Edit if you have an access to it.

I have an old Socket 7 MS-5156 motherboard, there is not even a listing on this webpage for Socket 7 anymore, anyway will a AMD K6 2 300 cpu fit into this motherboard??. The AMD cpu is 2.2v Core and 3.3v I/O which means that I just have JV3 jumper only to set CPU voltage but what are the DIP switch settings to set the Cpu speed??

I currently have a MSI "Neo2-PFISR " i865PE Chipset Motherboard and a 3.0E p4 processor. I am looking to replace the stock hs and fan and was looking at the zalman ones but apparently they do not fit but some people seem to be able to make it fit. Will it work with my board, or should i get something else? Thanks

I have the XP-90 installed on an MSI 875 NEO FISR (PCB 2.0) it fits and works perfectly. The only problem I had with the NEO over my old ASUS board was that I had to install the HSF partly over the NB fan housing, as the bottom of my PSU would have rested on it the other way around. My temps are between 36 deg C and 38 deg C at 100% load when folding. I am using a 92mm fan instead of the 80mm that you can use.

A fan fit for a MegaPC?

I got my MSI mega651 about a week ago and I love it, but it gets very hot. Since the onboard graphics aren't very good (ie they cant run halo and other games) I upgraded it (today) with a radeon 9600. Slight problem though, the radeon has no fan and since its located where the CPU gets its air from its probably going to cause some major headaches (ie the fan throwing a wobbily and making more noise than I can stand) when I start pushing it later.
So what i'm really looking for some recomendations on pentium 4 cpu fans that will fit in this box.
Also is it possible to split the 3 pin fan power for a second fan so I can bring more air in?

I think the overall design was mostly inherited from the basic Jive software. It may not be ideal but it has been officially judged to be "good enough".

Will Mac mini 2.3Ghz i7 resolution fit on a monitor with 16:10(22inch) or 16:9(27inch)?

I am starting to use a Mac mini for the first time and needing to buy a monitor for it. I am thinking of a 22inch or a 27 inch. Third party monitors though. Can't afford apple Cinema Display (27"). Will a 16:10 or a 16:9 fit for Mac mini's display? I have a friend who has a Mac mini sitting at home unused as the display is extending outside of the screen. His monitor is possibly a 16:10. Do you have any idea?

Also note, some displays at that resolution require dual-link display adapter. Thunderbolt has such adapters, but it would be ashame to lose access to your thunderbolt port unless absolutely necessary.

HP Pavilion 23 will not turn on- can hear fan, power light is on, nothing on screen

HP Pavillin 23 will not turn on/power up???.
When we press the power button:
- can hear fan
-power light on back of computer is lit (where power cord is plugged in)
-power light on top of computer is lit
-but nothing happens with the screen. No light at all, no screen at all; it remains black.

hello I have a macbook pro a1280 (late 2008) and my top case is pretty dented on the sides and stuff and I wanted to replace it now when I'm looking on google I don't find a top case for the a1280 I see one for a a1278 now I noticed that the a1278 case looks like the a1280 and it has the battery compartment like mine does now I just need a new blank case no mother bored no parts just a blank case all I want to know is if I buy it and put my mother bored and parts from the a1280 case and put it in a1278 case will it fit and work?

The problem I face with your query, there is no a1280 Macbook Pro that I can find. The a1278 are 13" models from 2009 through 2012.
Go to the iFixit.com and powerbookmedic.com web sites and check the parts they have listed. You may find your answer there.
