Will a G3 14.1 LCD work for a G4 14.1

I need to replace my LCD and was wondering if a 14.1 in LCD from a G3 would work for a G4? Are all the connections the same. Same pin count for the ribbon cable?
Thanks for any help.

No such thing as a "generic" or "compatible"LCD for any ThinkPad, I'm afraid, and the LCDs are generally not interchangeable between different series, with a couple of exceptions, but not for a T6x unit.
You could use the SXGA+ LCD, but you would need a different LCD cable.
If you have the FRU from the original LCD, you may want to Google a bit for it...
Good luck.
Cheers,
George

From one of your prior threads, you appear to be working in Windows 8.1 64 bit with your Premiere Elements 12.
Where are you when you say that Premiere Elements 12 will not accept your Adobe ID - are you at the Sign In dialog step of the end of the
installation? Whatever the location, what is being rejected or not recognized specifically - can you tell if it is the Adobe ID or password?
Are you working with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Please check out the following troubleshooting steps and let us know if any of them worked for you

  • Will the Apple Digital AV adapter work for the DISH Remote Access app?

I have a Sling adapter hooked up to my 722K DISH receiver, and the DISH Remote Access app installed on an iPad 2. Great app, btw.
What I'd like to know is if I'll be able to use this AV adapter to watch my recorded shows on a TV. Hotel room situation, and I would just like a larger screen every once in a while.
So far, my understanding doing some searches here is that the adapter will work for Netflix, but won't for HBO GO (bummer).
Since I'll be phasing out Netflix soon anyway, and this adapter isn't going to work for HBO GO content, I am just wondering if it will for the Dish Remote Access app before I bother to buy one.
If not, is there something that would be a better choice? I did look at the component and composite cables too, but couldn't quite make up my mind.
    Thanks for any input.

iphone4 dont support mirror so only apps which support the normal tvout will work on iphone4 witht he hdmi out setup

  • Will an old iPod "firewire" charger work for my iPad

I have an old Firewire wall charger that came with my first iPod (wht 20gb). It is a 12 watt .64Amp output.
Will this work with my iPad. The iPad comes with a 10 watt charger.
Will the extra wattage harm the iPad?

When the current goes through the wire to the dock connection on the edge of the ipad, the devices does not "know" the shape or configuration of the connection to power at the other end. Clearly, the ipad does not interface with a firewire DATA port. However, there is an adapter cable for ipad devices with three ends: dock (to device); USB (to computer for data); FireWire (to AC wall adapter for power).
It seems to me that the 12V 1.0A output of the old wall adapter should be able to charge the ipad. I do not have the three legged cable, but do have a ipod power adapter with FireWire only connection. Has anybody tried this alternative to the 10V output wall adapter intended for the ipad?

  • Will this version of XP Home work for Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac?

For Christmas, I received Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac because I need Windows XP for certain reasons. First, I have several neat programs that only run on DOS and second, I miss MS Paint (I hate Seashore or Piantbrush) and Finally, I like MS Movie Maker better then iMovie. When I opened it, I got furious because found out that XP Home doesn't come with it, so I must purchase it online. I really need XP Home with SP2, and not XP Pro. I looked in the manuel and it says I cannot use OEM copies, but I looked at another discussion that said OEM copies were OK. Now I'm very confused, so I decided to make this post hoping that I can get a good final answer. Here is another problem, I only have $100 to spend because I'm saving up for a bigger gift that has nothing to do with computers. I want to know which copy will work.

If you know a better copy under $100.00 that will be even more compatible with Parallels, tell me.
Thank You and I hope you can answer my questions.

You have an intel based mac. that is one particular Original Equiptment Manufacturer. Now, what parallels does is build a vitual machine inside your mac to make it OEM compatible inside the mac Operating System to make Windows XP Home to work within the mac environment. Once it is fully installed, you can use mac and windows XP home together at the same time. You can also install XP home in mac boot and use it separate from mac as well to do your work separate of being on mac ss well. carefully read the instructions and the key part again is putting in P.T, for it to work properly.

  • Will the new iTunes 11 still work for power users?

I've looked at the available screenshots, and I'm worried.
On the new iTunes page, Apple says, "Simplicity is a beautiful thing" — but I'm not so sure. I don't see any conventional list views, and I'm very worried that in simplifying it, they've sacrificed the control that so many music lovers like myself have come to rely on.
    Here's Apple's info:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/new-itunes/
    Anyone have additional insight?

    Limnos wrote:
    1) iTunes is free software.  As such it isn't targeted at the "power user" nor does Apple have a specific committment to produce a certain style product.
I disagree. Apple has added many, many features to iTunes over the years that target the power user. From smart playlists, to obscure things like ID3 tag version control. Power users features are sprinkled throughout iTunes. And to say that Apple doesn't have a "specific committment to produce a certain style product" is true, but also fairly obvious/meaningless.
    2) iTunes' developments over the past decade have largely been in the marketing facet.  As for basic music playing not much has changed since it was developed from Soundjam.  What has changed a lot is the introduction of the iTunes Store and interfacing with mobile devices.
Basic music playing has changed a LOT. You couldn't even rate your tracks in the beginning.
    3) Apple is a for-profit corporation.   We might like to remember them as the little-computer-that-could taking on the big corporations, but frankly they aren't that anymore.  They have a responsibility to their shareholders to do whatever it takes to maximize profit.  We don't really know what the October iTunes looks like (much) but if they decide to dumb it down so it is easier for people primarily interested in using iPhones to use then from a marketing perspective can't blame them.  We might not like it and might yearn for the the days when Apple really was computers, but those days are gone.
This is simplified to point of meaninglessness. There's an interaction between customers and product design teams. It may not be obvious from the outside, but there's still a give & take. What you're saying is in essence is, "Shut up and accept whatever happens," which is not a rational approach.
    4) If Apple decided iTunes wasn't in their interest they would drop it in a flash.  Where's iDVD?  iDVD was something people were willing to pay for.  They still would, but Apple isn't selling it anymore even though it is clear people in general have not given up on DVDs.
iDVD is not a good comparison, because of the vastly different switching costs. I used iDVD, but was fairly unaffected by its slow demise.

  • Will boot image on external drive work for powerbook g4

I've recently upgraded to a Powerbook G4 17-inch computer. Prior to that I had a Mac mini with tiger running on it. I used Carbon Copy Cloner to backup the mac mini to an external HD via firewire. Is it possible for me to boot my powerbook g4 from the external HD with 10.4 created on the mac mini?

Yes, it's possible but illegal. The software licensing agreement only permits installing OS X on a single CPU at a time.

  • Will TuringTest2s corrupt iTunes recovery guide work for a Mac?

    Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash
Im desperate to sort my issue and I think this could help but I'm not sure if these steps are the same for a Mac. I dont want to break anything and I want my content back.
Im trying to fix an issue where after a crash I am now getting this:
"The file iTunes Library.itl does not appear to be a valid iTunes library file. iTunes has created a new library and renamed this file to "iTunes Library (Damaged)"

Ok great, I pressed ahead and tried to do it and found all the right bits but for some reason iTunes Library.itl wouldn't let me rename it and I also couldn't do the finding a new library thing by holding down iTunes as I still just got the same warning that the library isn't valid and its been renamed and replaced.
    Any pointers?

  • IPhone will not find my network.  Neither will my wife's.  Has worked for one year, but suddenly, cannot find network.  My Mac can find the network.  Why not?

Both of our iPhones won't find the our wireless router.  The router is fine with other devices including our Mac and Kindle.  Tried reseting and got nowhere.  Any advice?

Oh I see, thanks for the info guys.
I find it incredibly weird that after just one night it went from connecting to not connecting at all. Now when I manually input my connection, It shows it and shows bars but when I select it, it doesn't connect and just has a little spinning wheel next to the network name.
EDIT: It came back somehow when I tried browsing in safari and it asked for my password and wala! Weird but hope it doesnt happen again haha.

I am using Mushkin XP3200 black (2-2-2 special) and it is pretty sweet stuff.  OCZ is good and so is corsair but I have been building with Mushkin for a while now (my systems and my customer's) and they are great with support and I find thier quality to be the best.  Just had an issue with 2 512 Ms o fthat Special black when I tried to add in two 512 Ms of thier redline - I sent it all back for testing and within a week they sent me four new modules of the XP 2-2-2 black preprogrammed iwth the proper timings for this board.  Keep in mind that the Special black is quite the upgrade from the redline and they did so at no charge just because it was the best compatibility for my system and I had consulted them prior to purchase about which modules to add in.

  • Will Struts or any other framework work for this?

Here is the bird's eye view of the project. We have data coming in from different sources in different format. We need to process this data into our my own standard format and load them into database.
We built our own Java classes to solve this but now we have too many classes and maintaining them is getting out of hand. Can we use the STRUTS framework to build our project? Or is there any other framework we can use? Would like the project more maintainable, flexible and reusable. Any kind of suggestion is welcome. Thanks in advance.

struts is a web framework, so I don't see how it'll help with persistence.
can't tell based on two lines of requirements.

  • THIS DOESN'T WORK FOR ME: Sending Maps to iOS Devices If you're also using an iPhone or iPad running iOS 7, you can send Maps from your Mac to your iOS device with ease.

Open the directions or Map to a location that you wish to share, then select File > Share > “Send to Device.”  I don''t have this specific option showing under File in Maps. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Hi,
just disconnect your iCloud account in your Mac (system preferences) and then log in.
It'll work and the button Send to iPhone/iPad will appear in Maps. It worked for me just five minutes ago ;-)
