Will all the ipod touch 5g pre orders ship at the same time?
I pre ordered a ipod touch 5g on September 18 with an engraving, and it's still processing. I was hearing from a few people that the ipods preorders ship out the same day...Is this true?
I just got a notice this morning, that my Apple iPod 5g has shipped. The tracking information says it will arrive on Monday 10/15/12. That must be the release date.

I have finally ordered my long-awaited iPod touch 4 through BestBuy.com and I was wondering if this was my best choice. I paid extra for the express shipping and I was originally told by the site that I should expect my device this week. However, the status of the order has recently changed to backordered and I was wondering if continuing to wait out my order or to cancel it and just wait for it and pick one up in a retail store. Im planning on buying an Ipad. I already have an itunes account for my Ipod touch with a bunch of music, and apps. When i buy said ipad (and i connect it to my account) will all the apps/ music automatically download themselves or will i be able to choose the apps/ music that will go to the ipad?
You can choose which apps to install. App Store > Purchased > Not on This iPad.

Do all new iPods Touch's come with the January Update?
I'm looking at getting myself an iPod Touch and I've found the 16GB version at a really low price but it doesn't mention whether it includes the January update. Do all new iPod Touch's include the January Update or do you still have to buy it separately?
It varies depending on where you look.
I emailed one online store (in the UK) asking whether or not the iPod Touch they were selling had the update and they said some of them do, some of them don't.
I would make sure you ask when ordering (unless from a site like Amazon which sells both those with updates and those without.

I have an ipod touch and an ipod nano. I also used to have a laptop but, it quit working and I no longer have it. I had all of my music on my laptop. So, I had to buy a new desktop. I lost my ipod touch at around the same time. I had all of my music on the ipod touch that was from my laptop. So in thye meantime I started using my nano more. I bought new songs on my desktop for my nano. Then I found my ipod touch. I would like to be able to keep both the somgs I have now on my ipod touch and the ones that I already bought on the desktop. All iTunes content on your iPod Touch should be in your iTunes library on your computer, and your iTunes library on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data - stored on an external drive or some other external media used for backup purposes only.

When my Ipod touch is in autolock I can only restart the device holding the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time for 10 seconds. While in auto-lock it is using battery power and will do so until the battery is drained. Whats wrong?
- Try a reset. Nothing is lost:

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- Connect the iPod to your computer and try to restore via iTunes. Try placing in Recovery mode if necessary to restore.
- If you can't turn the iPod completely off, let the batter fully drain. After charging for at lerast anhour try again
- If still not successful time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. -
I tried to sync my Macbook Pro photos in iPhoto with my iPod Touch. I have done this numerous times, but today I got an error message saying the required file cannot be found. At the same time all of my photos on my iPod vanished. Can anyone help me?

My ipod touch 4 gen is in recovery mode and i dont know how to get out of it,i tried everything like hold the home and top button at the same time. All it did what g to the apple logo and went back to recovery mode any help?
Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...

If you have already pre-ordered the iPhone 5, check your order. If you made the first batch of pre-orders, it should say delivery September 21st. If that is the case then yes, you will get the iPhone 5 on your doorstep on launch date. If you have yet to pre-order, you will probably not make the first batch and might have to wait for shipment

I have a brand new Ipod touch with front facing camera. Not sure which generation it is. My wife connected the iPod Touch and chose the restore option when connecting to iTunes. It was a mistake and by the time I got there, I saw the screen with USB cable with an arrow facing towards iTunes logo. I cannot get the iPod out of this state.

Anyone know if 3.0 is included on all new ipod touch from now on? If so, does Apple have a history of giving you credit for the software update if say, you just got the ipod a couple days ago? I just bought my first mac and got the 2g ipod touch with it on Friday. Argh. If I had known I would've waited but I was so excited from the WWDC news of the 13" macbook I was stalking for so long that I just bought it! I would like to save that $10 if I could. Also, I have a 1g iPod touch that was synced with my windows pc. I figured out how to transfer my paid apps and other apps to the new touch, but it says it can only be linked to one iTunes. Is there a way for me to set it up so I can sync the ipod from my new mac from now on? but keep the apps?
THANKS!Suz, as long as iTunes on both computers are authorized, you should be able to start synching to both. But make sure you do a back-up on your old computer(the one you was synching to all along) before starting to sync your apps to the new one. If you're not sure whether your iTune has been authorized, you can click on 'Store' then go down to the last section where it should say 'View My Account (your e-mail)...'. If not then Authorize it again. Since you may not have all the music files from your previous computer, you should uncheck all sync categories check boxes until you've transfer them by other means to your new pc, otherwise it will erase them from your iPod. The first time you click the sync button(assuming you've already authorized both pcs), a message will pop up asking whether you will want to 'Erase data' or 'Transfer purchases', click on 'Transfer purchases' and iTune will automatically transfer all your iTune purchased songs and apps to your new iTune.
