Will an Apple gift card (not an iTunes one) buy a new iPod touch?

I have an Apple Store gift card for $100 (this is not an iTunes gift card to buy songs with) and I would like to know if it could go towards purchasing a new iPod touch.

There are three types of gift cards that you can purchase from the Apple Online Store: Apple Gift Cards, iPhone Gift Cards, and iTunes Gift Cards.
iTunes Gift Certificates are also available for purchase exclusively through the iTunes Store.

How to Purchase Apple Gift Cards
Apple Gift Cards can be purchased from the Apple Online Store in any amount between $25-$2500 or over the phone at 1-800-MY-APPLE for any dollar amount.

How to Use Apple Gift Cards
Apple Gift Cards can be redeemed in any Apple Store, on the Apple Online Store, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. Apple Gift Cards can be used only in the U.S.
In an Apple Store, simply present the card to the cashier at time of payment. If you are using your Apple Gift Card at the Apple Online Store or over the phone at 1-800-MY-APPLE, you'll need to provide the 16-digit card number and 8-digit PIN (to be scratched off). Remember to keep the card in your possession until your item(s) have been delivered.
You can use up to eight Apple Gift Cards at the Apple Online Store or if placing an order over the phone at 1-800-MY-APPLE. You can use up to six Apple Gift Cards for one transaction when you purchase at an Apple Store. You can combine your Apple Gift Card(s) with one credit card to pay for your purchase.

Checking Your Apple Gift Card Balance
You can check your Apple Gift Card balance by visiting Your Account or by calling1-888-320-3301.
Lost or Stolen Cards
To report a lost or stolen Apple Gift Card, please contact Apple at any Apple Store location or by telephone at 1-800-MY-APPLE. Replacement cards will be issued after Apple verifies that the lost or stolen card has not been redeemed and you present your original purchase receipt. Apple is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards.
