Will any SB card support gameport in VIS

I know that Microsoft stopped supporting gameport in VISTA. They do not want to do such a easy work, but they have written driver called "Unsuported gameport" with digital signature and hardware compatibility punch :-/
But what's my problem. I have a lot quite expensi've gaming devices. Unfortunately they are:
Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad (gameport version) - 4x .. my best gamepads ever (profi arcade shooting games)
Microsoft Sidewinder Racing Wheel (gameport)
I have not find any working gameport->USB converter (I have tried even 3 !!!), so my preffered devices do not work in VISTA. But when they were sold in shops, there were slogans like "undestructible, lifetime, rubust..." And now Thrash
So I need to know, if there is any chance that any SB will have working driver for gameport in VISTA

What type of footage are you editing?
Just because Premiere Elements doesn't fully utilize your graphics card doesn't mean it's not a good editor for you. In most cases, Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements are such efficient editors that they don't need to access your graphics card in order to perform very efficiently.
So don't confuse "doesn't support" your graphics card with "doesn't work" with your graphics card. I have a very high end graphics card on my computer, which comes in very handy when I'm editing motion graphics with After Effects and HitFilm. But, for video editing, Premiere Elements works terrific without needing to take advantage of my system's advanced graphics capabilities.
So what kind of footage are you editing and what is it that you need your photo and video editors to do that they're not doing?

a simple Google search brings up the official list:

Any other cards may or may not work for GPU accelerated effects in AE using the Ray-traced rendering system, but this rendering engine is obsolete and will not be undergoing any further development.
A better list to look at are the Mercury playback supported cards for Premiere Pro.

nView is the keyword to look for. The card should have at least one DVI and one VGA, or two VGA or two DVI.

HP s5-1020 sound card support?!?

ive had a beutiful logitech speaker setup and i just bought a slimline s5-1020 and at staples it said it supports up to 5.1 sound, i even opened it up and saw the slot for the sound card but i can NOT find ANY sound card support whatsoever. does anyone know where i can find a sound card for this thing?

It sounds like you are looking for an audio in port, but don't have one on this model of TouchSmart. From looking at your PC specs, it looks like you have an Audio Out port, Microphone port, and USB ports. Depending on the device you use for connecting your vinyl/cassets to the PC, you could use the mic port or you could use USB and get a USB port converter. I would like to upgrade my video graphics to something that will support Witcher 2. I picked up a video card but then realized the power consumption is too great for this pc. Any suggestions on what card I can get that will support this type of graphics? (It is a windows 8 machine if that makes any difference.)

Hello Leach69,
There are two things to consider when purchasing a video card. The slots that are available in your computer and the power supply that is already in the computer. If you are looking to play modern games you are going to need a good video card, as you already know. I would suggest that you also consider upgrading your power supply to something that provides more power so that you can use that card that does use more power consumption.
Upgrading the power supply is also going to give you the freedom to do other upgrades in the future if you choose to do so. The power supply that is currently in your computer is only 300w from what I can tell, this means you are going to be extremely limited.
I'd suggest upgrading your power supply to something around a 550w - 600w then you can get just about any video card you want as long as you have the slot for it.

National Instruments PXI chassis and cards are keyed for 5V operation, and there are not any current plans to migrate to a 3.3V setup. We currently do not have a solution for using a 3.3V-only card in one of our chassis.

How did you create the account ? Unless you followed the instructions on the page that you post from exactly then you won't get the 'none' option and you will need to enter payment details - those instructions won't work on existing accounts.
I tried those instructions a week ago in response to another thread and I got the 'none' option on it e.g. on my computer's iTunes I logged out of my existing account, found a free app in the store, clicked on its 'free' price, clicked on 'create Apple id' on the popup, and after agreeing to the terms and filling in my details I was able to select 'none' as my payment option and download a free app with it.

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

Premiere cs5 mercury engine will it work without any graphic card?

HI there I have core 2quad 6600 processor of 2.4ghz, and intel classic series fb33 motherboard, with only onboard video ram shared with physical ram of 2gb.
I want to install cs5 on 64bit OS and upgrade total ram to 8 gb without buying any graphic cards(right now). Qn is will I be able to edit avchd videos? will the
mercury engine still be enabled? I know its kinda "no budget, want all qn" Right now I dont wanna buy a card as am plannin to buy new system later..

Yes, of course, you are correct, Harm. I was over-simplifying.
I Took the OP's "enabled" to really mean "accelerated", and in that sense, it will not work as without the necessary graphics card there will be no acceleration.
I can certainly support your third paragraph, having just moved from a four-year-old system with a quad 3 GHz processor, 8 GB of RAM and a hacked 460 GTX graphics card, to a Sandy Bridge E system with a 3930 CPU, 32 GB of RAM but the same graphics card and HDD set up (for the moment). Your oft stated "molasses in winter" describes my old system pretty well from my present viewpoint!
The old system coped with the fairly gentle HDV, provided I kept the number of assets down, but threw a hissy fit if I tried 1920 HD, even with the Matrox (I know, I know!) I-frame codec.

You would be better off upgrading along my path - motherboard and processor first, using as much as you can of your old system for now, as this allows much better scope for future upgrading.

The phone will "work" with any standard GSM carrier.
However, LTE and iPhone features like FaceTime, iMessage, Visual Voicemail may not work unless you use a carrier that officially supports iPhones.

I have a beige, which I think is a rev A ROM, and I wan't to connect my HP Scanjet 6350C scanner to it. I have 2 choices:
- I can buy a SCSI cable DB25 to HD50 and use the scanner in SCSI mode. This configuration is only supported in OS 9.
_ can add a USB card and use the scanner in OS X.
Since the beige is mostly booted in OS X, the second solution will prevent me from rebooting to OS 9 each time I want to scan.
But, can I buy any USB card from a PC shop and put it in the beige hoping it will work or I need a specific model or type to work in the mac?
I may not need USB 2.0 since the scanner is USB 1.1 only.
What are your suggestions?

Hello Steve,
In general, you can install almost any USB card into almost any Beige G3, but that is not exactly the same thing.
In general, the easiest way to install a USB card is to perform a clean install/re-install of the Operating System with the USB card in place. The Mac installer does not install the appropriate drivers/support unless it "sees" the need, which means it has to get a response from the USB port when it goes looking. You can work around this by doing a custom install or by using Tome Viewer.
Some people have reported trouble with the Rev A ROM chip; fix is to go with a Rev B ($77D,45F1) or Rev C (&77D.45F2) - a good idea anyhow.
Some people have reported trouble with certain cards - often some (but not all) Belkins, and with some chips - often (but not always) the OPTI.
Sometimes these items will not install, but will work after another card has been installed.
For myself, I have found that doing a clean install/reinstall (of OS9) using an Orange Micro (now out of business) or MacAlly USB/firewire card has yielded 100% success, and has let me use any of the "generic" - or otherwise - cards I have run across.
Since I haven't (yet) installed OSX on a beige G3, I can't comment on how that will work in your situation.
