We need Apple to create social network like blackberry network (BBM) but in apple way ;)

They kind of tried with iTunes "ping". I'm not a big iTunes users so I don't know how successful it is. Apple's strategy is to stay out of areas where they can't be the best and that strategy is working very well for them. Twitter and Facebook are peaking now. Once they start their inevitable downward slide Apple may see an opportunity to enter that market. Hopefully they will stay out of the advertising arena. Apple prefers to sell products to consumers and add as much value as they can to their products. In advertising, you are the product being sold to advertisers. Apple doesn't do that business and I hope it stays that way.

There is a passcode lock for the phone. Individual apps can implement their own locking mechanism (e.g. 1Password, iBank, etc.). It's neither likely nor practical for Apple to implement any kind of system that would lock individual apps. If you don't want people looking at the neked pics of your significan other, then don't keep them on your phone or don't let people use your phone.

I am currently looking for a NAS-solution for my Mac-home. I have found a NAS-server with great Mac-compatibility, but before I invest in this I wanted to check with you guys...
Is Apple really never going to develop a NAS-server? So far, the best Mac NAS-solution I have found is AppleTV with external hard drives and aTV Flash :S
Can anybody enlighten me on the question, please?

As far as I can see, Synology does not support HFS(+) formatted USB drives allthough they have promised this since at least 2009.(ref their forum)
QNAP does support it (allthough its reported a bug if a folder only contains .mov files)
I like the Synology 3.1 web-interface better than QNAP`s and you will get a 4 bay NAS cheaper from Synology than QNAP. Still I would choose QNAP and it looks like the QNAP ts-412 is the best choice if you want a home NAS (abt $300 without disks). From Synology I would probably go for the 411j (abt $230 ex disks), the new 410.
I would strongly recommend a 4 bay NAS instead of 2 bay since you then can use RAID 5 which gives redunancy but only "stealing" 25 % of storage instead of 50%
Another top tip is not to use WD Green disks or any other Eco disks. They have a tendancy to fail or/and make a lot of trouble in Linux based systems (which they are all based on) in RAID. (ref all forums from NAS builders)

For Apple store go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sign out and sig in with correct ID
For messages go to Settings>FaceTime>You can be reached at and ad an their own unique email address and delete the common Apple ID address.
Similar for Messages too.

I have been with this company for over 10 years and frankly I always overlooked one thing wasn't to keen on and that was some of the services Verizon offered on their website which many of the account related services they have as apps so you can view from your phone are good and useful. I have been an Android user since the first Moto Droid to the Incredible and Inc2, then I though I was gonna go iphone, until I was able to use one for a month. Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad it was my brothers 4G on another network when he upgraded to the 4GS. Anyway no real problems other than Android just has more to offer so I went with the Nexus Galaxy and stayed with Verizon, after I was flipping a coin to go to Sprint. Anyway the reason I am leaving Verizon is due to their attempt to create apps to try to compete with googles apps and Verizon charges... you can find most for free from the droid market(which is the Play store now) such as Navigation. The free Google Nav is awesome, I also have google voice(free) so I get text messages emailed to me and vmails emailed and texted to me as well as being able to listen straight from phone by pushing play by the missed call. Verizon continutes to create these apps that also cost money and aren't near as good. I actually feel bad for the people who think the VZ nav is in fact the google nav. Now they are blocking a new service of Google's called Google Wallet. It's free and really cool, but Verizon blocks you from installing it or using it and Verizon is spending over a 100,000,000 dollars to create their own Wallet APP that i'm sure won't be free. So it's not that one app as to why I am leaving, its a number of things that as an experienced user and add the fact that I work in the tech industry, in sales that I Verizon taking advantage of customers, and I don't work that way or like it. Okay you go buy a verizon phone, it will have the VZ Nav right there on the home screen, however there will be no google Nav, and for newbies they usually think this is the navigation everyone talks about. You have to go download the Google Maps which is a turn by turn navigation always up to date and is awesome. I watch my kid driving down the road at all times for free. My point is now that their blocking Google Wallet because they are creating there own wallet, which won't be as good, and probably cost money to even spend money meaning they will charge for it. What is the next brilliant thing that Google comes out with that you can intergrate into your Google services. So what is the point of trying to compete with Google on apps, I mean the Verizon wallet? Why it makes no sense. Why block an app thus not giving you the luxery. They have their reasons of course such as security, and other reasons that it could cause problems but, hey if you dare to spend the outrageous amount of money to activate your hostspot to connect your computer wirelessly in a park. 75% of the people who do this are going to be on an unsecured network that anyone can connect to even with security turned on. So they say there worried about security on the wallet app, because someone may cold get access to your small amount that most people keep on the google wallet but the wireless hotspot is putting much more that money out there. it's putting personal things and files on your computer out there. I just dont' get why they can't provide their songs and ring tones and apps that allow you to see you data usage and leave the apps for the Google market. For you who don't know please download google maps and you will have an awesome navivation. Also google talk, voice, chat, and there apps on the google market for free such as a punch clock for time. I saw one for over $14 on the verison app store. Any list or search will always query the database regardless of volume. For example, a user has access to just 1 account record. This record could be one of 10 million other account records. To allow the user to see this record, the entire account pool will be queried. That's where indexes help and queries are really fast.
Turning off search is not the solution. Ensuring queries are optimized is the solution. For example, manager visibility always slows down the search because the nature of a manager visibility search requires compex search patterns. So you could turn off manager visibility for your company and use alternate means like books. Manager visibility search is a feature that's primarily used by small-to-medium-business (SMBs). Large enterprises should never use it.

Will apple ever include a "saturation" button in which it is possible to alter the degree of colour on the screen similar to the brightness slider bar? Many complain that their screens lack the vibrant colours needed to really enjoy watching movies and playing their favourite apps. Including this feature could boost sales and popularity of all the iDevices, including iPod touch which generally has a poor colour quality.

I personally doubt it, but let Apple know of your concern here. They should have a Gamma adjustment to get rid of the yellow hue of screens too. Unfortunately, you have to jailbreak to do that.

Yes. I would clarify your statement about the "shared" iTunes Library though. If you want each iOS device to have its own music library, you should create separate user accounts for them. Read:

Yes, you can. In fact it's recommended that you use different IDs for iMessage, FaceTime and iCloud. You can still share the same ID for iTunes without any issues.
You are getting each other's text messages because you're using the same ID for iMessage. To fix this, one of you should go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign in with a different ID. To avoid getting each other's FaceTime calls, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.

PPT slides will not advance on their own, pausing automatically in Captivate 6 import

So frustrating, This was working around 8 pm lst nite, then all of a sudden the slides will not advance on their own. I've read several posts and tried most. I've unchecked the compression settings in Captivate 6, made sure I have the patch, I uninstalled 6 and tried using 5.5, then reinstalled 6 with the patch update. I've used Continue on enter and Go to next slide on Exit. NOTHING WORKS! and I need this by noon! what am I doing wrong!! This is Powerpoint 2007 slideshow with animation but no slide transitions going into Captivate 6. Please help I hvave 4 more to do this week by Wednesday.

Can you check this in your PowerPoint.
Go to a slide select the object(s) that has animation applied, go to Animation tab and check if the animation is timed to appear ON CLICK with the Slide, that property would not migrate, you should change the drop down to With Previous .
Repeat this for all the animations. Go to Captivate library, if the Presentation is linked you can update it (if it is not linked switch to link from embed)

Keep in mind Flash is a third party plugin not written by Apple. Apple is not responsible for incompatibility issues with the Flash plugin.

Try troubleshooting...
Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty ri.
Cache
Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safa
