Will Apple ever update iWork?

I converted my entire office to Mac in feb 2007.  we have spent 3 years developing software to get off our legacy windows based solutions.  I'd LOVE to move off of Office (excel/word).  Pages and Numbers are great, and certainly able to create NEW documents for us.  But.....  ALL of our clients are Microsoft Office users, and we share files back and forth on a day in day out basis.  What I have wanted - for at least 3 years - is the ability to open and save docs, in .docx and .xlsx format, without having to perform an Export.  Just a preference setting in Pages/Numbers to save.
iWork hasn't been updated in more than 3 years.  its as if the entire development is done for ipad/iphone only.  With all the developors at Apple - is anyone still associated with developing products for iWork???

There is a fix:

After fix you can open *.doc, edit and save without export.

  • Will Apple ever update beyond version 5.1.7?

Hello, longtime Safari for Windows user first time poster.
By now we're all probably wondering if/when Apple will release a version of Safari for Windows newer than 5.1.7.
Are there any plans to do so?
    *kicks engineers in the butt
There, that should get you all going.
Now, when will Safari get updated? Getting way too many crashes and WebKit2WebProcess.exe errors.

By now we're all probably wondering...
I'm not wondering.  It's been dead for almost 3 years now.  Most have probably gotten the hint by now.  Time to move on...

  • Will apple ever update imovie software for the desktop

In the Fall of 2010, Apple released iMovie 11' and since the release of the iPad, they seem to only be creating updates for iMovie on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch!!!  I want to know if Apple is going to update it on OSX.

The last update to iMovie '11 (to version 9.0.8 if I remember correctly) was in Sep 2012.  iMovie is in the App Store.
    Ninja'd, darn it!

I have just received my second MacBook Air 11" the Wifi connection keeps dropping. Also, after 3 meters away from the rooter it keeps searching for network! It is the second try and the same issues. Will Apple ever come up with a solution? There is a program pack for the connection issue but I cannot believe that this computer wifi keeps connected only while nearby the rooter!

    Applied this update?

will apple next update to help fix the location following data problems will the ipod touch 2g be included ?

  • TS2755 When will Apple ever make it convenient for the customer, I just bought an iPad Air and I'm very upset that I can only use iMessage, iPads are the biggest mistake to buy. I'll never buy another if I can text using SMS or MMS

When will Apple ever make it convenient for the customer, I just bought an iPad Air and I'm very upset that I can only use iMessage, iPads are the biggest mistake to buy if you like texting family and friends. I'll never buy another one if I can't text using SMS or MMS.  Is there any hope for a patch or new operating system to fix this issue, or an app to use with iPad Air

    Hi...
Keep in mind Flash is a third party plugin not written by Apple. Apple is not responsible for incompatibility issues with the Flash plugin.
    Thoughts on Flash
    Try troubleshooting...
    Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty ri.
    Cache
    Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to:  Open in 32 bit mode  is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safa

  • Will Apple Software Update update a 64 bit version of iTunes

On 64 bit Windows 7, will Apple Software Update update a 64 bit installation of iTunes, Bonjour, and Apple Mobile Support to a new 64 bit version of the software when a new version comes out or will it try to install pure 32 bit versions of the software when I use Apple Software Update.
Basically, is Apple Software Update smart enough to realize that the version of Windows 7 I am using is 64 bit and that I used the 64 bit package to install iTunes, Bonjour, and Apple Mobile Support, etc originally. I know that the software is not entirely 64 bit, but I would like to keep the parts that are.
    Thanks.

The answer is "yes, ASU does download the 64-bit stuff on a 64-bit PC".
I uninstalled iTunes, BonJour and Apple Mobile Device Support (all of which have at least some 64-bit componentry) on the 64-bit Vista system. Did an "iTunes + QuickTime 9.0.3" install via ASU. The 64-bit pieces were all in place after the ASU update. (AMDS program files, iTunes miniplayer stuff, iPod Service Module, 64-bit BonJour namespace provider, and so forth.)

  • Will apple ever support blue tooth 4

will apple ever support blue tooth 4

Then you would need to add newer hardware to your older Mac
    http://www.amazon.com/IOGEAR-Bluetooth-Micro-Adapter-GBU521/dp/B007GFX0PY#
You cannot magically support features on hardware that was not built with them. The actual wires and chips need to have the features.  You need a newer BT chip.

will apple ever release plex on apple TV?

Isn't the appstore removed on Apple TV?
If I have some video to stream to portable device to watch, I'd stream via iTunes. Sometimes use some third party converter (Pavtube, MakeMKV) to transcode Blurays to iTunes library, but not quite often.

  • Will apple ever introduce saturation alterations?

Will apple ever include a "saturation" button in which it is possible to alter the degree of colour on the screen similar to the brightness slider bar? Many complain that their screens lack the vibrant colours needed to really enjoy watching movies and playing their favourite apps. Including this feature could boost sales and popularity of all the iDevices,  including iPod touch which generally has a poor colour quality.

I personally doubt it, but let Apple know of your concern here. They should have a Gamma adjustment to get rid of the yellow hue of screens too. Unfortunately, you have to jailbreak to do that.

  • Will Apple ever consider expanding its keyboard on its mobile devises?

Will Apple ever consider expanding its keyboard on its mobile devises? We are endlessly having to punch in our multiple-symbol passwords and constantly having to switch between keyboards is frustrating. I think it's a good idea.

If you want to enter your complicated password without a whole lot of keyclicks, you can do that right now!
Just go to Settings --> General --> Keyboard ---> Add New Shortcut ...
