Sorry it took me a while to come back. Anyway, I cleared out the old Xcode files and went into the Developers Download area and selected to download 4.6.3 and was presented with this window
I clicked on Savefile and it downloaded. I was intrigued as to why this would work as it was exactly what I had done before. Out of interest I decided to issue the download again and this time it created a zero byte disk image and a "part" file of 1.6mB. I shall just have to put that behind me (accepting that I don't understand why one download should work and all the precious attempts should fail) and move on.
Thank you for your help (it was my eyesight that caused me to think my OS version was 10.7.9 - it is indeed 10.7.5)

Does anyone have an idea of what the problem is? It has always worked in the past.

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). There was no driver update available (it said my driver was up to date), so I just deleted the scanner and restarted the computer. when it came up, the scanner had already been added again. With great anticipation I tried to import from Photoshop...but no luck (scanner was not visible). I finally ended up calling Epson (had great difficulty in locating a number for support) and they finally told me there is no driver update for OS X 10.10 and I should as a work around use "Image Capture" application. I tried it, and it works quite well.

Na het opstarten vraagt hij om aan te melden met mijn Apple id, wanneer ik dit doe geeft hij de foutmelding: uw apparaat of computer kon niet worden geverifieerd. Neem contact op met support voor ondersteuning. Heb ook al contact gehad met i-tunes store, deze laten mij weten dat dit iets is voor Adobe.

PhotoShop Elements 4.0 works on MacBook Pro but does not on iMac (same OSX10.6.8)?

Photshop elements 4.0 worked fine on my MacBook Pro (same OSX 10.6.8) but when I installed it on my new iMac, it continually freezes and crashes. Any suggestions?
Also, how do I uninstall this program on the Mac? Used to "Remove Programs" on Windows Control Panel. Thanks.

There are three methods to uninstall apps on a Mac.
Look to see if the developer provides an uninstall utility, if they do use that first.
Use an app like AppCleaner (Google it) to locate all of the app to remove all the pieces of it.
Drag the app to the Trash.
Why it's not working...well you will need to look on an Adobe Photoshop Elements forum for help unless someone here is able to assist.

I have put on my Photoshop Elements hat and went ahead and to try to install Photoshop Elements 7 on Windows 8.1 64 bit.
The installation was from an installation disc which was purchased when Photoshop Elements 7 Premiere Elements 7 was first released.
The installation went without interruption to a successful install. And, the Photoshop Elements 7 performs well.
So, it is not clear when you wrote
"I cannot install because it asks for a version of Internet explorer which I seem to have."
My browsers on Windows 8.1 64 bit are Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome. My default browser there is Firefox.

Adobe photoshop lagging in my new retina macbook pro, what to do ?

i just bought a new mbp retina 15', adobe photoshop cs6 lags when scrolling or moving the image, also lags when zooming in or out. sometimes the brush responds after a second or two. very disappointed . I have updated photoshop to the latest version.

Will a telstra wireless USB work on the macbook pro running 10.6.7??? "Telstra say no!"!

I find it hard to believe that Telstra gear wouldn't work on the new Macbooks, has anyone had any success with Telstra wireless broadband?? There tech support say "that it will work with any OSX" (but the actual product in store states not 10.6.6 or 10.6.7). Any help is appreciated...:]

Please update your profile. You're not running Contacts on Mac OS X (10.6.8).
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Try the action that you're having trouble with again. Post any messages that appear in the Console window – the text, please, not a screenshot.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into a message.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.
