For me, it's keeping me from updating OS on my iPhone 4 and I know that eventually I will have to do so (as Apps and other features are updated based on new OS). I just hate to lose my helpful transit directions (and yes, I know I could find apps for specific transit companies, but what I have now with the Google Maps is just so perfect, one of the most helpful things on my phone)

I must admit to having moved to iCloud to do this some while ago.
I had presumed the wording in iTunes and the big Sync button at the bottom did actually mean Sync.
However it seems you are explaining it is similar to the iMessages "Sync" across devices which is in fact actaully only "Display on All Devices". (What you do with an iMessage on one device does not effect it on another).

When will Apple fix the "Show my caller ID" glitch that effects service reception? IOS7 has done nothing if not made it worse

I have downloaded IOS7 specifically to try and solve this annoying glitch that disables the "Show my caller ID" and effects my service reception, I know it effects it as when I have no service I can guarantee that the "show my caller ID" selection is disabled, when I turn it on miraculously I have service once again.
Such a stupid little problem that surely is easily rectified.
When will Apple fix this????

Thanks for that but unfortunately been there, got the T-shirt, they replaced the phone with a new one, and still happens. I believe from what I have read, it's a software glitch that quite a few people have had problems with.

Will Apple fix the iOS 5.1 battery drain issue?

People keep giving battery saving solutions to the iOS 5.1 battery drain problem but that is not the issue. With iOS 5.0 battery life was terriable. Apple quickly fixed it with 5.01. Now with 5.1 battery life is back to terrible. I could go at least two days without a charge. After the update (and all my patterns and behaviors being the same), I don't even get a full day! Apple needs to fix this! Or allow us to go back to iOS 5.01. Will Apple fix this and if so how soon can we expect a solution?

Yes, you need to setup the phone as new. I understand your issues on the whole process of setting everything from scratch, I'm afraid that's the only way out. However, if you look closely, on the whole, it boils down to following issues only.
Contacts - You will get this back once you setup your iCloud account on the phone so it shouldn't be a great issue.
Apps - Do a transfer purchase to your mac/pc before going for firmware complete reset, once you set the phone as new, you can always sync back the apps. This beats the inapp things like game levels, or your pdf docs synced earlier. iBooks can be restored, otherwise enable document and files backup to iCloud in settings before resetting the phone, then you can get everything back from iCloud.
Mails - If you have a mac you can keep all your mail accounts configured on Mail.app, post install you can bring them back from Mail.app to phone easily; otherwise, I'm afraid you need to do everything manually
Settings - you will have to setup your wifi configuration, VPN if any manually from the scratch
Dispite all the hasseles listed above, the battery fix would be a hot sun on the face in a winter day. Go for it!

Does anybody know when new batches of the iphone 6 and 6 plus ,without the bending problem (bendgate), will be released ? I wanted to buy the iphone 6 but id rather wait till they fix the bending problem.

Per Apple, Siri is currently in beta and basically only works in the US.
What you describe is not a glitch, it's simply a limitation of the beta application.

When will Apple fix the Sonos compatibility issue?

How soon should we expect Apple to work with Sonos to fix the compatibililty issue with Lion? I am a Sonos fan for the same reason I am a Apple fan, their stuff works and is simple. I would like to upgrade to Lion but read that the Lion release does "not support sharing drives formatted as FAT32" which apparently Sonos uses. Does this sound like a simple fix or a long term problem?

Appreciate the direction to check with Sonos. I looked again at their website and Sonos asserts they believed they had a working software update that would work with Lion during their testing, and while they had a few bugs they were working through prior to the Lion launch, the one issue they have yet to find a work around for is Lion's inability to share music files. Is there an underlying technology reason that would cause Apple to block access to music files?
I am fearful that I will be caught in the middle and have to choose between upgrading to Lion or abandoning my Sonos equipment. I hope this doesn't become an issue like the Adobe Flash vs Apple issue. I imagine most Sonos equipment owners did not purchase with plans of buying replacement gear every 4 to 6 years, unlike the mindset when purchasing computers where we expect to have to replace in 6 years or less.
Hoping for responses that may help Sonos equipment owners to gain insight into the underlying cause of the problem, and whether we should expect a SIMPLE solution soon.

When will Apple fix the iTunes update msvcr80.dll issue?

Just for the records, my Windows iTunes has become unusable, too. The buggy update 11.4.1 ist still offered to my other windows installations. At least, it should be immediately pulled back.
When will Apple deliever an automated bugfix to this update-mess? I do not intend to de-install and reinstall all my Apple-programs on my Windows machine (in fact, I don't use iTunes on Windows anymore, my Macs run flawless and there I have the actual database). Apple: you broke it. You fix it.

These are user to user support forums. There is no logical reason to expect a response from Apple here. Frankly Apple rarely releases statements, only software updates.

When will apple fix the icloud photostreaming?

1) I want to be able to delete individual files. Why wouldn't they allow pictures from the cloud to be deleted?
2) I want to be able to reset my photostreaming, currently iCloud services are busted, since Apple failed to plan to have enough servers for their new iPhone release. When is Apple going to fix the iCloud issue?
Here's the problem that I am currently having.

my photostram only works on the iOSdevice but stopped refrehsing in Aperture. ( worked before ).
Now I have 40 new pictures in photostream that I want in Aperture, but they never show up.
Another failing feature of iCloud.
Yesterday iwork on iOS deleted my pages and numbers files instead of syncing them.

HT1338 When will Apple fix the sound sync problem in PhotoBooth video?

Suggestions online are
(1) reboot with cmd/opt/p/r This is not a solution but a temporary fix, a sign that Mountain Lion is not working well!
(2) reset the sound config in Audio settings. This works briefly, again a temporary fix.

sounds like 3rd party music then..
SO i would delete them from the itunes library and re add them to the itunes library.
TO test this out you should delete ONE SONG or ONE ALBUM and test that ONE SONG or ONE ALBUM only to see if they sync to the device..
are you using a windows or mac? Updated itunes?

Performed any maintenance lately? Hopefully you have backed up all your important data just in case.
Since the Finder, Mail, and Safari are crashing, that's an indication the startup disk may need repairing.
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If DU reports errors, restart your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you can access the built-in utilities to repair the disk using OS X Recovery

Yesterday when I did the Update to IOS 5.0.1 it was the worst thing to do..... when I had IOS 5 it worked great! Since I did the update the issue was the battery life. I would charged up my ipad1 to 100% and every min it would lose one percent. Every minute until it died. Apple please fix this problem. Your getting me worried.How soon could you guess fix this problem. I wont have to wait 2 weeks or more will I?
Durring my observation I notice i had my ipad sideways and turned on my ipad and i heard a camera sound out of knowhere. Ipad 1 dosent have a camera and i dont have any apps that deals with camers? Just wanted to put that out there.

I haven't noticed any battery issues on my first gen iPad with iOS 5.0.1 (nor on 5.0 before that). Have you tried a reset to see if that helps (press and hold both the home and sleep buttons for 10 to 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears), and/or gone through a charge cycle (charge to 100%, run it down so that it powers off, and then re-charge to 100%) ?
In terms of the camera sound, if you briefly press both the home and sleep buttons then a screenshot is taken - if you look in the Saved Photos album in the Photos app you should find a shot of whatever was on your screen at the time.
