Will Apple Finally Fix Safari Close X Going Missing Issue?

As many are aware, Safari Tabs suffer from the X close button going missing after extensive use of the browser. I'm familiar with the two main ways to get it back ie: Force Restart, or Reset Safari. However, the issue always resurfaces at some point. Quite frankly, it makes using Safari quite annoying to say the least.
Anyone aware if Apple will in fact have a fix for this at any point in the future? It seems to be an issue that a wide number of people have suffered from.

No it's not. It's suddenly missing on my iPad as well. In fact, it is just many of the disastrous effects of ios 8. I now have a machine- iPad 2- that feels like my lousy Asus computer running Windows 8-- everything is sluggish, odd things like sounds which used to occur no longer occur- like when plugging in power, notes load like a slug, email loads even more slowly, problems running Youtube, etc. In my opinion the whole rollout of this new system is a disaster. I can't find one new thing I like about it, and it has made me seriously reconsider whether to ever buy Apple again. All the hyperbola...for this??? Absurd. they need to get their shop in order before releasing garbage onto the market. Less money spent glorifying the technology, more time spent doing what Steve Jobs did- make it right, make it bloody simple and elegant, and get it right the first time.

When will apple finally fix all the email issues for everyone? Mine is dead

I have read all of the answers to problems and have tried every solution posted and my account email is still acting like is uploading and updating but nothing comes up on the screen. I noticed that a lot of people here has some type of issue with emails which it happens to be at least for me one of the main reasons to buy the iphone (besides how cool it is)
Would apple realize all this issues and help us all to get functionality in the emails? Or there is somebody in this discussion that still have some tricks up their sleeve? I'll take every help i can get, right now I'm the joke of the office as everybody else have Treos and get their email working fine. Its frustrating and frankly the iphone beats the other phones hands down but it wont work!!!!!!!

Much of what we have to work with is the email servers and settings that your email provider requires.
What type of email account are you accessing?
Do you notice the same behavior on Wi-Fi and EDGE both?
Is this your own account, a work account with an Exchange server, or a domain that you have hosted somewhere?

The note at the top mentions IMAP must be enabled on the Exchange server. In addition many workplaces put their Exchange server behind a firewall, and need to allow access past the firewall either by opening ports up, or via VPN for the Exchange server to work for users outside of the company network.

Apple, please fix safari random crash and tab auto refresh

Apple, are those issues ever going to get fixed? They destroyed iOS 7's usability and the latest 7.1 beta doesnt seem to address either.
1) Safari randomly crashes - happens multiple times a day. Sometimes opening new pages, sometimes scrolling through existing page. This issue has NEVER happened on iOS 6.
2) Tabs auto refreshing when you switch from 1 tab to the next - it is EXTREMELY annoying, for example when i was typing up a post in a tab or looking at the result of a long search, then need to lookup something else so i open up a new tab, then when I go back to the original tab, it automatically refreshes wiping out everything i just typed or the searh result. This issue has NEVER happened in iOS 6.
I am using ipad air with the latest update. Please fix them, it's unacceptable.

Will Apple Care fix a phone with a broken back glass?

I bought an iPhone 4 in July 2010 at an ATT store, and bought an Apple Care plan with it at the same time. I managed to shatter the back glass of my phone on the day I bought it. It's been working fine ever since with the broken back glass. I just put it in a case and haven't worried about the back being broken.
However, recently the home button has stopped working very well. I am still under Apple Care extended warranty; however, I don't know if they will fix my home button with the back glass being broken. Does anyone have any ideas or ever been in this situation?

Sorry, but you're going to be out of luck. There is no way to prove that the damage that cased the glass to crack did not also cause the problem you want fixed under warranty. The only option Apple is going to give you is a $149 out of warranty replacement.

i was listening to music, and long story short i stood up off my bed quickly and my computer went and slid off the edge. now the side where the usb ports are is cracked. this happened a while ago, but i still have apple care. will they fix it?

Your warranty does not cover damage due to user's negligence. Sorry to say, but you will need to pay for any repairs.

I was patiently waiting for fixes since 5.x... but now I see that you won't do anything if we don't say something about it...
I have iPhone 4 with iOS 6.1.3, so:
- Cellular Data settings (APN, Username and Password fields in Cellular Data, MMS and Internet Tethering sections) get wiped out on each iOS update... with no exception! I could maybe live with that but what started happening recently I cannot: sometimes just out of the blue these same fields get wiped out. And then I'm left wondering why 3G doesn't work.. sometimes I think it's the coverage but then I remember it might be this annoying bug. And what's more after I fill them back in I have to restart the phone for it to start working again. Everytime you release a new iOS update I install it just to see if you'll fix this bug and of course first I have to fill the settings back in and then hope they at least won't disappear on their own... but they do..
- Keyboard Shortcuts just stop working... This happened in some previous version of 6.x and I found a workaround.. I think I had to delete the shortcuts and add them back in a special way.. thankfully I have just one.. can't imagine the pain if I had much more. After some time after I fixed it the problem just came back... so now I always have to type my email instead of using a handy shortcut.
- Outgoing email sometimes gets stuck at 100%.. it happened on 3G when I needed it most.. and today it happened on wifi as well (it wen't through after 10 minutes or so). BAD
I think I'll switch to competition soon because it's not "it just works" anymore.. I can understand bugs happen and everything but I would really expect them to be fixed after a lot of people write about them... and after a lot of time. This phone is not even good for my GF anymore because the 3G will just stop working and he won't know how to fill those disappearing settings back in.

NOTE: Apple Care nor the standard warranty does not cover accidental damage. You will be responsible for the repair costs (which are usually more than the cost of the computer).
If you have homeowners or rental coverage check w/them. Most policies cover accidental damage.
If you purchased your computer w/a credit card, check w/them also. You just may be covered.

HOORAY!! Apple finally fixed QT!!

Just downloaded and installed the latest software update for QuickTime and it fixed the previous update issues. The problem was that the video would stall a few seconds into a movie but the audio would continue on.
So if you had this same problem due to the previous QT software update [and I know that there are more than a few here] the fix is 'IN'!!
Download & install the latest QT update and you're back in business

I realize Apple may think the rest of the world (ex. CNN, Digg, etc..) needs to change their RSS feeds, but why not fix the RSS screensaver so that it doesn't default to December 31, 2000 and show only 4 news stories for most feeds? Even most of Apples RSS feeds don't comply. And this is by design?

Better is to send bug reports and enhancement requests to Apple via its Bug Reporter system. To do the latter, join the Apple Developer Connection (ADC)—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report/enhancement request. The nice thing with this procedure over submitting feedback is that you get a response and a follow-up number; thus, starting a dialog with engineering.

I've had a few months with this MacBook Pro (Intel Core Duo 2.0GHz), and I've come to dislike it.
Firstly, When I connect the MagSafe charger into its port, it makes a high pitched sound, that while I was able to stand the first few weeks, it's starting to drive me insane as I try to enjoy some peace and quite while surfing the net.
Then, Comes this weird buzzing sound, it will usually happen when you turn up or turn down the brightness of the display.
and Lastly, the display has a few white spots, though it will usually go unnoticed while I surf the net, or type up some essay; But when I start using dark backgrounds, or dark object you're able to see them quite clearly.

Yea, they will probably replace the power converter.
As for the white spots - no luck there - there has to be x amount within x amount of area.
Regardless, what has made you wait "a few months" to address these issues? You should have mentioned this to apple within the first 7 day return period!

You can get the iPhone repaired at an Apple Store without any problem. If your iPhone is in warranty, you can take it wherever you want if you have any problem, so you can get it repaired or replaced. Moreover, I recommend you to take it to an Apple Retail Store

When will Apple finally resolve audio bug muting ipad 2 ?

There is a clear software problem with this device and nobody is admitting to it.
Other members of my family have exactly the same intermittent problem with audio vanishing and then emerging on the iPad 2.
It has nothing at all to do with "mute" or "volume turned down" or any other 1-brain cell answers, it would seem that certain apps are conflicting something and the audio slider simply vanishes all together.
Shutting all the apps down, doing soft resets often bring it back on - but not all the time. Only a few mainstream apps are on this machine such as facebook, twitter, rightmove and autotrader and still the problem persists.
It persists with mine, it persists with my mum's and it persists with a work collegue - and we all own an iPad 2.
Under contract law if a latent fault is not remedied by the manufacturer, regardless of the warranty expiring or not - then it shall be replaced with the very latest model or it shall be completely refunded.
Do apple want to go through that?

Will Adobe ever fix the UI text font size issues in CS6 apps?

Having recently installed CS6 on my new Windows computer, I find some serious issues with font sizes in the user interface (and not only in Dreamweaver, but in several--but not all--the applicaitons). You'd think that with a 27-inch screen, font sizes wouldn't be a problem. And you'd be wrong.
The irony is that some text is properly sized. Commands in the menus. For example. But the menu names are not. The text of items in the File tab is correctly sized, but the name of the File tab is not. In the Manage Sites dialog box, the title bar text is properly sized, but the text within, including button labels, is not. IN almost all of these cases, text is just plain way too small to read. It looks like the programmers made a HUGE boo-boo: they sized text in pixels, not only a no-no in web diesgn, but a no-no in applicaiton design.
Because on a 27-inch screen with a resolution of 1920x1080, UI text in Dreamweaver is all plenty large and readable, while on a 27-inch screen with a resolution of 2560x1440, UI text all over the applicaiton is too tiny to read--and made worse by putting the text on a gray background, reducing contrast, yet another design no-no.
CC is NOT an option--and properly should not be for any occasional user. Do not even think of suggesting it as a "solution."
This is clearly a bug (did Adobe do any testing on higher-resolution screens before releaseing CS6?), and one I wonder if it is unique to Windows systems (as Apple has had similarly high-resolutiopn screen for its displays and iMac lines for quite some time now). Or is it uniquely a Windows 8 issue?
Finally, is there at all a workaround? I can find nothing in the Settings dialog box that would control the size of UI text. Perhaps there is a text-based configuration file that could be modified to change the size of UI text. (Yeah, having configured autoexec.bat, config.sys, win.ini, and similar files back in the day, I do know my way around configuration files--if they are still used.)

What made you think that you should complain to Adobe about Windows display problem? Adobe and Microsoft are two different companies competing against each other.
However, you might have display problem and the best way to resolve this is by going to:
Control Panel >> Display
Follow the online instructions.
Please not, you go to control Panel from within the windows itself NOT from DW.
Hope this gets you started or you can ask in the Windows Forum on Microsoft Website.
