I need more space!
Anyone who knows if I can replace the existing harddrive in my Pavilion dv6599eo with a new Western Digital Scorpio Black 500 GB drive?

I guess you can but it might cause troubles when you going to do a factory reset on that hard drive. In this case, download same OEM version of Win from the internet, install it using your serial number, untick "activate online" at the end of the installation and wait for several days until you get a message about the activation. Then activate Windows through a phone(mobile). I had to do it because I bought a smaller disk than original one..
edit: I have got a new blue WD 500GB hard drive as a replacement so it should work out of the box..

Will the new 8Gb nano work with these speakers?

I bought a set of intempo speakers last year for my first generation 1Gb nano. I bought the new 8Gb nano last week and want to know if it will work with them. The manufacturers website with technical specs is below,

The new nano comes packaged with it's own 'dock adaptor'. It's a #13 dock adaptor in case you're interested.
I don't have the speakers you mentioned, but I have an iPod hi-fi and I removed the dock for my 30GB 5G iPod and inserted the #13 dock for the new nano and it is a very nice fit- the click wheel sort of disappears in the hollow of the dock a little- but other than that it fits well and the nano doesn't wobble around at all.
The new nano fits fine on my iPod hi-fi- it sits in almost perfectly upright on the connector. It looks like it should tilt back a little when you look at the angle of the connector on the speaker. Maybe try holding the nano very upright- it doesn't need to be forced on. Took me a few turns to get the angle correct.

Will my new sound card work with windows 7 64 bit??

I had creative sound blaster xtreme music, it use the old pci port. It has been giving problems ever since i got a new computer with windows 7 and a gigabyte mother board. The computer will sometimes not detect the car, when it does i will work for a while then a beeping sound plays, or sometimes i wont have sound at all when it is detected. Anyway, I am upgrading to the PCI-express xfi champion card. Is this card going to work with windows? 7 and not give me though problems?

It does not work..though it isn't mentioned anywhere. I called Belkin; they recommened another of their products. I'm not sure who I am more disappointed with...Apple for not mentioning that their second generation nano isn't fully compatable with all of the first generation accessories...or Belkin, who had a difficult time figuring out their accessories aren't compatable with the second generation nano.
Either way, be very careful when you purchase anything for a second generation iPod nano. Or don't buy the second generation nano if you plan on using a lot of accessories.

There are no hardware differences, just color and price, at least as far as anyone has been able to determine, so any existing case for the 4th-generation iPod touch (the just-announced unit still being 4th-generation, really) should be fine.

The reason some of the car chargers that worked with the first generation iPhone didn't work with the iPhone 3G is Apple removed the firewire pins from the dock connector with the iPhone 3G. A number of car chargers charged via firewire, not USB. The first generation iPhone supports charging via firewire, which is not supported with the iPhone 3G, and will no longer be supported with any future iPhone or iPod models.

Firefox will work with any mouse and keyboard that your computer supports. However, if your computer will not support the mouse or keyboard. Let's say it's a Windows 7 Computer and the mouse was only tested up to Windows XP and is a USB mouse then there may be a case where your mouse will not work. Firefox will never not work with a mouse and keyboard. Remember thoe, if it's a USB Mouse and Keyboard and it says that it's compatible up to Windows XP it will not work on Windows 7 or if it does work it may not work well.

Will a new time capsule work with os10.6.8?

Just bought a new 2tb time capsule I havve an older mac book with 10.6.8. It keeps telling me that I have to update my airport utility. I updated for my os. is my system to old to work with this? I also have an ipad mini and a iphone 5s if i can set this up with any of these.

Your Mac needs to be running OS X 10.7.5, 10.8.x or 10.9.x to configure the Time Capsule
You can also use a recent version of the iPhone or iPad, but make sure that you have the recent updates for AirPort Utility.

Will the new mac mini work with the older Flat panel iMac globe speakers?

I am thinking it might be time to upgrade my 800mhz FP 17", and since i have an extra 22" monitor laying around being unused, i thought the Mac mini would be a drop in replacement...but then i thought about the imac FP speakers and i would like to keep using them...is anyone using these speakers with the mac mini?

The Apple 'Pro speakers' that were designed by Apple and Harman Kardon, use a proprietary 2.5mm mini jack connector and they would need an adapter to work.

At the time, the pro speakers technology was pretty cool ... combining power and digital audio into the one cable. I still think they look striking....
I did a bit of snooping around and couldn't find the adapter for sale (aside from a used one on Amazon for $199 ouch) .... I believe it has been discontinued.

No DV port in camcorder. Just a yellow AV port/hole. I did find a Canopus ADVC110 device in a box that was bought several years ago to convert VHS tapes onto DVD's. Can I use this with a Mac? Could I connect a dvd player to the Canopus and transfer the disks onto my Mac? Or, connect the camcorder via AV port to the Canopus and that to the Mac and transfer that way? Thanks again!

VM Fusion: will these XP disks work?

I have two Windows XP Home SP1a disks. Only of them says" "Only for distribution with an HP or Campaq PC The other says, "Microsoft Windows XP Critical Security Updates. Each has a barcode with 9 digits. A third disk is the Windows XP pro upgrade with its product key. All disks were used on a compaq laptop I purchased in 2004 and which was recently stolen. Will these disks work with VMFusion on a new Powerbook Pro 2.4 GHz? Thanks for your feedback.

1) a Windows 98 install disk (I think from a Dell I bought several years ago)
2) XP SP 1a that came with the Compaq plus security updates
3) XP Pro Upgrade (on the box it says for users of Windows 98, XP Home and others.
Do you think I should start with using the Windows 98, then use the upgrade to XP Pro?

Will DM v4.2.2 work with a new BB Storm?

I have been trying -- and failing -- for two weeks now to "fix" Desktop Manager v4.7 so that it will sync with my new Storm. One error after another. I've tried every single "solution" I could find on BlackBerry.com and CrackBerry.com and absolutely nothing works. DM v4.7 simply will not permit me to CONFIGURE synchronization, let alone actually synchronize a thing. With no contacts or calendar on the Storm, it's worth less than a bad cell phone.
I'm running on XP Pro SP3, Office 2003. Several folks have reported that downgrading to DM v4.2.2 has solved a lot problems they've had with v4.7. My question is simple: will DM v4.2.2 work with a new Storm or am I just destined for another failure experience if I go to the time and trouble of clean un-installing v4.7 (yet again!?!?!) and downloading/installing v4.2.2? If v4.2.2 won't work, is there ANY other version of DM that will work with a Storm or is v4.7 the only show in town? (If it is, the show just closed. iPhone, here I come.) Would appreciate any advice and counsel you can give me. Thank you!
