Will a standard IMac run Football Manager?

im looking into buying an IMac, & I really want it to play Football Manager 2015 with good quality so I can watch in 3D & have around 10 leagues added in, so could someone please tell me if a standard IMac would be able to run it.
My friend has an IMac (2008 I think) & that seems to run it fine but other people have said a 2011 couldn't run it, & that's why I'm getting confused.
Any any help or advice would be much appreciated.

It can run on mac as well on the box in the top right hand corner it says PC, Mac & Linux, you don't have to play it through steam if u buy the Disc
These are the minimum Requirements, I'd like better tho. Is the Mac better than them Requirments

  • Will the new iMac run MSOffice 2004?

I have been running MS Office 2004 for Mac on my Macs since, oh, around 2004.  I'm completely happy with it.  I don't need any new features.  I know it inside and out and I don't want to learn a new version.
Will a brand new iMac run my Office 2004 software?  Or will this software be obsolete on a new machine?

No, except by running it through Mac OS X Server 10.6 in emulation.

  • Will me 2006 iMAC run FCPX after upgrades?

    I have a late 2006 iMac running osx 10.7.3 with 2.16 ghz core 2 duo, 3gb 667mhz ddr2 sram and an ATI radeon x1600 128mb.
I am looking to put FCPX on it.  I lost FCP7 when i upgraded the OS but I have moved to FCPX on my new iMAC.  I am wanting to use the old iMAC for a secondary computer.  Will this run FCPX?

Unfortunately, no.  The graphics card is not supported.

  • Will my new iMac run the next OS X 10.5?

I've just got my iMac yesterday, it is my first Apple and I love it very much.
But I am a little worried whether it will run Leopard?
It has 2Ghz dual core processor, 1GB RAM and 128 graphic card.
Thank you for your kind answer

More memory is always helpful with new OSs. It seems that cpus from Intel can be dropped in easily enough. And any new OS will eat up more disk space it seems.
I tried to get my brother to go for 1.5-2.0 GB RAM but he didn't realize Macs were so memory hungry. The sweet spot seems to be about 1.5GB. With 1GB my MacPro was constantly using 900MB and creating swap files and doing more pageouts than I wanted, cured by adding another GB of RAM.
Just be sure to do backups and make it a habit

  • Will the new iMac run Motion 3?

I can't really afford to go to the Mac Pro. I am looking at the new iMac (24 inch, 2.8 processor model), and wondering if it will run Motion 3? I know it won't be ideal, but still I hope that it will suffice for a high-end amateur user.
I currently run Motion 2 on a Macbook, which is obviously not ideal, but at least somewhat works.

No, except by running it through Mac OS X Server 10.6 in emulation.

  • Will a standard G5 run on its side

I have an old G5 and not much space to in my home office. I run a mac pro too. I was hoping to store the old G5 under the desk in a horizontal position. the G5 is not water cooled. It was my office computer and I would like to keep the content separate from my home stuff. Will running the computer on its side have any adverse effects I intend to screen share and am unlikely to use its CD drive again.
    Thanks in advance
    Graeme

I ran Mac Pro on its side for two years (no hum that way for some reason) but I would be worried about air flow and ventilation if the desk blocks or limits air - especially out the back, or if it will be close to or against a wall.
Pioneer SuperDrive had a 'lip' that held DVD/CDs in place but they did worry me, louder, and worry about positioning the read head.
I use KVM from Gefen which has worked very well, just wish I could afford to run two dual DVIs or 3 computers. But never fails to detect and no delay, so I can run system A and B easily enough. Never used screen sharing, I prefer hardware.

  • Very Specific; Will an Intel iMac run FCP6?

I don't do HD, not intending to. Just want stunning Mini-DV output(hence FCP)
Capture to ext 7200rpm FW drives will be the only issue I think? but I use ext FW drives at present on a G5 1.8DP and it works but is getting slower by the day.
I don't need PCI slots (only use G5 ones for add'l FW ports)
I know power users will pooh pooh it, but I can't see why it shouldn't be a perfectly good edit machine?
If someone out there is using one I'd love to contact.
A 24" would be intention, but the mid range model views appreciated?
    Thanks in advance

  • 2011 iMac run Leopard?

    Hi.
I have a special plugin that runs in Adobe Illustrator that will only run in Leopard. Will a 2011 iMac run on Leopard please?
    TIA. R

You can install Windows either on a Boot Camp partition or as a guest OS in an app like Virtual Box.
Already doing that but if you have used CorelDraw and Windows generally you'll realise why I would prefer to use the Mac. In Windows, Corel crashes at least 4 times a day.:D
Or find an inexpensive, used, older Mac, to just run Leopard and the engraver.
I didn't buy a new iMac to have to go and buy an older iMac. Time to try Snow Leopard I think...

  • I'm new to Mac, I recently downloaed steam for my husbands football manager game, having run ok for a few weeks it will no longer allow him to start up his game.I got help once it worked once but will not again....help please!!

We're retired, new to IMac, I downloaded Steam for my husbands football manager 2011.It ran successfully for few weeks, but now will not allow him to start up his game.I got help from the mac team and it worked for one day but again has the same fault....help please

Your download or install of the update may have been corrupt. Visit the Mac App Store and re-download the update or visit http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1726 and download the 10.9.2 update combo and re-install.
If that fails to solve the problem please post back and post a EtreCheck Report which you can locate at:

  • My Macbook Pro OS 10.7.5 will not recognize toshiba hard drive.  I will register on an iMac running the same OS.  Any ideas?

I have a Toshiba external hard drive that i used with MacBook.  I now have a MacBook Pro running OS 10.7.5.  It does not register that the Toshiba hard drive is plugged in, yet if I plug it into an iMac running the same OS it does work.

I don't know the answer to your problem, but until you resolve it do not upgrade OS X.
I would suggest you try a reinstall:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Using 2006 iMac running Mac OS 10.6.8.
My iTunes App (11.3.1) will not launch.
Upgraded to iTunes (11.4) but problem persists.
    Need help.

I have no answers for ya, but I do have the same problem, so we are not alone in this.
My iTunes stopped working after I did a couple of software updates that got my iTunes up to v. 11.4. Since that update, I can't get iTunes to open at all, neither from my dock nor from the Applications menu.
I'm wondering: Perhaps these latest iTunes updates are simply too advanced for my 10.6.8 operating system? If that's the case, how can I backtrack to an earlier version of iTunes that is compatible with my computer OS?
    Any thoughts?
