Will Adobe Premiere 4.2 work on Windows XP without formatting errors?

Transitions appear to be limited.  Also, when outputting to *.avi the Toshiba Windows XP (100GB HDD, 5400 RPM) shuts down before completion.

Yes, Audition 3 itself will. However there have been reports of some problems with some audio interfaces and suitable drivers for Win 8. So it may depend on what audio interface you are using.

  • Will Premiere Elements 4 work with Windows 7?

I am going to have to upgrade to Windows 7 from XP.  Will my Premiere Elements 4 work with Windows 7?

    Monoscope
Premiere Elements 4 works great in Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit computer. I have been there and am doing that along with other versions of the program on the same computer.
Do not go to the desktop icon for Premiere Elements 4 and set a compatibility setting in the Properties.
Just make sure that you are running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges and perhaps also with a Run As Administrator (right click desktop icon, select Run As Administrator). Latest version of QuickTime remains a must.
Does Premiere Elements 4 meet your video editing needs, feature-wise and otherwise? If so, stay with it. If not, explore the latest version 12 via a tryout from Adobe before any thoughts of purchase.
The above is my take on your inquiry. Please let us know if you need clarification on anything written.
    Thanks.

Add On...If you need a computer environment with greater resources for your Premiere Elements workflows, then you need to look at specifically Premiere Elements 10, 11, or 12 specifically on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.

  • Will Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 work on Windows 8.1

Will Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 work on Windows 8.1

    Hi,
    Here is my reply:
•What version of Premiere Elements? Include the minor version number (e.g., Premiere Elements 12 with the 12.0.1 update).
    Premiere Elements 12
•What operating system? This should include specific minor version numbers, like "Mac OSX v10.6.8"---not just "Mac"
    Windows 8.1.
•Has this ever worked before?  If so, do you recall any changes you made to Premiere Elements, such as adding Plug-ins, brushes, etc.?  Did you make any changes to your system, such as updating hardware, printers or drivers; or installing/uninstalling any programs?
Worked in windows 8. No plug-ins added, etc.
•Are you using an account with Administrator Privileges?
    Yes
Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 (Encore + "All" Premiere)
    Crashes after loading
•Have you installed any recent program or OS updates? (If not, you should. They fix a lot of problems.)
    All up to date
•If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)?
Please log-in with an administrator account to use Premiere Elements
•What other software are you running?
    None
•Tell us about your computer hardware. How much RAM is installed?  How much free space is on your system (C:) drive?
4gb ram. 30gb free space on internal SSD drive.
•Which version of Quicktime do you have installed?
    Latest
What is your exact brand/model graphics adapter (ATI or nVidia or ???)
    Radeon HD 3400
What is your exact graphics adapter driver version?
    8.970.100.0
Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?
    Yes
P.S. Premiere Pro works on my system

  • Is Adobe Premiere Elements 10 compatible with Windows 8? Or maybe it will have problems?

Is Adobe Premiere Elements 10 compatible with Windows 8? Or maybe it will have problems?

    Riccardo Pesare
I have Premiere Elements 10 on Windows 8.1 64 bit, and it runs well there.
But, I must disagree with SG when he writes
It will likely run. But it will not be able to take advantage of Windows 8's advanced architecture (including the 64-bit operating system and ability to access more than 4 gigs of RAM).
You can prove to yourself that Premiere Elements 10 is a 64 bit application running on Windows 8 64 bit. To do this use the Process Explorer Sysinternals and add a Image Type Column readout. When you do this for Premiere Elements 10, 11, or 12 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit, the readout tells you that you are working with a 64 bit version.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
And, as a 64 bit application, Premiere Elements 10, 11, or 12 Windows should be able to take full advantage of the 64 bit system when Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
I suspect SG is thinking Mac not Windows in his comment. It is my recollection that Premiere Elements 10 Mac is still a 32 bit application on 64 bit system. And, you are using Windows, not Mac.
We will watch for his clarification on this point or for support for what he posted as is.

  • Adobe Premiere 13 stops working on Hp Pavilion AMD Windows 8

I have installed adobe premiere 13 on my new windows 8 computer. It is a hp pavilion with AMD A4-5000 APU with Radeon (TM) HD graphics 1.50 GHz and 6 GB of RAM and a 64 bit operating system.
My problem is that every time I try to edit a video, a message pops up saying that adobe has stopped working and windows is searching for a solution. Then, the program shuts down.
So, it is my computer or is the Premiere 13 not compatible with my computer?

    W8 and P13
Great information. Thank you for compiling it for the troubleshooting plans.
    1. First we need to determine if the issue
My problem is that every time I try to edit a video, a message pops up saying that adobe has stopped working and windows is searching for a solution. Then, the program shuts down.
only occurs when you use the video as your source media for the program Timeline. So, first thing, import only some jpeg stills to the Timeline and determine if the problem exists.
    2. We need the properties of the video that is imported into the problem project. So far we know
    1. Frame Size 640 x 480
    2. Frame Rate 28 frames per second
    3. File Extension is .avi
The major property that we need is the video compression that is being used. Maybe we can get that from the model of the Sanyo Digital camera. What is the model? I can try to find the information online with the brand/model.
Good to know that your Premiere Elements 13 is on Windows 8.1 64 bit. We might have to tie that into the above findings.
    So, major information needed...
    a. Video compression of the .avi file
    b. And whether or not the issue is specific for this video
Many thanks for the follow ups. Appreciated.

  • Will Adobe Premiere Elements 8 Function Properly on MS Windows XP  Pro x64 editionV2003 SP2

    I am running
    MS Windows XP
    Professional x64 edition
    V2003
    SP2.v4666
    Dell Precision PWS670
    Intel Xeon CPU 3.20GHz
    3.19GHz. 3.93 GB of RAM
I import SD video from Canon FS 200
Considering the hardware, software and camera I have will  "Adobe Premiere Elements 8"  allow me to export edited product to use as streaming video in Dreamweaver 8?
    Thank you.

With a Duo-core Xeon, you should be fine with SD material.
With the MOD files, this ARTICLE and its links, might prove useful. Be sure to follow all the links to other articles, and especially see the replies in those by Chris at JVC, as he knows those files intimately, and uses PrE to edit them.
As for OS, Win7 would be the way to go. It seems to have proved to be better than Vista, in almost every instance. The question is then - 32-bit, or 64-bit. Things to think about: PrE is not yet a 64-bit program, so cannot fully take advantage of a 64-bit OS. Win7-64 still seems to have some driver issues, but the people writing the drivers are catching up, and there is hope that by SP1, those will no longer be an issue. Also, one needs more RAM installed, to take advantage of a 64-bit OS, and your MoBo probably cannot take any more RAM. Also, the speed and connection of the RAM can be important, and your BIOS (and MoBo sockets), probably cannot take advantage of this newer RAM. If you are not planning on upgrading the MoBo and your RAM, then you will probably be much happier with a tuned Win7-32-bit OS. However, some programs are being released for 64-bit ONLY, like PrPro CS5. They will not run on a 32-bit OS. With the 32-bit OS, you do lock yourself out of some programs. It becomes a tough call, and only you can make it.

Will Elements 10 Item #65136385 work with Windows Vista? I found this on Amazon.com but it lists operatingsystems only for Windows 7 and I have Vista 64 bit. Can I use this as an upgrade from Elements 7?

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what Windows computer are you running it?
The 150:30 error is probably indicative of a licensing problem.
How long has the problem existed?
If it persists, please check out the following Adobe document related to troubleshooting this type of matter...perhaps starting with

I just updated to Photoshop & Premiere Elements 13, by downloading the 64-bit Windows version from the Adobe website.  Windows keeps popping-up (multiple times) "Adobe Premiere Elements.exe-no disk" window.  Circle X  - comment "There is no disk in drive.  Please insert a disk into drive\Device\Harddisk\DR3.  After 6 to 18 times (choses cancel, try again, continue).  The window finally goes away.  How do I get rid of this problem?  BTW, when installing from Version 11, I opted from the preferences from the 11 Version.

Was there something extraordinary about your Adobe Premiere Elements 11 preferences?
It is interesting situation...maybe a coincidence, but 11 was typically hit with No Disc message, and
most of the time the problem was related to SmartSound which was discontinued in versions 12 and 13.

  • My adobe premiere has stopped working when i start debug in eclipse

my adobe premiere has stopped working chrome dev tool start
    pls help me, thanks

The simple answer is that some tool like a virus scanner or generalyl a crooked configuration of local ports due to specific network setups is blocking AE's external communication with those processes. A simple google search could have told you that. You need to figure out what it is.

  • Will Adobe indesign cs6 books work with the adobe indesign creative cloud version?

Will Adobe indesign cs6 books work with the adobe indesign creative cloud version?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think, this question is a very good one.
If I have a *.indb document created in CS6, populated with InDesign documents from CS6, what to do, if I want to migrate my workflow to the latest version of InDesign CC-2014?
Short answer (avoiding trouble and headaches):
    1. Convert all your InDesign documents from CS6 to CC-2014 (*)
    2. Use NEW document file names for all your CC-2014 InDesign file types: *indd, *indt, *indl
    3. Build your *indb documents for CC-2014 anew.
    4. Use NEW document file names for CC-2014 InDesign file type: *indb
But isn't that a tedious task to do?
Yes. But fortunately there are some scripts around helping you with the conversion process.
    See Peter Kahrel's website. Especially:
Free script Batch convert/export InDesign documents | Peter Kahrel
    There are others as well…
    Uwe
*Before migration of the workflow batch export all InDesign CS6 documents to IDML and PDF.
